I love the artsy, unique and creative decor of mama shelter! The food is great and if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere on the weekend the dj was really fun. The location is very close to the metro which is also accessible to the main tram station. The room was comfortable and the staff was welcoming and even let us check in a little early!

The ac was a little low/humid and the room could’ve been cleaned a little more as I found some hairs that weren’t ours. I wish the rooftop was still there and the terrace stayed open later, but overall it was a great stay!

The staff was so friendly and every interaction was pleasant. We used the parking onsite and had our dog with us and there were no issues with either. Wifi was fast and free (my husband and I were both on streaming video calls at the same time), they let me grab coffee without purchasing breakfast in the morning, and the air-conditioning was strong and so needed! We really enjoyed grabbing a cocktail at the end of the night in the fun bar as well.

As always with hotels in Europe - the pillows were not my favorite. I struggle to get comfortable with super light and airy pillows but at least there were 4 of them on the bed so I made it work!

This is a dream hotel who wants state of the art technology, my teenagers loved the free on demand hd films, fast internet and fab interior. It was definately worth paying a bit extra. My teenager hurt his knee so was unable to walk so spent the evening in the hotel restaurant bar and restaurant which was great as had a dj and great atmosphere, there was a mix of people so very welcoming. Everyone slept very well and great experience wish all hotels were like this.

The signage could be improved with regards to parking and a message could be sent beforehand explaining how to access and where to park once in there etc. Signage in the car park could be improved as though it is astectically pleasing it is not practical as hard to read. No facilities to make tea or coffee which was the only niggle but otherwise the room was lovely. However i was lucky my bed was next to the lots of windows so had a lot of light.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. They all put in a big effort. They answered all my questions at the front desk as well, as the restaurant was super friendly.

The location is just outside the city, but in 25 minutes' walking distance, you are in one of the city's center points. The garage feels super safe for leaving things in the car, and it is located in the basement, reachable with an elevator from the rooms.

I liked the restaurant and the terrace. The food is good, the breakfast is good also and very diverse. Once you find the parking, there is an easy access to the hotel (from inside). Reception and bar personnel is very nice and helpful. The room AC was very silent. Pillows was plenty to choose from and beds very comfy. 30 min walk from old town, but for me was a nice walk.

Was quite difficult to find the parking entrance. Better to put the link on the automated message sent once one books in a room. I had to go round 3 times and spent several calls with reception as was not clear where was it. I was following the towel rule (to reduce waste), but everyday I had new ones being replaced. This defies the whole purpose of waste reduction. Parking exit pole is very difficult to reach by car to introduce the exit ticket. My room was just above the terrace, was noisy till closure time. Food and drinks are on the expensive range, even if the hotel is not in city center.

The room was quiet and rather good sound proofing. We appreciated the late check-out and comfortable bed, perfect for sleeping after a wedding. The hotel had a fun and relaxed atmosphere (decoration, DJ, table football,...)

Room was slightly too warm and could not be really cooled by adjusting air ventilation. The sink was partially clogged.

The staff were wonderful. The room was very clean. The location was excellent, very close to the Jean Mace metro stop. While the full breakfast was expensive, one could have croissants and coffee very reasonably.

The polyester duvets were a bit hot, and the bar shampoo wasn’t great.

Nice design rooms and cool vibe in the common areas as well know it from other Mama Shelters. Not really in the city centre, but the metro is only a 3-minute walk away so not a real issue. Great breakfast.

Limited fresh fruit options at breakfast.

The staff are amazing! Very helpful, kind and thoughtful, they helped and answered every question with love. The location is very good, so close to metro The hotel is very clean

There were no facilities in the toilet, like shampoo ( a small one will be good)

The quirky and a little hipster vibe of the hotel did not obscure the fact that this is a very well run establishment indeed. The rooms were spotlessly clean and quiet and the staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly. The centre of Lyon was within walking distance for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay we ate once in the hotel and the food was excellent

The drinks were rather expensive.
