Great, central location, close to major train station and the Berlin Wall gallery. Staff were helpful and the rooms are small but well-designed. Comfy beds - mattress was nice and firm with plenty of pillows supplied. Nice bar with good music for a nightcap.

The hotel is popular with groups of students and teenagers, so it can be loud at times. No cash accepted anywhere in the hotel. Room tidy-up and change of towels and sheets must be ordered through the app - it took us a while to figure this out. Limited storage space for luggage, we had to use the storage in the nearby train station.

The room was very comfortable, cozy, and spacious, with plenty of hangers, storage space, and a good desk. The bathroom was spotless and fully equipped with all the necessary amenities (hand towel, towel, body and hand soap). The hotel also offers a large lounge area with comfortable seating and a separate, spacious playroom for kids. If you come by car, there's a public garage in front of the hotel (Ostbanhof).

I was disappointed that even after requesting a body/shampoo refill twice, I was only provided with hand soap. Additionally, the luggage lockers are NOT FREE — they must be paid for at a machine, but during my stay, only one machine was working, and there were no medium or large lockers available.

The hotel was clean and modern. My children particularly enjoyed the style of the room with the bunk bed idea. The play room was great. You don't see many hotels come up with that idea The air conditioning worked wonders particularly with how warm it was outside. The location was superb.

There were some fingerprints underneath the bunk which showed that it wasn't thoroughly cleaned. That's one glitch on an otherwise v.clean room We didn't feel that the breakfast was value for money. A decent breakfast none the less. We would have liked more breakfast cereal options and the milk to have been kept cold.

The only thing I did not like is we were first assigned a room literally between the elevators. As you come out of the elevators, our room was on the wall in between the two sets of elevators, in the elevator square area. So it was very noisy because obviously when people are waiting for the elevator they don't realize there is a room there. There is one on each floor between the elevators. We asked for a room change and they were very nice and changed our room for a quieter one down the hall. So I would advise light sleepers to not get that room.

Centrally located to 'downtown' Berlin, Schulz Hotel Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery is a relatively easy walk from most of the major tourist attractions found in central Berlin and offers clean, groovy communal spaces with spacious private rooms for all sorts of travellers, from friend to family groups. There's an onsite restaurant/bar/cafe, luggage storage room, bike storage room, garage, unlimited wifi etc. There's a great Italian Restaurant nearby, Mina, which is perfect for a fancy night out, or a little further away, once can walk across the canal to eat burgers in an old, converted toilet, Burgermeister.

Staff attitude was a little lacking when it came to customer service. Despite the front desk being manned, upon arrival, we were told to check in on an iPad, which left me wondering, 'what on earth is the front desk manned for if they're not even going to assist in checking in?' This was disappointing, and staff manner could use some work when it comes to providing clientele with customer service.

Fantastic location, great value, new facilities, ultra comfy bed and pillows, well maintained and cleaned rooms and shared spaces. quick efficient staff at the desk had me check in in seconds, as well as checked out of the property in the morning. The room was well equipped with an espresso machine, water bottle and glass cups, clean crisp bedding, lots of lighting and outlets, full blackout curtains, and a shower\toilet that worked perfectly well.

honestly there was very little left to be desired. the deluxe room i booked at the top floor was a little small for the price, but i found it well-suited for my needs.

The Schulz hotel is extremely well located, right in front of the Ostbahnhof and next to the Berlin Wall Gallery and therefore really well accessible. The staff were kind and helpful, rooms modern and well equipped. I appreciated the digital key option.

We were traveling low-cost, as a group of four, sharing a room. While the room was not crowded, the “bunk beds” were really not easily accessible. I would have also appreciated a safe in the room to s tore my electronics etc. While the digital key was a great idea, I would have very much appreciated the option to store it in the Apple Wallet as it is much easier to use. Breakfast was good, but the options were kinda limited, I would have appreciated more options.

Well located in terms of access to the rest of the city. Super good value for money. The room was comfortable and modern, even having shutters with buttons. You can also control the thermostat. The staff allowed me to check in early and gave me a room that had just been cleaned.

Only two things come to mind, but they wouldn’t be enough to dissuade me from recommending this place, or staying here again in future: first was that I only had a small towel initially, but I later asked the reception for a larger towel which they immediately gave. Another thing is that the cleaning staff were quite a bit noisy in the morning but perhaps this is to be expected

Location is great, in front of a central train station and nearby east side gallery and many clubs. Also, its about 25 minutes in train from airport. Breakfast is variable and delicous. Reception stuff is very nice. We booked a room for 4 and stayed 3 people, it was fit for us even if it was a bit cozy. We always had a hot water

I'd give 10 to the hotel if the housekeeping would refresh towels, toilet paper and cleaning the room daily. We were 6 nights in the hotel, everyday in the morning we looked for the housekeeping worker to change us towels etc. After something like 4 nights, we discover a small sign in the bathroom that we need to ask for housekeeping everytime we want them to clean our room. As a traveler, i'd expect to have a daily room cleaning, or at least to get an explanation about how it works... And also i'd recommand to add a small fridge in the rooms. Except the above, Anything else was perfect.

I like that the beds come with a nightlight and long stand that fits a variety of items (small water bottles, meds, phones, eye covers, glasses etc.) The location is fantastic being across an sbahn station with a Rewe (grocery store) under it so getting food and water was very easy. This sbahn station (ostbahnhof) can be accessed directly from the airport and get pretty much anywhere in Berlin within 20 minutes. The pillow is very soft. I also appreciated having a virtual keycard since it can’t be demagnetized on accident.

It was very dry and could use a humidifier. I also found that the blanket could get hot for me and would require some finesse to find a comfortable arrangement.
