The location is perfect, very close to a city connecting roads, 400m to the nearest metro-station, 4 stops to the center, and at the same time it's a place somehow separated from the urban environment. You might feel like you're camping... Pretty good rooms with comfortable beds, private bathrooms, good heating, TV and everything you need for a short or longer stay. Large, safe and free of charge parking in the property. A nice restaurant is open there at the entrance. Very friendly and helpful staff, who will give you tips for exploring the city. And the owner speaks English. Overall, I highly recommend it. Will go there again next time! Thank you, Campanile Lille Sud! 🙂

Nothing to complain about...🙂

The Campanile in Lille Sud is as one would expect as I have used them a number of times when playing tournaments in France or on long drives. The one thing I sometimes forget is to try for a room on the ground floor as with large bags the outside steps up to the first floor rooms can be a little awkward. Its value for money and is clean with good staff and the little restaurant areas seem always to have easy meals if you don't feel like heading off. The location means you need to use the nearby metro to get into town, which is really easy, and its about a 15/20 minute walk to any local shops, etc and you are on the edge of an industrial area so there's no nice strolling in the immediate vicinity but its safe, secure and well run with comfortable rooms and good wifi.

For the price, which is really good value there was not a lot to take issue with. As with most places once you know what you're getting, and what you're looking not much you can complain about.

Clean tidy close to train station and metro that was extremely handy. Friendly staff room was always warm.

Very noisy neighbours and we are non smokers but my daughter and son were wakened up through the night with the smell of smoke in their bathroom coming in through the ventialtion vent from someone elses room. It was bad. Rhere does not seem to be anyone lije security walking around to check on noise etc. I also thought the room could do with a couch or possibly 2 comfy chairs to sit on. You dont always want to sit or lie on the bed and there was inly 1 wooden seat to sit on.

Cozy and simple. Good for the value. Beds are clean and comfortable. Room service clean and change sheets and towels every day without asking.

They allow dogs inside. One night I couldn’t sleep because of dogs barking in some rooms. Only one window which opens to the corridor and internal garden, which makes it very difficult to have privacy. When it is hot, you have to open the window, so no privacy nor feel of security.

Amazing location, very near a metro station. The metro runs every few moments and one can be in Lille centre within 15-20 minutes (walk to the metro station + metro ride). Plenty of parking spots by the hotel for a relatively cheap price.

Everything was good. However, they could add some eggs to the breakfast menu 🙂. But that's a very minor addition.

We loved being so close to the motorway although the access to the hotel from our direction of travel is a bit scary, you have to cross a very busy junction and then get into the correct lane very quickly but thankfully it was quiet when we arrived. The room was better than most budget hotels. The receptionist was great, letting me prattle on in bad French but reverting to English with a smile when I got stumped!

We didn't realise you had to pay for parking, it really annoys me on these booking sites when 'parking' can mean so many things. Please make it clear that it's not free parking!

Parking and security

We booked 3 nights only to find they closed the restaurant for two of the nights with no advanced notice. There were no alternative restaurants within easy walking distance.

For the price, this hotel is unbeatable. Things are well arranged and the staff is professional and efficient. The bedroom is very clean.

The hotel is in a quite remote place, and going there by foot is a bit uncomfortable (there is no real pedestrian way). The glass curtain of the shower is a bit short so the bathroom gets wet quickly.

Each staff from the arrival to the departure, helped in many ways to lessen our sadness as we came to attend a funeral. We remember the server who kindly brought breads to comfort us, that we thanked personally only at the end of our dinner when we realized it.

Good affordable accommodation. 15 min. with the bus from Lille Flandres Station. Looks more like a an apartment complex than an hotel. The room had all the basics I needed.

Not a fan of the shower/bath combo, I never know how these things work.
