easy to get around by foot, public transport, or taxi. shops, pharmacies, and cafes just nearby. the area felt quiet and safe, which made the stay very comfortable. the hotel itself was peaceful and calm. thanks to the entire staff from the reception team to the housekeeping crew, everyone was kind and everything was always clean. i even got a present from the hotel, which was really sweet. the room was spacious, especially for berlin standards, and neat. good wifi. also really appreciated having an iron and ironing board in the room. had no issues leaving my luggage after checkout and picking it up later which was very convenient

* very good location: a three-minute walk to a U2 Spittelmarkt station and a bus stop (200 and 248), a six-minute walk to a Lidl supermarket, a short walk to Museum Island and Friedrichstraße, the area around the hotel is very quiet; * big comfortable room; * comfortable bathroom with a heated towel rail; * good breakfast at a convenient time: from 6:30 till 10:30am on weekdays and from 7 till 11 at the weekend; * on-site restaurant in case you don't feel like dining out; I recommend trying Dessert No. 4, it's really delicious!

* no soap bar, only liquid; * when I arrived, the rubbish bin in the bathroom was not emptied after the previous guest.

When we arrived at 11am after a very very early flight and little sleep, we were delighted that (by good luck) our room was available as we were desperate for a couple of hours sleep. The hotel staff especially the restaurant staff & the Saturday reception staff were very good and helpful. The restaurant menu was a little limited but my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals there. The hotel is also in an excellent location if you want to west/north to attractions like Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate or to the east to for example Alexanderplatz.

We had booked through Booking.com for 3 adults and one child (aged 14). When we arrived it was clear the hotel had a booking only for 3 adults. Having said that no issue was taken by the staff and a bed was quickly added to the room by the staff. I was disappointed that there was an issue in the first place and could not understand how the problem arose. One minor issue with the room was that we discovered as we were using the shower that house-keeping had not replenished the soap and shampoo.

The hotel was spotless throughout, the rooms were very contemporary and well designed. Very large comfortable bed with fab mattress and lovely linens. Modern bathroom with great powerful shower. Breakfast was lovely with loads of choice from fresh fruits, hot food, egg station, fresh pastries and pancake machine along with choice of hot drinks and good quality fruit juices. We loved the lobby bar in the evenings. Friendly, helpful team in reception. Great choice for a stay in Berlin. 6 mins walk to checkpoint Charlie which is also a stop for the open top tour buses. 15 mins walk in the opposite direction to great restaurants, shops and markets.

Location is great for those who dont want to be in the center but close enough to walk, 2mins away is the underground U2 line which runs right across town so is handy for stopping off at any of the popular spots and there is a bus stop outside. The rooms are lovely and clean, warm and comfortable, lovely facilities and the hairdryer needs a mention as its great, not the usual hotel ones that barely dry your hair. Breakfast was a very good selection of hot and cold food, cereals, pancakes and pastries. Very nice. The also have a nice little shop for snacks and light lunch in the lobby which you can take yourself and charge to your room or pay on the go, very handy. Always people in the lobby bar/restaurant so always a nice atmosphere there too. The staff went above an beyond all the time and were always so pleasant and courteous. It was a real pleasure staying here.

The area is a little outside town so not ideal if you want to be in thick of things. Although daytime there is a nice walk down towards Checkpoint Charlie where you pass the Sculptures of Politicians Bush, Gorbachev and Kohl in front of Axel Springer Building and parts of the Berlin wall (Reste der Berliner Mauer), a nice easy short stroll.

I stayed for 3 nights travelling for work in June 2025. The staff were exceptional at all times, extremely friendly and happy to help. The room was superb, perfectly clean and comfortable. I liked the toiletries and the presence of USB and USB-C chargers throughout the room. During the hot weather, the air conditioning was excellent. The room was very quiet and very well equipped. The breakfast was excellent - the dining room was comfortable and the range of options available was extensive. For vegans, the offerings were exceptional including soya yoghurt, vegan quark as well as vegan cheese and ham and a variety of plant milks. The fresh bread, pastries, pistachio spread and blueberry juice were excellent.

Given the price point, it was slightly disappointing that bottles of water in the rooms are not replenished each day and no snacks/biscuits are provided in the rooms.

The hotel is fabulous. The rooms were very well laid out, slippers etc provided. The bathroom was lovely. We loved the under counter light that came on when we walked into the bathroom at night. The staff were very friendly. The location was fantastic. The rooms were very quiet and the air con worked perfectly (many hotels say they have air con but it doesn't work well) The shop in the lobby is great - we used it quite a bit. I would recommend the hotel to anyone and we hope to stay here again.

I didn't book the breakfast, €30 per person for breakfast is very excessive, so we ate breakfast at a local cafe each day. The night we arrived, it was late and we just wanted a quick bite - my 19 year old son wanted the chicken nuggets and was told that they were for kids only, we thought that was ridiculous

The Courtyard Berlin City Center (Room 203) provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was spacious, allowing ample space for two large suitcases, and featured modern decor, a large, comfortable bed, multiple seating options, excellent adjustable lighting, and an openable window for fresh air. Daily housekeeping was flawless, ensuring the room was always spotless. Storage options were plentiful, with hangers, hooks, and shelves, and the mirrors, including a lighted bathroom mirror and a full-length one, were excellent. Basic tea and coffee were provided, and the room was warm and cozy in December, thanks to both air conditioning and a bathroom radiator. The hotel itself was modern and attractive, conveniently located near public transport, with friendly and helpful staff.

There were some downsides. The floor was hard and cold, so indoor slippers are recommended, and the TV had limited English channels, mainly news and cartoons. The hotel is near a busy road, BUT with the windows and curtains closed, it was quiet. The mini-fridge was empty, towels were small, and the shower’s water pressure was a bit weak. Breakfast options were limited to the basics, and toiletries like shampoo and conditioner were not replenished. Wi-Fi was a significant issue, with frequent disconnects unless an additional fee was paid—something that felt unreasonable and was not clearly mentioned during the booking process. Despite these minor issues, staying here was a great choice, and we would definitely return!

An amazing room, great central location, staff helpful and accommodating. We walked to Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandengurg Gates then stopped for a Doner Kebab. These are huge pita sandwiches kebab/gyro style. We rode a 5 hour train from Amsterdam and were ready to relax. There was Berlin stop on our trip was too short to see a fraction of the quaint places and history of the city. This courtyard is a perfect stop. And I haven’t mentioned the amazing breakfast. Definitely a repeat stay is in the future.

The self serve section was a bit pricey though they had a wide selection of beers, wines and other items.

The service was very good. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was good. They have a self-service cafe at the lobby, should you need something in the night. Very easy to get public transportation. There are few restaurants and supermarkets close by. There are some scooters and bikes close to the hotel if you feel like renting them on Lime.
