Lovely hotel in a great location, opposite the underground. The restaurant and bar area are fabulous. Our room was nice but very small. The facilities in the room were good but we had not wardrobe space. It was also really hot and there was no air conditioning, just a couple of fans. If you are staying for more than one night like we did, it is worth getting a bigger room.

Size of our room (very small) and lack of wardrobe space. Shower not very private as there is a window with no curtains and you can see people having their shower from the bed so no privacy. We were a couple, so it was OK for us, but something to bare in mind. Air conditioning would help, too, as it was extremely hot.

Great alternative vibe in the hotel. Comfortable beds, a solid breakfast, and we also had a really good lunch and dinner there. The location is alright — Warschauerstrasse is a perfect starting point to explore Berlin. Whether you’re heading to Potsdam, spending a day at Tropical Islands, or visiting Museum Island, everything is easy to reach. The surrounding neighbourhood is lively and fun

If your room faces the street, there’s quite a bit of noise. The windows do close well and keep most of it out, but if you like sleeping with the window open and you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend asking for a room at the back or facing the courtyard. For the rest, I really enjoyed the breakfast — lots of vegan and vegetarian options alongside meat. That said, I found the fruit selection a bit underwhelming, especially for a hotel aiming to offer a healthy breakfast. It could be a bit more generous, in my opinion.

Beautiful big windows in the room but directly opposite the tram and s-bahn platform so everyone could see in. This would have been fine except the bathroom had no light, except a tiny one under the toilet, so in order to be able to see in the shower you had to have the shutters open and therefore no privacy when you came out in your towel! Also I think the opening mechanisms got mixed up with next door as my shutters kept randomly opening, including whilst I was getting changed which was quite alarming. When I checked out the reception staff were busy and only spoke to me to charge my credit card so didn’t have the opportunity to feedback back at the time.

great vibes! traveled alone from Greece for a friend's wedding but never felt alone during my stay in Michelberger. Compliments aredeserved to all participants from owners to staff, cleaning ladies as everything was unpretentiously great. it must have become part of the atmosphere in this unique hotel. I usually dont eat or take breakfast in the hotels i stay as i want to mingle in the cities i visit but i could not resist! Breakfast is top notch. Even my favorite drink Negroni was prepared with a great coffee liquer taking it to the next level!

location could for some be a bit far from the city center but as Berlin has great transportation tools to provide it can be easily managed. i have used Bolt and used either e-scooters or prepaid taxis with great ease.

This is our preferred hotel in Berlin. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and kept immaculately clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is creative and offers an excellent selection both for breakfast and for dinner. The location is only steps from the East Side Gallery and is well connected by public transport. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay in Berlin

The breakfast is always a dream, it's a good place to be and you feel looked after. The smaller loft rooms are also really nice, it was warm and it felt good. Loved the vibe of receptionist upon arrival, super nice.

The first room I stayed in the Overlook, was ironically less pleasant than the loft due to it facing the other side of the street with lots of machine sounds and the room was cold. No carpet or heating. Under the blanket was fine. I take it on me for not mentioning this after day one but nonetheless it was received more as, bad luck you should have told us before moving rooms. I think this could have been different. I have to say despite some of the great people that receive you, there was a sense of lots of things slipping out in the lobby, the staff were maybe too busy or something else but unfortunately leaves a dampened feeling of the place. Also the volume of music in the lobby in the weekends makes it impossible to relax or even talk.

When in Berlin there really is only one place to stay and that’s Michelberger Hotel. From the moment you step in the door, the experience is excellent. The staff are lovely, attentive and friendly, the cafe bar area is a hugely chilled vibe with a fab selection of food and drinks, on an evening the bar is a great place to have a cocktail and start the night off well. The rooms are unique and comfortable, with lots of nice touches such as bespoke pillows, organic toiletries, bottled water and curated tv channels. Plus 24hr Big Lebowski…what’s not to like!

Nothing! Loved every moment I was there

From the check in, i asked if i could see the next bigger room, but it was too big for one person, so i stayed in the room allocated to me, i loved it. It was small but had absolutely everything i needed. Next to a window that overlooked the courtyard, yet private. Paola was amazing, she was super helpful with tips on transportation and other things. The breakfast buffet was impeccable and had the best beans i've ever tasted.

Friday night, around 11:10 pm, i was sitting on the little sofa that leads to the courtyard, and was on the phone, there was lots of people and music but was told to go inside to continue my conversation.

We loved our 2-night stay at Michelberger Hotel, and will definitely be back soon! The location is great: you can get to any major spots in the city within 15-20 minutes. (The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from 'Warchauer Straße' station, with several U-Bahn and S-Bahn stops. Tram stops right in front of the hotel, Bus 300 which goes right to downtown 'mitte' stopping at each key landmark, is also a very short walk away. The 'East Side' neighborhood is very cool, has a great vibe, and you can do nice walks by the river and admire the great artwork on the very long stretch of the preserved WALL. The hotel staff is fabulous: everyone we encountered (reception, bar, housekeeping crew) were super friendly and helpful, loved that they have a truly international crew! The rooms: we booked the 'cosy room' which was indeed tiny, but we knew in advance that it would be, and felt it was a fair value for money. It was super clean, the bed was comfortable, and they made the absolute best they could with the small space. Its perfect for a solo traveler, but was also fine for us as a couple - as long as you are OK with being really cozy :) I can definitely recommend it, if you are on a budget - but the hotel also offers rooms of all sizes, so one can find exactly what they are looking for. Atmosphere: the lobby/lounge area is simply fantastic, someone usually plays the piano, it's always buzzing with people. The adjacent bar/caffee space is very cute, and our favorite was the inner, open-air 'courtyard' with lots of tables and chairs to chill with a drink after a long day of exploring Berlin. Will be staying here again for sure on our next visit as well!

super kind open staff, room super cosy and good bed cushions and blankets, warm, good shower too. as a kundalini teacher I even had access to the yoga room. (it was very special to see the picture of my late teacher in the room. Thank you for keeping her memory alive). I loved the ambiance in the evening, cool crowd, lively - good DJ too !

for me there was not enough food choice in the mornings and evening at the bar (was not in the mood for the whole buffet)
