This was my second stay in this hotel. Very convenient location, friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast. This time the room was pretty spacious and on the building with elevator.

Humidity during rainy days

Unique and interesting reception/salon area with books on a variety of subjects - art, history, Paris. Also literature. I enjoyed browsing and borrowing books on rainy afternoons. Very comfortable and welcoming. The house was well decorated with attractive striped awnings and flowers on a quiet street. My room was small and very adequate. All towels and linens were changed regularly and I appreciated having a safe and a small fridge. All as described. Good lighting too. TV etc.

Nothing I disliked about the property. Next time I would like a bathroom equipped with a bath. After sightseeing all day a bath is more relaxing for tired muscles! I understand this would be a twin/double room and more expensive. That’s ok.

We realized upon arrival that we actually stayed at this exact same hotel for 1 night over 10 years ago. So we knew the location was very good - close to the Marais and Bastille areas with lots of restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable enough and quiet even as it's on a smaller street and there are no loud places nearby. The staff were friendly and there is a nice lobby lounge area. There was a kettle to make tea and coffee and a small closet to hang clothing plus a few shelves.

Upon entering the room it smelled a little musty and we needed to open the window. In the bathroom there was mold along the shower grout that really needs to be cleaned. The Superior room is still small with only one chair. And the safe was too small for a laptop and the WiFi not very fast. So in my opinion it felt expensive especially without breakfast included.

The hotel was situated in a side street and about a 10 minute walk from the Bastille where I found a nice a nice bar. On the same street and in the opposite direction was a large Carrefour supermarket. The hotel was close to the Metro. The man in the reception when I checked in was very helpful. The room had a high ceiling and was large enough for me. Didn't feel claustrophobic. I appreciated the kettle in the room. The bathroom with toilet and shower was modern. I could not hear anyone in the adjoining rooms, coridor or the lift being used even though I was close by.

The hard mattress on the bed and the pillow made it difficult to get to sleep quickly.

Simple, no-nonsense hotel, comfortable rooms, quiet area, walking distance to Gare de Lyon, Seine promenade, metro. Plenty of lovely coffee shops, bakeries, brunch spots in the area. Friendly staff, reasonable prices.

My only complaint is how much cleaning agent they use: when you enter your room it SMELLS of fake lemon. Every time. I usually try to check in not too late, open the window, and leave for a couple of hours. Ironically, cleanliness is not ideal: someone’s hair all over the bathroom door.

Fantastic location. It’s near the Marais, then in 20+ minutes you’re across the river and the Isle de Louis and in the Latin Quarter. It’s parallel to a major road leading to the Place de la Bastille yet it’s quieter (except on Friday and Saturday nights). The staff were simply LOVELY. We felt very welcome. Clean, spacious (by Paris standards) room and bathroom with a little bar fridge, which was very handy (for cheese and cold drinks). Lots of natural light. The window faced the stairs leading up to the main road, and we spent a good half hour watching a huge demonstration go by, floats and chants and all.

The windows facing the road most definitely need much better soundproofing. It was noisy— I mean you could hear conversations from the street, not to mention people yelling or loud vehicles or ambulances. On Friday and Saturday, the noise was pretty bad and I awoke to someone yelling something on the street outside. Bring earplugs.

Staff was always kind and willing to help, the bed and the pillows were SUPER comfy and smelled really good (which is rare these days), the shower was great too!

The room and bathroom could have more hooks, which would help hanging bags, towels, clothes, hats, etc... Complementary Nescafe and Tea Bags in the room could be replenished on a daily basis, and shower box grouts could be cleaner.

See below re breakfast. Staff all wonderful. Location great and so quiet yet so central. A very pleasant hotel, would definitely recommend.

Breakfast (for me) disappointing. Would have liked fresh baguette 🥖, not mediocre rolls. The light cake was very tasty. Would also have like a selection of juices - cranberry, grapefruit for example. Realise unavoidable but the breakfast room itself was way too small for the number of guests. Had no aircon as had to switch it off. Clicking noise from one of the vents was unbearable at night. It was SO hot.

Room was not too big as expected in a big city, but also not too small, very clean, everything worked, bed was comfy, staff was very friendly and supportive, atmosphere was relaxed, location is perfect between several main metro lines, good restaurants nearby, nice area for an evening stroll after sightseeing

only issue is that nowadays a breakfast buffet should have alternative milk options (like soy or oat)

The room was clean. It was small but had everything I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful and available.

I booked through booking.com because you offered a refundable option - even though it cost $400 more. When I added one night you immediately charged my credit card the full amount. When I inquired I was told that modifying the reservation negated the refundable option - which makes no sense that adding one night would negate the refundable option for the other nine - and I was not informed when I added the night. Booking.com told me it was the hotel. But at the hotel I spoke to them about it and they told me it was Booking.com that charged mat credit card - not the hotel.
