The location is excellent. The Amphitheatre is a couple of blocks away and the centre of town a short walk away. I liked the location right on Place Voltaire. The balcony allowed me to people watch as I sipped my wine. The hotel is a short walk from the train station.

There is no front desk. Access to the hotel is via a pass code entered in a box on a wall. I saw no staff during my stay.

Good location. Easy walk from train station and centre of town. Balcony with afternoon sun overlooking the very buzzy square is a real bonus. It's great for relaxing/people-watching. (Probably not the best location if you're a light sleeper). Other visitors have mentioned the lighting on the staircase, on initial entry it does seem really dark, then seems to become lighter as you ascend each flight of stairs. Quite an industrial vibe, but I think it could be more welcoming for guests to have brighter/warmer lighting on initial entry. No A/C but a tall electric fan was provided in addition to the ceiling fan and keeping this on at a low level during the night was sufficient for a good sleep on a very hot July night. Comfortable bed and a great shower.

Weird lighting situation on staircases isn't welcoming and the signage to the staircase doors could be improved.

Very friendly welcome from the cafe opposite where we stored our luggage before check in (and which we visited many times for drinks during our stay). The host was lovely and answered all our queries. Room had a great balcony overlooking a lively but safe square. Decor of room was vintage, simple, uncluttered and very tasteful. No TV but a kettle which is handy. As is the fan. Should noise be a problem, then be aware that the square has lots of restaurants in it. Not an issue to us as we enjoyed watching it all from our balcony!

To be honest, a mini fridge to keep water cold, if nothing else, would have been handy, in 30 degree heat.

It’s in a nice location a short walk from the rail station, the Voltaire is surrounded by lots cafes and restaurants. Their recommendation for a place to have breakfast was terrific. Being close to everything it was easy to head back to my room for a rest during the day.

Very very clean! Very clear directions how to get into the hotel and my room ( no front desk of staff present) . Cute location, cute room. Important if you care: no elevator, no TV. I had a wonderful mini balcony with a cafe table and chairs! Looked out in Place de Voltaire. Restaurant underneath is fantastic.

The hotel is lovely and clean and although there were no staff around, check in / out was easy. The location is ideal and the balcony’s are an added bonus. Breakfast suggested at the next door cafe was a bit chaotic but food was lovely.

Shower / toilet combo got water everywhere!

-Super location! Near everything and with a wonderfull view of the square. -Super comfy bed. -Nice styling of the room

-No fridge in the room -3rd floor without elevator -No place in the bathroom nor much in the bedroom to put your things, so that made it a little uncomfortable. -The hotel bar/restaurant was closed, so we had to ask at the bar in front of the hotel, to put some things in the fridge. -It might be loud during the summer time, as the room is right over an important square.

Nice balcony overlooking square, we got pizza from la mamma’s nearby and watched the world go by

Check in was 4pm. Rained most of the day and would have been better to check in at 2

clean tidy great location. downside was very hot fans were very poor if it had air con it would be brilliant

I loved the view out of the window. Nice heat, lovely tea, comfy bed.

Could hear toilet flushing, shower emptying, plugs going into sockets in other rooms. Ear plugs were supplied!
