this place is both cozy and quirky, with some adventurous vibe yet calm, and I enjoyed every moment there. I guess it can be one of the best options to stay during the heat, since the closeness to the water is refreshing (here, I would advise to choose cabins with windows facing the embankment, not the river, because the latter can get very hot from the sun) the cabin is comfy and has a nice design (especially I loved the real sea trunk which you can move and use as a table as well), the bed is great and the bed sheets are from good material. the only thing i was missing was some small lamp above the bed for reading and an extension cord, but other than that everything is perfect. I stayed in the second ship (there are two), which has private rooms but shared bathrooms and toilets. since the ship is not big at all it was not a problem, there was never a line waitng or something. everything is clean and tidy. also both ships have terraces where you can drink free coffee and tea and enjoy the view to the Oberbaumbrücke und other landmarks. it would be also great to have coffee machine and tea on the second ship as well(now, if you wanna drink tea in your cabin and you live in the second ship, you have to carry a cup along the embankment while you are going from one ship to another, so I would advise you to bring a thermos or something like that) but the best part is people! this hotel has amazing crew. special thanks to Margo from Poland, who helped me fix very specific problem! her colleagues are also great: professional and kind. they helped me with bags, explaned everything about the ship, and always were here for me if I had any problem or issue. the reception is on the the first ship, but if you stay in the second one, there is an internal phone so you can just call and they will be here in no time! I really felt welcomed and safe there.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a shipotel in Berlin, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The unique concept of a hotel on water added a delightful charm to my trip. The rooms were cozy and thoughtfully designed, with incredible views of the river that created a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The location was excellent as well—close to major attractions, yet still far away enough from the crowds to feel peaceful. The experience of staying at a shipotel was a perfect blend of novelty and comfort. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Berlin who is looking for something truly special and memorable!

This is not a question of me "not liking" anything - but it is best to know exactly what a shipotel is. I prefer to stay in unusual locations, so I have become accustomed to the constraints that such places must work within. It was a real functioning ship - and the rooms are very compact berths. There is no en-suite toilet and showers. There is only a few plugs in each room.

It was fun to stay in this hotel with the kids. The rooms are exactly like ship cabins, so no extra facilities other than beds, a minimal wc and a small closet, but you're prepared about that. And the stuff is willing to provide whatever extras you mignt need. The common area with coffee machine etc was also nice.

The wc was old, so be prepared if you opt for the sparkling kind of bathroom. A bit noisy during the evening when they had stand up comedy on the roof. The upper beds are a bit declining, so I felt "gliding" during the night.

Excellent location, perhaps one of the best in Berlin? An experience! Not too noisy, a little movement in the boat from the water and a fun and budget friendly place to stay.

Very loud when kids jump on the roof/deck in the morning, shower wasn’t brilliant and clearly used by someone with a lot of long dark hair before me that had not bothered to even get the hair collected. (No blame on the staff of the hotel though!)

The location is great and the cabins which face the river are fantastic with full-length windows which are very relaxing to open and look out of at night with a beer... However, these are first come first served and if you get a cabin on the other side you are facing the Berlin Wall with hordes of tourists taking selfies. However, this proximity to the Berlin Wall is historic and there are several budget places to eat and drink in this area. From kebab shops to the food court at the Eastside mall which has everything.

This part of Berlin is not the cleanest which adds to the charm in some ways. There are also lots of young people sitting outside on The grass all day eating fast food which attracts vermin. I did see a couple of rats running around just outside the boat, but this didn't bother me, however, I was sure to shut my enormous windows when I went out...

The location is great, interesting neighbourhood to walk around, lots of good cafes, bars and restaurants nearby and good transport links. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and the mattress was comfy.

The bed is installed VERY high up, a bit over a meter high I think. It came up to my chest and I'm 1.87m, with nothing provided to help you climb in and out of it. It was very difficult to get in and out of. The light in the shared bathrooms also turns off very quickly (after about 90 seconds) which is annoying when showering.

Superb location near the vivid nightlife area, 8min walk from the nearest U-tube station. Surprisingly quiet given the expected clientele. Very clean. Comfy beds. Temperature was just right - not too hot, not too cold.

There was nothing I disliked, just a note for those with different expectations: I was looking for an unconventional accommodation and it perfectly fit my expectations. Boats are not known for featuring lavish space or high ceilings. Quite small for those who may want more room. Definitely very crampy for three (the maximum number of people the room could accommodate).

Friendly/helpful/responsive staff, comfortable bed, relaxing experience sleeping on the water

My room was on the south side of the boat, and I did not fully think through that it could get very hot on an exposed (no shade) metal ship, and in did (it was about 87°F/31°C). In fact, if it had gotten any hotter I would have had to at to stay at a different hotel. I moved the mattress down onto the floor beneath the lofted bed frame, which was quiet and few degrees cooler. That said, I think investing in (at least) some wide canvas awnings that can be lowered to shade the boat on hot days should be seriously considered.

Good place quality/price. The location was perfect, close to Berlin Wall and Oberbaum Bridge, with very good connections to the center and airport, you could get to the city center in about 20-25 minutes. Many shops and restaurants nearby, Lidl, Mall East Side Berlin, cozy cafes and icecream shops. The boat's terrace was a really nice place to sit and relax, to enjoy the surroundings. The room and the common spaces, terrace and toilets were clean. The personnel was nice and helpful, giving us any information we needed and also things like a hairdryer and umbrella. Because of the late check in, it was possible to leave your luggage before checking in, which was perfect.

Little space in the cabin, but we knew from the begging. The bed was too high and couldn't reach it without a chair if you are not a very tall person, so I got a bruise from that (we had a chair, but it was better to use it for other stuff since the space was small). The fan wasn't enough for the temperature in the cabin, you needed to open the window or the door to feel better. Many tourists in the area, both during the day and night (Berlin Wall close and some people remained overnight on the nearby green space), however, it wasn't a noisy zone.

Great location, friendly staff, good value for money, late check in was okay, love the whole concept of having a hotel on a boat, plenty of seating available to just chill.

More feedback than criticisms but a black out blind for windows would have made it better as the curtains didn't cover window completely and let alot of light in. The pillows are horrible and provide no support for head or neck. The staff were quick to provide me with an extra one though. The room was super hot on the first night. If staying here in warmer weather, a fan would be important for general comfort. If I were on the landside I think my score would be considerably different but fortunately had a waterside room.
