The room for 3 people was spacious and very quiet, both room and bathroom were very clean. We also appreciated the shelf space tucked out of the way to put suitcases and hang clothes. The location was superb and the staff charming, always ready to help and very accommodating of any request. We were able to leave our luggage for the day on the last day of our stay which allowed us to enjoy Paris till the last minute. Would highly recommend.

Nothing at this price.

Wonderful clean room in a quiet street near Gare du Nord, surrounded by nice bakeries. The staff were lovely and let me leave my bags (in the baggage room) and passport (in a locked drawer at the front desk) after I'd checked out. There is no kettle in the room but they kindly gave me hot water to make tea in my room. The room has everything you need and is amazing value for the area.

Bathroom was a combined shower/sink with separate toilet, and the shower water leaked under the door slightly - easily remedied with a rolled up towel against the door.

The location is superb if you're arriving in Paris via the Gare du Nord train station. Some say the area is a bit shady, but the hotel is located on a main street and is only a five-minute walk from the station. I never felt unsafe walking around at night. The building and furniture in the room aren't new, but I actually liked the vintage vibe. It reminded me of hotel scenes from mid-1900s mystery novels. It’s not particularly fancy or spacious, but for the price I paid, I’m very pleased. (Tip: If you're thinking of leaving your luggage in the lockers at the train station, I’d recommend leaving it at the hotel instead. Even though it was off-peak season, the line for the lockers at the station was more than 30 minutes long in the morning.)

The shower was small, and it was impossible not to splash water outside, but they provided two bathmats probably for this reason. The hotel didn’t have a hair dryer, and the amenities were quite minimal.

It was convenient for us to be very close to the Gare du Nord. The room was small but comfortable with lots of shelving and wardrobe space. The small bathroom was newly renovated and very clean. Good continental breakfast plus cereal and yoghurt for 10euro. We needed a fan in our room as it was too noisy at night with the balcony doors open, and management was very obliging. Double glazing was very efficient. For Paris this small hotel was very good.

The Gare du Nord area has some undesirable areas so we had to take care where we went.

Short walk from Gard du Nord and close to Metro and buses into city centre. 2 star hotel so basic but comfortable bed and the room had everything I required for overnight stay. The fan came in handy as it was very hot in Paris. Luggage storage area and friendly staff. Very happy overall.

Great location a couple of minutes walk from the Gare Du Nord. The street is being upgraded so there will be more plants etc. soon. The room was just big enough for two and perfect one. As a ** the facilities were basic, so no hairdryer of kettle, but it was clean and tidy. The room was serviced each day. Early check in at 12:00 and late check out at 11:00 were also useful.

Nit picking really, but a coat hook would have been useful rather than putting a damp coat into a wardrobe. Ended up placing it over the WC door edge.

The closeness to Gare de Nord and the price of the hotel

That there were no tea making facilities in the room! Most hotels have at least a jug and cups but we had to keep asking for hot water as we had our own special tea bags. It was a bit of a problem with the staff at the desk understanding what we wanted. If we asked for a cup of tea, we were asked if we had any cups, which we didn’t as we had just come off a plane! There does need to be improvement in this area. In 2018 we stayed at the Avalon Hotel just up the road where they did supply tea making facilities. I also think they need a door on the shower, as the water tends to go all over the floor.

For what they charged us, the Maison du Pre is an excellent value. The room was not large but very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is very nice and there is an excellent little restaurant called L'Orange Verte just a few doors away. It is close to Gare du Nord and Metro so we did not need a car or even a taxi the whole time we were in Paris. We like to take walks and visited Sacre Coeur and the fashion district (among other places} on foot. Tres bien!!

I had a craving for a whiskey but the bar only serves wine and beer. Not a big problem,,,

Staff wonderful. Room comfy, clean and warm, although basic (as expected for such a good price). Breakfast brill. Nice baguettes, cheeses, meats, and more options.croissants were nice, juice and coffee etc were good. Filled us up very Nicely. No complaints!

Only complaint was that the lift worked fine but was a little old and slow, and the shower wasn’t easy to use and didnt stay at the right temperature. The bathroom and room and service otherwise was totally fine. Would go again 😊

We loved this hotel! Our room was perfect, very comfortable and warm, with a great view and the best bathroom. The two men that we dealt with at the reception were both lovely and the whole atmosphere was so welcoming and homely. The location of course excellent too, just 2 minutes to the train station and with so many great things to do and see and shop around. This is definitely where we’ll book again next time we’re in Paris.
