Fantastic location near to three different Metro lines and within the radius of superb restaurants and bars. Staff were very friendly and the hotel web site goes into detail of areas around that you might like to visit. You could walk into central Paris (the Pompidou centre) within ten to fifteen minutes and the Beauchamps Road seemed to have bars with reasonable rates (unlike some of the other arrondisments!). Whilst we were there Rue Amelot was closed for roadworks so the street was pretty quiet (although remarkably busy for a closed road). Easy access from Gare du Nord (Eurostar) down to Richard Lenoir Metro station and then a pretty short walk.

Rooms (and beds) were a little on the small size and basic for clothes' storage (a rack and a small drawer) but sufficient. Included breakfast was continental and very much to formulae- 1 croissant, 1 French bread piece, I apricot cake, 1 Pan au chocolate, 1 orange juice and 1 tea/coffee each morning with jam, honey, cheese spread and chocolate as additions

The hotel is perfectly located, it is a short metro journey from the station when using the Eurostar, on arrival the guy behind reception was super friendly, very lovely. Rooms are clean, cleaners came in during our stay too, which was only 2 nights, rooms are a little tired but it's an old building, but perfectly adequate. Vending machine downstairs is handy for water. The hotel is very convenient for travelling around the city. The nearest metro was Chemin Vert, but we liked a little stroll, so used Bastille, which was great to jump on the metro to anywhere you need to go.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The building is older and has a lot of charm. The room was large with comfortable beds and a nice view from the window balcony. Staff were very friendly and professional and cleaned our room daily. The location was exceptional! We loved being in a more quiet part of the Les Marais neighborhood but still with such close walking distance to lots of cafes, restaurants, and attractions.

The room was comfortable, though a shelf in the shower for toiletries would have been nice. The breakfast was just okay. Every day, it consisted of a basket of bread and pastries and a small plain yogurt, plus juice and coffee/tea. My sister is gluten-free and, as such, was unfortunately unable to eat much of it. But hey, I guess that's what sometimes happens when traveling in France as a gluten-free gal. I, however, enjoyed the croissants and pastries. :)

Good location, close to a few transport stops, plus eateries. Friendly staff, always welcoming. Good breakfast service of pastries, yoghurt and coffee. Room was spacious though just a double bed. Shower was okay but pressure was quite light. Would've been great to have had facilities to make tea/coffee. Great to have a lift too. Overall, great stay.

We stayed two nights at Grand Hôtel Amelot and found it to be a charming, slightly old-fashioned hotel with a good price-quality ratio. The location is excellent — convenient for both the 4th and 11th arrondissements. The beds were a bit firm for my taste, but still comfortable overall. Our first night was very noisy due to renovation work in a neighboring apartment, but the staff was extremely helpful and promptly moved us to a quieter room on a lower floor, where we slept well. We didn’t book breakfast, as there are plenty of lovely bakeries and cafés nearby for a true French breakfast experience. The bathrooms are small but seemed recently renovated and were very clean. All in all, a cozy and well-located hotel — a bit noisy, but fair for the price.

Great location, within walking distance from Place de la Bastille. There are good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Different metro lines are available around the hotel. I also appreciate that I was able to check-out late (at a reasonable extra charge).

Everything was great. Just to note that breakfast was not available on the Sunday I was there (not sure if it is for every Sunday or just the day that I was staying there). The hotel refunded the cost of breakfast and there was a café around the corner, so it was no big deal. I was made aware of this at check-in but it would have been good to know this in advance so that I could have planned accordingly before arrival. Having said that, I'd definitely stay here again.

The staff are the friendliest, kindest and most helpful I've met at any hotel. I was stranded when my Eurostar was cancelled and they moved heaven and earth to find me a room at the hotel for an extra night, after trying to get me one at several others. Nothing was too much trouble and they made me feel so calm and looked after when I was panicking I'd be sleeping on the floor at Gare Du Nord, and in a heatwave too. The hotel is clean, quiet, cosy and comfortable, and the location can't be beaten. It's a fantastic price for one of the most desirable areas in the city, with everything you need round the corner as well as the Marais two minutes away. I'll definitely be staying here every time I need a hotel in Paris from now on – it's like a home from home.

No complaints at all

The room was an exceptional value for four people, which is hard to find in Paris at such a reasonable price. The room was as described and pictured: it had air conditioning, the beds were comfortable, the location was very near two subway stations and a bakery, and to make it even better, it is not located on an extremely busy street, which meant the room was quiet! The decor was cute, and the room was clean. It is hard to find a closer location to all the main sites! We could have walked to Notre Dam and the Louvre in 25 minutes or so. They also allowed us to check in a little early. I highly recommend Grand Hotel Amelot and would 100% stay there again!
