The apartment has an elegant 2-level loft layout that provides a lot of space. The facilities (kitchen, laundry, etc) were completely sufficient for our 6-day stay. The attached balcony is perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea or wine. The overall atmosphere was excellent with a nice outdoor garden and tasteful decoration inside. While being fairly close to the city center, transportation and restaurants, the apartment was very quiet. It was also exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Finally, the owner Jean-Luc was one of the nicest, friendliest hosts we've ever met!

Jean-Luc was a wonderful host and even came to meet me from the tram, and introduce me to the apartment. The layout was unusual - split across two floors … but this was perfect for me and gave me a good separation between sleeping and working/breakfasting. The apartment and the neighbourhood was very peaceful … and this part of town was my favourite during my week-long stay in Nice.

A tasteful villa with modern refurbished suites, each including a fully equipped kitchen. Our suite was in a superb condition, very clean and fresh. There is AC and constant (but quiet) air ventilation in the bathroom. We also found very useful that there is a washing machine and the guests' disposal. The villa is surrounded by lush vegetation and there is a nice front yard garden with seating and a table where one can enjoy a meal or relax. The accommodation is close to a tram stop (5 min to the historical centre and the promenade). There is a good boulangerie and a market offering fresh produce and fish 6 days a week in the same area. Bigger grocery stores are a short walk away. Jean-Luc is a helpful and attentive host. He explained everything about the practical matters in the villa and offered suggestions regarding the surrounding area and the city. Communication over email and WhatsApp was always quick and without any problems. It's quite obvious that Jean-Luc is personally invested in that his guests are satisfied with their stay. I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone.

We had the most wonderful time at Villa le Nid, staying in the Rubis duplex apartment. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we were greeted after a delayed flight with a warm welcome and a bottle of wine. The gardens are a lovely place to relax and read a book or enjoy breakfast / a meal outside. Jean Luc and Blandine were in contact in the weeks leading up to our stay with transport, sightseeing and restaurant recommendations which were invaluable. The location is great for exploring Nice and along the coast by public transport. The main train station is a 10 minute walk and the tram stop just 5 minutes. Plenty of lovely restaurants, shops and markets just a short walk away too. We’d recommend a stay here and would love to come back.

The apartment has been very well thought out, with everything you could need for your stay. Nice comfortable bed, ample storage space and plenty kitchen supplies. Honestly, nothing I could really fault. Jean Luc is a very attentive host, welcoming and offered some great suggestions for our trip. He was accommodating and only a message away for any queries. The location is great, under 5 minute walk from the Liberation market (which is filled with fresh fruits, veggies and fish!) and tram stop. Perhaps a 10 minute walk from the large train station which offers regular trains to other towns and cities along the south coast and Italy too. There is a big supermarket just a stones throw away, restaurants and bars nearby too. Our personal favourite was Jean Luc’s recommendation of Zambetti bakery, where we would pick up a baguette and pastries daily. Yum! The shared gardens are beautifully kept and make the perfect spot for breakfast or a little evening drink. We had our own personal terrace too but we opted to use the lower garden space which had loungers, table and chairs and cute fairy lights too!

Stayed there from 9/13/24 - 9/20/24. It’s a beautifully redone building, built originally around 1915 along with the rest of the neighborhood I guess. They have made it into a classy two-level, with a loft (stairs are little steep and narrow, you should be sure-footed with good knees, also for the 50 foot stairs up from the street). Bed is just great, bathroom smallish in European style but very nice/new, hot water works great. Kitchen has everything you need, microwave, nice fridge, designer cook-plate. Tall (8-9ft?) French doors with multi-pane glass out onto little sitting balcony. Views of the hills and neighborhood are massive, really sort of “cliffside”. And manager Jean-Luc is the most fantastic guy, his English is great and super helpful/enthusiastic/friendly, one of those people that restores your faith in the human race. The place is very walkable close to central Nice and train station and various shops (FNAC for your electronic stuff, Monoprix or little local market a half-block up for grocery stuff, and all various other shops to the south/west). The street down below is busy but the suite is well sound-insulated. All in all quite an elegant and romantic getaway spot, highly recommend.

My friend and I travelled to Nice from Canada in August. We absolutely loved our stay at the Villa! Everything was perfect, the beds were comfortable, there was AC in the unit and the rooms were spotless. The best part about the stay was the kindness of the owners, Jean-Luc and Blandine. Prior to our stay, they made sure we had all of the information we needed to enjoy our stay in Nice and surrounding areas, including restaurant and activity recommendations. The location is quiet and far enough from the busier main areas in the city. You are about a 4-5 minute walk from the tram that brings you right to the beautiful Vieux Nice area. If you’re looking to stay somewhere that feels like you’re at home and is safe, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this place. You won’t find a place better than this one!

Our stay at the Villa le Nid exceeded our expectations. Starting from our warm welcome by Jean-Luc, who provided clear instructions/explanations and took the time to show us around the property as well as our room. Communication was very easy throughout the stay. Our room was extremely clean with a perfect layout, it felt just like home. The location was extremely convenient; safe neighborhood, walking distance to the centre, train station, close to all commodities, as well as a 30 mins walk to the Promenade des Anglais. We highly recommend the Villa le Nid, whether it is for a short stay or a longer one, you will feel comfortable and very well taken care of. It will definitely be our go-to place for every visit in Nice.

The location was perfect, offering both convenience and tranquillity. We truly felt pampered throughout our stay. Given how wonderful our experience was, we’ll definitely be returning. The host is friendly, kind and knowledgeable. He explained lots of detail about the apartment and local area including public transport. The apartment is located a 15 minute walk from the centre and 30 minute walk to the beach. A supermarket that supplied everything I needed is a 30 second walk away! Apartment is clean, a comfortable temperature and quiet with a pretty garden. I liked being able to sit outside in the sun.

Television needs an upgrade! I like to settle down late in the evening and watch movies so being able to tune in to Netflix or Amazon prime would have been useful, but I appreciate this is a personal preference. Understandably, the stairs are very steep to get down to the bedroom in the particular apartment I was in. Walking down them requires extra concentration!
