We wanted a hotel that was close to the Gare de Lyon but not on *top* of the Gare de Lyon, and the Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon was the perfect location. We arrived in Paris at 10AM and appreciated being able to leave our bags at the hotel while we did some sight-seeing and got lunch before check-in. Room was quite quiet and comfortable.

We showed up around 2:30PM to check into our room, and even though check-in officially started at 2:00PM, we still had to wait about 30 minutes until it was ready. The hotel was quite busy though, so I am not too surprised — and the lobby was a fine place to wait.

The room was large for Paris, with one of those "iconic" views of mansard-roof buildings. The decor was charming. Location was just 5 minutes from the train station. The neighborhood had its share of Massage Spas and adult shops, but it did not feel seedy nor unsafe.

The room's decor was attractive, but showing some wear-and-tear in the bathroom, with pealing wallpaper. But everything worked and was clean. There was some noise from adjacent rooms (plumbing, heavy footsteps) but acceptable for being in what's likely a 100+ year old building.

The hotel, its facilities and our room were all very comfortable, spacious and well appointed and the bed especially was very comfortable. The location was perfect in terms of access to the train and transport from the airport. We selected a room with a sweetheart balcony which opened up to views of the city, which were lovely. The hotel was also an easy walking distance to the very beautiful Fifth Arrondissement.

Nothing to fault. We loved it all especially the wonderful refurbished French modern style of the room.

The hotel was very quiet despite being two blocks from the Gare de Lyon. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the amenities were good, and the free drink was much appreciated. The bathroom was a decent size for a Parisian hotel and there was a real wall/door between the room and the bathroom - a rarity now adays but a must for a family with children.

There was some water damage in the bathroom under the window so some parts of the hotel could use updating. The hotel name also makes it nearly impossible to google. Without the address, I would have ended up at the wrong Mercure Gare De Lyon hotel

A comfortable hotel, with a good breakfast at a reasonable price and a broad choice of "non industrial" foods (20€). Rooms are not large (normal central Paris) but clean and quiet if your room is not on the street. Comfortable bed, room is sober and the batheroom was normally equipped. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. R

Nice clean room. Location was great. Train station, supermarket, restaurant, everything was around the hotel. Breakfast was amazing. Delicious pastries, breads, hot bacon, sausages, beans. Staff were very helpful.

It was very noisy outside. It would be nice to have a little fridge and if I can change French to English on TV.

Thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay. here. Pleasant, helpful and friendly staff happy to help with restaurant recommendations. Bedroom made up and bathroom cleaned to very high standard every day. Hotel in good location near the Gare de Lyon train station with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from near by. A big bonus is that it is situated on a quiet street, which ensured a good night's sleep. Definitely ticks all the boxes for a short break and would happily return.

Room and bathroom were a tad on the small side, but hey this is Paris after all so no complaints.

Good breakfast offered but expensive. Rooms were compact but had all required conveniences and a beautiful bathroom. Excellent location close to Gare de Lyon train station, restaurants and reasonably close to the sights of Paris. Staff were welcoming and prompt and supportive with a minor issue we had.

Room size for 3 persons was very compact but we managed as only stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast price is too high.

The manager managed to get a room available early for us as we were very early. It was so appreciated. We felt very valued. The styling, colors, and design of the hotel was so beautiful and interesting. The bed and pillows were great. A perfect place.

It would be easier on you and the guest to incorporate the city taxes and fees into the overall bill when booking. Saves time. A little thing, the bathroom faucet when replaced in the future could use an airator to better conserve water.
