The top floor room 402 had character and big windows, and it was relatively spacious. The breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful. We had a great stay here and the beds were very comfortable.

402 has restricted headspace and had beams across the ceiling and floors, which could have been seen as troublesome / dangerous. It could also be seen as a bad layout for a superior room. The elevator was slow.

The hotel staff were welcoming and attentive, and the room was comfortable and well-maintained. Great breakfast! The standout feature for me was the convenience of the provided parking. It made my trip hassle-free and added a lot of value to my stay. The central location of the hotel was also a plus, making it easy to explore the city on foot.

The only drawback during my stay was the noise from the street, particularly on Monday morning at 6 am when the trash was being emptied. This was a bit disruptive to my sleep, and it was the primary reason I couldn't give the hotel a full 5-star rating. However, I understand that this is likely beyond the hotel's control, and it didn't overshadow the otherwise positive experience.

We stayed in Hotel Merkur for 2 nights & enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast excellent. The location is very good and close to restaurants and the centre. We particularly liked being able to park right outside the hotel, although the parking is not free. We recommend the hotel & would stay again.

The air conditioning could be improved.

Their service, cleanliness and location and breakfast and even parking were all very very good and excellent. Great value for money.

The soundproofing was not amazing amongst rooms. We knew a lot about what the other rooms were up to - also we booked a King bed but the two singles slid apart very easily so really it was a twin room and smaller than photos but we still had a lovely time!

Location was great, breakfast was included and very good, buffet style with eggs, sausage, cheeses and breads. staff were friendly and helpful.Location is a short walk to many attractions and shops. The room was a good size, the bath room was larger than most hotels.

Of course, being an older builder, there was no central air. There were portable units in the rooms that you put the air hose out the window to bring in cooled air. There are no screens on the windows, but it's really not a problem, since I had no issues with bugs flying in. Also, the pictures on the hotel website are a bit deceiving. There is no restaurant, bar or spa at the hotel. The breakfast is served in a room off the lobby. I believe the hotel owns a restaurant in the main downtown area of Baden-Baden, but it is not in the hotel. Towels needed replacing, they were rough and appeared past their useful life.

This has got to be the most centrally located hotel in Baden Baden...which can often translate into traffic and parking problems. We drove there this time and were delighted to discover how easy it was reach the hotel and park our car. We were parked, checked in and relaxing in our room within minutes...not always the case in Baden Baden. Our entire experience at the Merkur was exquisite.

The room was huge - a junior suite - with lovely décor and facilities such as Nespresso machine as well as a kettle and a large bluetooth speaker, free mineral water, 2 large tvs and minibar. Breakfast was good. Location excellent - right in the centre of everything.

No lift so had to carry up 3 floors very large bags. But the room was worth the effort. Parking was full so had to use the public car park - only 200m away and about the same price.

The brekfast was delicious,assortment of everything even a cooked brekfast for my husband the cakes & sweet treats were lovely the staff were very attentive

The only down fall for us the restarant was not running for evening meals

Small room, but ok for a short stay. Small breakfast room, we were lucky to get the last table then there was a short queue.

Our room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally nice, efficient and welcoming. The hotel location is very convenient - less than a minute to walk to the centre of Baden-Baden. Breakfast was very good and the dining room is lovely.
