We really felt good out our decision to stay at Motel One, this is a great chain! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is not in the heart of everything, but it worked for us. There are a couple of nice affordable restaurants across the street one Italian and another with Asian cuisine. There are also some grocery markets within close walking distance.

The breakfast was expensive like getting a full breakfast at a restaurant, yet very average with no option for omelets or anything to make it special.

This hotel had great value for money. Went specifically for the Christmas markets in 2023 and after searching for hotels which were within good distance, good value for money and close to transport links, I stumbled across this hotel. It is very well located, right next 2 multiple bus stops and an underground train station. The hotel itself has a nice open reception with a bar and sit down area downstairs. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It is also located near supermarkets, so if you decide to not take breakfast you can go grab some breakfast for yourself and bring it back to your room or there is a cafe just a minute away. The room itself is a functional room but you don't need anymore for a quick break in Europe. It has everything you require to make your stay comfortable. There was no noise which is something I personally try to make sure being light sleepers. There are lifts in the hotel and they kept our luggage for us so we could pop out and come back after checking out. The rooms are clean. We were able to walk to multiple locations or take a quick bus or train. We loved how close we were to the main Christmas market and actually stumbled upon other markets. Having stayed in a motel one chain in Belgium, it was a familiar brand and I would definitely come back to this hotel if I ever come back to Berlin. I recommend this hotel to anyone after a few nights stay in Berlin! You will not be disappointed for the value for money, closeness to transport and near shops.

In my opinion this was value for money and therefore based on the priced paid and the stars, I felt like it was very reasonable and there was nothing in particular to call out that we didn't like.

When we checked in, I was asked if I wanted a room with a view, or a quiet room, whether I wanted it high up or close to the ground... I don't remember ever being asked that before. I was very impressed. Usually you just get whatever room is given to you - if you don't pay extra for something particular.

The rooms are very small and would have been too small if we had planned on staying in a lot. But as we mainly just came to sleep, this didn't matter much. But it's definitely better if two people share the room that they get a long well.

Great location for a city break to Berlin. Just off the Spittelmarkt U-bahn which is ideal. The rooms are clean and comfortable, has everything you need for a short stay including a 24hr reception. The staff were awesome, very friendly and welcoming.

The rooms are small, and you get what you pay for, fine if you’re an inner city explorer and don’t spend much time in the rooms like me. However, the one thing stopping this from being a 9 or 10 out of 10 is that there is nothing above and beyond expectations. It’s a safe bet, good for the price point but for what you get, it just does the job well, nothing more and nothing less. I would have liked to see more effort to go above expectations but little else to complain about. I’ve stayed in nicer and I’ve stayed in far worse.

The room is super clean, cosy and comfortable. Bathroom is very compact, with including most of the necessities. City view is spectacular. The location is good, just near Mitte and close to all the places. Metro station is just on the corner of the hotel. Breakfast is very good, many sweet and traditional selections. Breakfast is just on the lobby area which is a cosy hangout area, as well. I did not see a breakfast crowd and mostly enjoyed with few other hotel guests. Staff is very friendly, and helping. I requested to change my room and the staff immediately provided a new room.

For me, the room could be a little more heated, but overall heating was not a big issue, as well.

Like the size of the room for a single person and that the bed was a double so there was enough space plus a choice of pillows. The layout of the room made good use of the space so you could move around the room quite comfortably. There were enough hangers and wall hooks to use in the room. There was also a safe in the room. Location was good as really close to a U-bahn station so convenient to take public transport.

That there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There weren't enough towels to use so had to obtain extra from the front desk. The duvet if you can call it that was quite thin and there weren't extra blankets to use.

Small but nice and adequate room with desk, shower, several plugs, air conditioning. Nice daily cleaning. Nice lobby / bar that worked well for drinks / gathering. Close to U-bahn, bus, walkable.

A small thing, but no coffee maker in the room. I am not sure if coffee is available in the lobby without paying for a full breakfast. There is a small cafe across the street that I went to every morning. Please add a coffee maker to rooms in the future! :)

Great location very close to the subway, within walking distance to the Museum Island. Beautiful common area and bar. The staff at the check-in desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful!

The cleaning staff barged in on us twice. By "barging in" I mean knocking just once and opening the door literally within a second so you have no chance of reacting. On the first occasion I was alone in the room just getting out of the shower and on the second we were still in bed, so it was a very unpleasant experience. I did not want to lower my rating because the rest of the hotel staff was great, but it would be nice if the cleaning staff is educated about this issue.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Very good location for access to transport across Berlin. Allowed us early check-in which made our arrival much more pleasant. Staff were very professional and always helpful when we had requests. Very effective air-con which was needed when we were there with very high temperatures during the day.

A little more storage space in the rooms would be nice, and a fridge or an ice machine for having some cold water at least. Breakfast was nice but quite pricey for a family, with a not huge selection of food.

Lovely and clean, very modern. Comfortable bed and friendly staff.

The room was far too hot during the night. It is listed as having air conditioning but we couldn’t get it to work so spoke to reception - however they advised that because of the season, they were heating the hotel and it was not possible to cool the room, only turn the thermostat right down. This did not help as it was an incredibly hot weekend during our stay. The only other option was to open the window but as it was very noisy outside, it made sleeping difficult! Didn’t hear a thing with the window closed but then it meant the room being hot 🥵
