Good hotel for visiting Berlin, in a nice neighborhood with plenty of cafés and restaurants. The room was a bit small but to be honest since we were all the time outside it was not so important. Very quiet, we had a view on a park. Clean. Comfortable bed. U5 at 5 min walking and a S-Bahn station at 10 min walking. Would definitely recommend for a short trip in Berlin.

The wifi could be improved, so I wouldn't recommend it for remote work.

Excellent location, 2 mins from Samaritersr. underground metro with a 10 mins ride to Alexanderplatz and the local sights. Plentyn of small supermarkets, cafes and fast food options along Frankfurter Alle. I had a spacious single en-suite bedroom with ample wardrobe space, flat screen TV. Brilliant continental breakfast with some hot options (scrambled or fried eggs, bacon bits, sausage), breads, croissant, yoghurt, fresh fruits and a nice coffee machine. Free and safe storage space for luggage on the last day, with kind and welcoming reception staff.

Maybe a kettle in the room would have been ideal for own tea/coffee

Location. It’s in lively Friedrichshain area. Walking distance to public transport (also to go to airport ) Quiet road. Friendly staff. Large room, comfortable bed, well functioning bathroom, window giving on green space, good WiFi. Price is fine for area. Hotel feels like a converted home so it’s sad that there isn’t a small fridge or a kettle for tea / coffee.

No lift so luggage to haul up the stairs. No coffee/tea facility. No air con.

The lady at reception during our stay (19-22 July 24) could not have been more helpful or professional. She was so helpful and accommodating. We cannot thank her enough. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is quiet and everything you need day to day is nearby. U-Bahn (U5) is less then 5 mins walk away and S Bahn is 10 mins walk up the road. Lovely breakfast available for an extra fee. I'll definitely look at this place on return to Berlin.

No elevator. We are lucky it didn't have any effect on us but just thought it may be worth mentioning.

The room was nice, clean and cosy.I fell off the bed because it was too small for me but in general it is comfortable. The street was calm, I could sleep in peace. The bathroom was great and big enough. You even get a slipper.

The breakfast was really limited, poor option to choose from. The fruits were full of flies in the kitchen, you cannot grab as much egg as you need but the staff asks you whether you want to have it or not and only a very limited portion. They do not fill it up the breakfast station so if you woke up later you have almost nothing to choose from. You will not be able to occupy your room earlier than the afternoon otherwise you have to pay extra 20 EUR for that. There is no regular air conditioner in the room but only a fan/ventilator.

We stayed only for 1 night, but the hotel was quite, although it was in a lively neighborhood. And our room had a courtyard view away from the street. Very close to U-Bahn station. Lots of restaurants and cafes around, even at later hours.

It must be the most "German" hotel you may find in Berlin that it may bring tears to your eyes :) But joking aside, the only setback may be that the wifi only worked at the door of the room but not inside! There is also a lack of elevators for higher floors which is a pain if you have luggages. Not so close to S-Bahn if you have business rather on that line.

An excellent 3 star hotel nicely located in a vibrant part of Berlin. The facilities were great, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. We really couldn't ask for anything more. The hotel represents great value for money. We definitely would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay whilst in Berlin.

Nothing really. It met all our expectations.

Hotel Kiez was very clean, and the staff were AMAZING! The lady who checked me in was super-efficient, and very nice and friendly. I forgot to bring a plug adapter, and she very kindly loaned me an adaptor for my phone cable. Location of the hotel was ok.... the area was safe, and I found a beautiful Italian cafe 5 mins walk where I had dinner. However, I couldn't see any nice cafes for an after dinner coffee, or the following morning for a coffee or breakfast. The hotel was 15-20 mins walk from the subway station, I was coming from the airport and google maps was my "guide".

The hotel was very basic, it was somewhere to sleep and leave, not a lobby to relax in. Felt more like a posh hostel. The price was high for this, but I think there was an event in Berlin when I was there, it seems to be good value at other times. I couldn't find any nice cafes in the area, and I walked around for almost an hour!

The receptionists Kathleen, and the other kind lady in the evening, were very nice and helpful. The room was as described/pictured, and it was quiet as I requested a room at the back of the property, and not on the 3rd floor, so I stayed in room 207 on the 1st floor and it was good + quiet. I also requested a fan, as it was a hot day, and they provided this in my room waiting for me too. Thanks again to the great staff at Hotel Kiez Pension!

There was no elevator, but I was only on the 1st floor, so it was not really a problem.

great staff, lovely lady who did the amazing breakfast, scrambled eggs were lovely, great choice of breakfast. the room was of good size, spotless and great bathroom, 2 mins walk for a metro to city centre and 15 mins walk to train station to get to airport. would recommend and the area has lots of cafe etc only 5 mins stroll away
