the hotel is in a great location, two metro stations just around the corner. the hotel is down a side street so very little noise but the main street is full of shops and Caffes. hotel is very clean quirky interior lovely communal area for gathering, even a supply of board games.

the rooms are rather small and quite basic beds are small there is no min fridge rules on no eating in the room the room was always hot at night even without the heating on the lift is tiny

Very interesting interior, if you're into comic art, this is a must visit. I just love spending time here, it's a hidden gem for "BD"-lovers. Staff is extremely welcoming and pleasant, breakfast is just right to start the day. 12 minutes from Gare de l'Est (good money exchange right in front of it), Metro just around the corner, restaurants too, but if you stroll south down the Bd de Sébastopol, you reach the shopping zone, the Seine and all those superb views within half an hour. I'm sure to come back. Bear in mind this is an old hotel, modernised and fantastically redesigned, but still the elevator has the size of making two users into lovers by the time they get out again and some bathrooms remind you of the times you didn't think abbout losing weight...

Location - very convenient and near to many of the tourist attractions. There is a supermarket and self service laundrette about 200 metres away. Room is generally very clean and sufficient for use and I have 2 large suitcase Breakfast was buffet style and the coffee machine was good. Shower water pressure is strong and had the rain shower head which my wife likes. The decoration of the hotel was done by the owner himself and it is social media worthy.

If the room had a hot water kettle will even be better. However you can still take hot water from the lobby and its free.

Excellent location near the Marais on a quiet street. Fantastic decor throughout the hotel and a very friendly staff who could speak English well. Extremely great value for the quality of the hotel. I will definitely come back next time with my kids as they will love all the decorations in the hotel.

I'm picky about pillows, so mine wasn't the most comfortable, but it didn't stop me from sleeping in until 9am which never happens at home with my three kids! The bed itself was very comfortable. My husband said his pillow was fine.

Loved the location and the eclectic decor. One of the most friendly and welcoming hotels I’ve stayed at. Metro and bars and restaurants on the doorstep Our room was warm comfortable and immaculately clean. Lovely breakfast each morning to set us up for sightseeing. And even a hotel dog some days to greet us :) Would not stay anywhere else in Paris to be honest. A wonderful experience.

Not one thing we disliked

The location was perfect . It was easy to reach all the activities I had booked through the gocity pass .We used the reamur sebastopol metro stop some days( for connection to Versailles and C.D.G. and Montmartre and St Germain does pres ) but because we were only a 10/15 minute straight from Notre Dame , west to the The Grevin Museum and easy to the Canal StMarten we walked . I asked ahead and the hotel very kindly allocated a 1st floor room which was ideal as steps are not my friend these days! There is a lift so it would not have been a problem but the room was perfect in every way , clean comfortable bed , great shower , good storage , t.v. access to a secure flat rear area via patio door if fresh air wanted .The room was air conditioned and a delight to return to after the heat and noise some days . The decor was brilliant , we had Picasso prints on the wall and a huge round mirror and purple walls . The lighting was great- bedside lamps dimmer main and plenty of plug sockets plus digital safe so no worries on storing passport or cards . Madame Pervanche is just across the street and recommended . I booked a table first night and enjoyed the mixed plat and the pint and croque Monsieur was a good deal and the I P.A is good if you don't mind paying a bit extra . Minus 3 euros on card price of some drinks till 9 there . Most bars around there have happy hour till 9 and cocktails can then be as low as 7 or 6 euros .

Everything about the hotel was great. The metro station was very close, within walking distance. We were able to easily access every place on our travel plan. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Although we arrived before check-in time, we were able to leave our luggage in the lobby and start our trip. Breakfast was quite sufficient. Our room was a bit small but sufficient and cute. The price was also more affordable than nearby hotels. It is a hotel that I would definitely recommend to tourists coming to Paris.

Great location close to the metro and the centre of the city. Friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early to ask if they could hold our bags, but they checked us in immediately. They also kept our bags after checkout so we could enjoy the morning in the city before catching our train.

The decor is certainly quirky and won't be to everyone's taste. I didn't mind it in the lobby, but it could be toned down a bit in the bedroom to make the atmosphere more restful. It's true that the walls are thin, so if your neighbours are watching TV you will hear it.

Everything was truly excellent. I don’t even know where to start – I can’t imagine a better location: metro stations just a minute’s walk away, plenty of restaurants, and a quiet neighborhood.! We were two women and felt completely safe walking around in the evenings. The team was amazing – welcoming and very kind. The hotel offers all kinds of amenities, and anything we needed during our stay was promptly provided. They were very polite and responsive. Our fairly spacious room was cleaned every day. I’ll definitely recommend it to all my friends.

Don’t be put off by the two stars—it’s a solid three-star experience by European standards. Maybe they don’t meet the formal requirements for three stars, such as the width of the hall, but who cares? The bathroom was very neat and relatively new. The view of the cathedral and the streets full of locals from the balcony is exactly what everyone is looking for when coming to Paris, I think. My 10-year-old son and I stayed in room 38 on the 5th floor with a balcony, and we both loved it. At 8 PM, someone plays the piano on the ground floor—the vibe could hardly be more Parisian 😊. The area is great, with lots of cozy streets and nice shopping. The staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend it, and I will come back myself.
