This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to stay in such an amazing location. We had four adult family members in each room. Each person had a twin bed, but the twins were pushed together like two queen beds. The room itself was comfortable with everything we needed, but walking along the cobblestone streets of the city at night was absolutely magical! The staff was very helpful and accomodating, and the attached restaurant was convenient after a day exploring the area. Breakfast the next day was also delicious. I hope to be able to come back one day.:)

Nothing. It is an older property, but that didn't detract from our stay.

I booked a room with 4 single beds. The room was comfortable, well located and offered a nice view of the outside. Climbing several flights of stairs to reach the room can be difficult for some, especially the elderly, those with walking difficulties or those with asthma/health issues..

The hotel restaurant is very busy and I feel the staff are under pressure to provide fast service, which means the meals are not up to standard. The prices on the menu compared to the meals served are not justified. If the meals are expensive you expect higher quality.

The room was awesome, not much of a view but it didn't change our happiness with the accommodation. It had everything we were looking for: character of a medieval monastery. Clean, plenty of plugs & phone charges, working refrigerator for keeping water & drinks cold. The diamond shaped windows, large fireplace, wooden floors etc. were charming and housekeeping did a really good job. Though a bit pricey, I would definitely stay there again for the experience.

We had booked a room in the annex so we knew it would be a little walk. However, the walk was straight uphill for at least 10-15 minutes (we were pre-warned) and often had to stop and catch our breath. Granted we are over 70, but it was a tough climb for everyone (except the receptionist who could run up & down in heels! God Bless her). Breakfast was very very good, with a large variety however it was hard to find because the reception office & breakfast room are through a small inconspicuous door between multiple stores & establishments.

The accommodation itself was quite nice, we had a very cute balcony.

Service - My partner and I had ran from the shuttle bus onto Mont Saint Michel as it was absolutely pouring and we didn’t have an umbrella. We were completely drenched by the time we got to reception. A young lady was on the phone for quite some time and didn’t even acknowledge us. Eventually we checked in and she started leading us to our room. When she saw how wet it was outside, she grabbed an umbrella for herself only and then proceeded to lead us. It was still very wet and she walked ridiculously slowly while we trailed behind her continuing to get drenched, and looking incredulously at each other wondering how someone could be so out of touch. The most bizarre experience of our trip!

The island is absolutely streaming with tourists during the day, so it was better to be able to spend a night with fewer people around. The room was lovely, old but well maintained and comfortable - we opted for a bay view which was worthwhile. Ate at the hotel restaurant, which was above average despite being very busy. Unique island, great to see. Watching the tide changing was an amazing sight - it rises by 30m according to local guide. Worth the extra effort and expense to stay on the island.

Many tourists, and the blatantly commercial nature of the main street.

The view from our room was fantastic, we loved it there. facilities were great and included a small fridge, the Mont has a lot of stairs so heaps of exercise lol Nice to have cold water to come back to!

There was nothing. suggestion though, breakfast ends at 1030. The best part about being there overnight is being at the abbey for opening at 0900 when there are no crowds. It needs a good hour and a half to view - if breakfast had gone until 11 (which is checkout time) instead of 1030, we would have been able to have it - as it was we missed it. you can ask for it in the room from 0800 I think so I recommend that.

Our room was so cute with wooden beams and a modern tub/shower combination. It was a tiny room and we had no view but when we walked the ramparts outside we found our room windows which was pretty cool. The hotel is located perfectly near the entrance and the staff was super helpful and friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. Breakfast buffet was pricey and had the typical fair like eggs, cheese, toast, croissant, etc. and again staff was friendly and nice. We realized we took our kids to eat in the restaurant when they were little and we were happy to return and remember that time when they were little.

Le Mont Saint Michel is one of those places where the tourists flock and this hotel is very popular. It's just part of the touristy things to do and we really enjoyed our stay. The ice cream or glace offered in the front of the restaurant was crowded but we enjoyed two boules anyway.

The location was phenomenal! The bathroom seemed recently updated, and the room was quite lovely. The staff was very hospitable, and it was just a short walk from their office to this amazing, historic place. It was nice to be able to walk around in the evening and early morning without the crowds (we were there on a very busy weekend during the D-Day anniversary).

The only challenge was air circulation. Without air conditioning, we opened the window, but there was no screen. Thus, being on the ground level and with a lot of birds about, we had to close the window at night. Even with temperatures in the upper 50sF and low 60sF, it got uncomfortably warm in the room and my daughter and I didn't sleep very well.

The hotel is located far enough from the crowd and yet near enough to the restaurants and gift shops. I am a Catholic and church is important to me. What a pleasant surprise that the hotel is so close to the chapel of St. Michael the Archangel, and that it is open all night.

This comment applies not only to this particular hotel but hotels in Europe in general and it is based on many personal experiences. The main focus is the bathroom, and in particular, the bathtub. For a short person like me, to get into the bathtub requires sitting on the edge, then swinging my legs into the tub. I am 82 and can still manage to do that, but what about the older, less agile guests. Plus, the half partition that does not do the job of preventing water from splashing all over the floor. It is really a puzzle to me that countries like France and Italy, known for great designs in clothes, cars, furniture, etc., cannot come up with a decent, practical bathroom. I love traveling in Europe but when I check into a hotel, I dread seeing what I will be seeing in the bathroom.

An amazing stay in Mont St Michel! Our group, of 4 adults and 3 children, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked two quad rooms, which were in a different building uphill from the reception building. The rooms were clean, updated, and suited our group well. The staff were friendly and able to accommodate our luggage before check in and after check out. For anyone considering visiting Mont St Michel, we would recommend staying at the Auberge Saint Pierre. We are happy we stayed overnight on the island, as the streets emptied in the evening and were easy to explore. I would not recommend visiting Mont St Michel if stairs are an issue (lots and lots of stairs). Amazing experience!!

It is expensive but that should expected for staying on such a tiny unique island.
