We loved the historic building but with the quirky modern interior. The garden out the front where you can enjoy a drink from the bar. The breakfast / bar area with comfy seating and also on other floors so you could have a read away from your room. The bathroom was smart and clean. The rooms are nicely done with a large TV, some hanging space but otherwise minimal. The bed was fine for a few nights. We loved the location as near the Beaux Arts gallery and a 30-minute walk from the station. There were some good vegan /vegetarian restaurants nearby for us. We would go back if we are back in Lille as very reasonable and comfy.

Alexis , Charlie and the crew could not have been more helpful , everyone was fantastic , with its Avant Garde design Moxy makes you feel relaxed and at home , That is the job done , and with the warmth and attention of the crew , just seals the deal . What more can one ask for. Will I be back ? of course we will . Thank you Moxy. I have seen some negative reviews for Moxy most are trivial stuff that you will get at Hotels of this size , but remember that this is a 3 star Hotel offering exceptional value .....

Nice and clean rooms. It is very cozy and quiet. The hotel is located near the center but in a quiet area. The rooms are warm.

Upon arrival at the hotel, they forgot to put hygiene products such as soap in our room. We reported this to the reception and they gave us all that stuff, but anyway, it was so strange forgot to leave hygiene stuff. Also at midnight my friends and I were sitting on the sofas at the reception and chatting. They have special places with board games and all that. However, the man at the reception came up to us and said that it is not allowed to rest in the reception area at night.

We really liked the building, it looks like a Chateau on the outside, but it's very modern on the inside. Our room was very quiet and the bed comfy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is a little outside the center, but still a good location to use as a base for sightseeing etc.

The breakfast bar could be laid out a little better. It got very crowded at times but there wasn't anywhere to place trays whilst getting anything from the buffet. Lots of people were dropping things as a consequence. Water pressure for the shower dropped like a stone in the mornings when everyone was using it.

Funky, modern, staff were very helpful and friendly. Welcome drink on arrival. Stayed one night, great base for Lille! Beautiful walk into old town and plenty of places to eat and drink.

Rooms were functional and modern but bed very hard and awful pillows with no filling/support. There is nowhere to put a suitcase and no tea/coffee facilities in the room which was a real shame. No water bottles in room so had to go down to the bar for both. Arrived on Saturday lunchtime and Lille was empty and everything closed. Things picked up Saturday evening in the old town (restaurants and bars) but we walked out Sunday morning looking for a nice breakfast and nothing opens at all until 11-anywhere!! This is a lovely tradition but be aware that NOTHING opens on a Sunday morning. As we were only there the one morning, this proved a bit tricky.

Good location, nice rooms, comfy beds. Hotel has a nice lobby / front garden too if you want to get some work done or relax.

First time staying in a Moxy hotel and I find that it has a bit of a hostel vibe. Everyone at reception is super young and a bit unprofessional / not very knowledgeable. We asked about parking restrictions in front of the hotel and the guy at reception was like "I don't have a care so don't really care" :) One thing that we didn't like was that you can't open the windows. I've seen this mentioned in other reviews at different hotels.. but if you take a shower and the bathroom fan doesn't work it can get pretty stuffy.

Liked the breakfast included but the scrambled eggs cold and plates cold. Location was good a short walk to shops and restaurants and historic buildings. Loved the facade of the building. Nice staff. Liam very helpful with English.

Parking- being advised it needed to be reserved and that it could not accommodate large vehicles. I feel that there should be a system to park on the street free as a guest. No extra pillows Scrambled eggs cold and no hot plates at breakfast in a morning Tea coffee facilities in the room would have been welcome

Breakfast was absolute chaos. There was no one to greet you and ask your room number and check if you had paid. As a result there were not enough tables for everyone and there were people walking around with trays of food with nowhere to sit. The food needs to be replenished more quickly. When I went to check out I wasn’t asked whether I had enjoyed my stay. May be they were worried I was going to complain about breakfast.It’s the little things.

Moxy Lille City is a convenient hotel for those who are young - or have stayed young. While the room amenities are more than adequate, the hotel's common areas are stylish and inviting for business and workation travelers. Breakfast and dinner are served in a very relaxed atmosphere and offer everything you could want on a budget. The city center is only a few minutes walk away. Getting to the reserved parking lot is a bit complicated: first check in at the reception, then go back to the underground garage. This could be solved more easily.

The Moxy is cool and curious. A warm welcome awaited, a simple place at the bar, which seemed great. There was a free welcome drink. The decor is fantastic - really fun. Breakfast was buffet, but plenty to choose from, and very informal, sitting in the bar. We located by chance a bar upstairs, with a bath full of colourful plastic balls - just an example of the tongue-in-cheek still life everywhere. A good find and close to the Beaux Arts. Also close to good craft beer pubs.

True enough, it was a good 20 minutes' walk out of town, but we knew that, and quite enjoyed walking off our heavy meals. In the hotel I got lost a bit, and couldn't quite work out the lift system. Tried to go visit the gym, but got lost on the way.
