It was very near things which is one of our favourite things, apart from being a long way away. We don’t like being reasonably near as it doesn’t really mean much and makes it difficult to think with any clarity or keep from bickering about money. Just across the road from the hotel is the hotel de ville which I’m told was designed by the famous Spanish architect Jose Flamingo who converted into a town hall and leisure centre for the disabled and people with ADHP. On the corner there is a restaurant which sells spaghetti bolognaise and toast, and along the road is a shopping centre which sells things from coats to pieces of nice cake. Will be staying at this hotel again but for more days and night next time so that we get a chance to visit the station and church.

The hotel is located right in the centre of Tours and on the primary high street, so you could not get a better location. When we arrived we couldn’t have received a better reception. All the staff were very attentive, polite and personable at all times. We drove so we booked a parking space. The parking is not big as you would expect from a city centre hotel but it is a great advantage if you come by car. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was extremely good and the service was exceptional. The hotel interior is very ornate with a large atrium area and very comfortable seating also have a nice intimate bar area. We didn’t use the other hotel facilities, however, the looked to be good for a city hotel. Our hotel room was very spacious and comfortable.

Room was very spacious and the beds comfortable. Bathroom facilities were impeccable, especially the shower. Pool and sauna were amazing, we spent most evenings in there. Ideal location, close to train station and in the centre of town. The whole town is easy to navigate in general. Great selection of breakfast choices, mostly continental, but there is cooked food buffet style available.

Not much negativity, the only thing for the rooms would be the TV, outdated (not a smart TV, couldn't connect to anything) and pretty small for the room sizes, we checked other rooms too, and it was the same throughout. The hot tub wasn't great, warm temperature and was constantly switching itself off, not sure if this was intended or not, but definitely not something I was expecting. Not the hotel itself, but travelling by bus, you'll need the app or get a day ticket to travel these services. Honestly France is so far behind in travelling, no idea why they dont make everything contactless would be so much easier to travel like London/UK

The location, right in the heart of the city is great, lots to see and do within walking distance. The room was very comfortable indeed, lovely bathroom and a sitting area with coffee machine. The lounge areas are very grandly decorated but not over the top, it certainly gives it atmosphere. The pool is more of a plunge pool, not for swimmers but we saw lots of children and adults having fun in there. The car park is handy and easy to navigate. It is essential to book your place for your stay.

The hotel was very well located and the bed was very comfy and the room was clean. The hotel is a little dated and the elevator could use a service - there is a bump at the end of each ride that makes you feel as though you might plummet at any minute! The staff were very friendly, the parking was secure and easy to find and I would still recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable place that is well located and central.

The hotel could use a little refresh although the rooms were perfectly comfortable and the spa area very modern.

Very Spacious room. Separate toilet. Window overlooking the plane treed street was double glazed and therefore very quiet. Swimming pool just lovely. Spa was small and really only suitable for a couple but as we were the only people at the spa it was perfect. Bar room for a pre dinner drink was really interesting great ambiance. Staff very friendly. Close to the station for ease of walking with cases.

Can’t think of anything. In fact just trying to book for 5 nights for next year.

On entering the hotel you immediately get the ambience of the place, very warm and inviting also the decoration was in keeping with the building. The staff were very polite and helpful and alway willing to help. The pool and spa was a lovely extra especially when it’s raining.

Thought the breakfast was a bit pricey at €22. Although a great variety to choose from in my opinion I would find it hard to eat €22 worth, maybe an option of half price with a fewer selection. Just a bit disappointed about the quilt which had a very big stain which I only found when I was stripping the bed on morning of leaving.

Room had toilet separated from bathroom. The toilet area had a sink but no towel rack or soap. No mini fridge in room either which is almost vital when you have a baby (for milk and baby food). Great coffee machine but no kettle (again would’ve been useful with baby for sterilising/cleaning, etc). Impossible to order room service at 8.30pm even though it closed at 9pm.

Toilet totally separate from the bathroom (across entrance hall) with its own wash basin but no towel or soap. No soap in bathroom either and do had to use shower gel in shower. Staff at breakfast did not man the entrance desk and although at least 3 on duty all were in the kitchen for over 5 minutes so we ended up just sitting at a table and helping ourselves.

Almost everything

The only annoying part of this stay was the hotel insisting on payment in advance! We were on a-road trip and this was the only hotel that required this, but silly because then on checking out had to pay a small invoice for tourist tax and parking. Surely easier to just do everything in one transaction. This process made using this hotel more time consuming, not what I expected.
