Grand building close to the Railway station and Tram with many restaurants and shops close by. Tourist information and Le Petit train directly across the street. I think it is better to stay in this area as it is only 20 minutes walk to all the attractions in Tours but when going out in the evening there is a lot of places to eat and drink nearby. Street parking usually available but the underground car park is 100 yards away and is excellent. If leaving your car more than a day talk to the car park staff who have an office next to the exit and they will give you a best rate ticket. Room was large and comfortable and quiet. Staff were very helpful and all spoke English. We asked about a non slip bath mat and they went out and bought one for us!

There is a lovely French quirkiness about the hotel and the room which we think is great but do not expect Premier Inn boring rooms. No air conditioning but not sure required as big rooms with shutters?

The hotel is right near the train station so very easy to access. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to get to the "old" section, but the convenience to the train made up for that. The breakfast is simple (bread, cereals, meat, cheese and yogurt), but good. The bread was the best we had during our week in France. The gentleman who checked us in and helped us during our stay (and the other two women) were wonderful. There was a warm spell and the room was hot and he made sure to get us a fan. They were very accommodating with storing our luggage and carrying the heaviset bag up the stairs for us too.

There isn't an elevator. This wasn't an issue for us since we were on the first floor and the gentleman carried our heaviest bag up for us, but could be an issue for some. There isn't any AC so it can get pretty hot.

I traveled by train and the hotel is just 2 minutes from the train station and the tram line. Yet it's in a quiet neighborhood. The city center is within walking distance as well. The hotel is small but very nice. It is clean and the staff is amicable (it was raining a lot and I did not have an umbrella, so they let me borrow one. It's a small thing but highly appreciated). And the value for the money is probably one of the best in the city.

If you prefer to be closer to the city center, this hotel may not be your first choice. Yet, the city of Tours is relatively small, well deserved by buses and tramways and you can get from the hotel to the main landmarks.

I have been working in the hospitality world for over 20 years and this was one of the best welcomes ever. Why? Simple, we were welcomed and greeted with a smile. Unlike other establishments, the person never made us feel burdened by our "non" French accent. The historic building is located in a strategic position, the center is easily reachable on foot, and there is the possibility of parking on the street. A stop in the garden is mandatory, to relax and better appreciate the hotel. What can I say? thank you.

We returned after 2 weeks to collect our car, which had broken down in Tours. The very friendly and helpful receptionist, Giovanni, had organised the repair. He had also upgraded our room, which now had coffee and teak making facilities! Room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We will definitely stay here again. And great thank you to Gio!

Rooms facing the street are a bit noisy, but we still had good night sleep. Rough Guide recommends rooms overlooking the garden, so we'll try that next time.

The staff at reception (Giovani) was extremely helpful. He speaks fluent French, Spanish and English and helped us to find a 'mobile mechanic' for our car. Location of Hotel is on busy road around the corner from the station, but noise level was less then expected. The city centre and cathedral are about 10 minutes walk. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent. We will certainly return.

Excellent location near the train station and within walking distance to the old city and shopping. Excellent windows that keep out the noise from the street. Quaint garden on the other side of the building.

Fabulous little hotel super close to the train station. Giovani at reception couldn't have been more helpful - a delight. Spacious airy room ... super comfy beds ... spotlessly clean. Easy walk to historic centre. Easy walk to trams. Loved this hotel 💜

There is no lift ... we were on the 2nd floor ... Giovani helped us with our bags which was wonderful. BUT this is not a complaint .... the property is an old manor home - the room size, the little period features more than make up for the little inconvenience of no elevator

The man who was behind a desk in reception ( who I didn’t get his name to my embarrassment) was exceptional Perfect English and a very knowledgeable and friendly person. His recommendations where perfect The hotel was characterful and a great location with a large car park across the road

Clean& tidy, welcoming staff. Perfectly situated for a short walk into the main town.

Lighting not very good on stairs which made it tricky as there was no natural light due to no windows & winding staircase. This wouldn’t stop us staying there again though.
