The Schulz hotel is exactly opposite the Ostbahnhof with convenient links to the airport, main train station, Berlin city center, Olympiastadion and other places using the trains, underground and buses. Got the Deutschland ticket for all transport all over Germany for a month. The metro runs till late at night and early in the morning so it was easy to get everywhere. Plus the station has plenty of food options and a Rewe supermarket. The "Emma by Schulz" part is just the top 2 floors of the same hotel which are supposed to be more exclusive, the rest of the hotel is more like a hostel. The East Side Gallery - the remains of the Berlin wall- is literally just outside the hotel and the Spree river is behind it. The Uber Arena is a 15 minute walk away along the East Side Gallery. Had asked for a quiet room but was given one facing the station and the main road. It was quiet with the window closed and the airconditioning on but the curtain is really thin and the rising sun woke me up every morning around 5am. The room is really tiny but I could manage. Nice bathroom and shower and good toiletries. There were a couple of shelves and a short hanging rail with a small desk and a single stool. There was a coffee machine and a kettle but no fridge.

Got too many emails and messages from the hotel a few days before arrival asking to download the Schulz app and complete the check in online. Could not do it because I was travelling plus the app did not work. The staff at reception checked me in normally when I arrived. Breakfast was too expensive so I did not try it.

We had a room over looking the East Gallery of the Berlin Wall - best view we could have hoped for! Room was a good size and had a kettle and coffee machine. Very clean. Strong shower and lovely Rituals and sensitive skin shower lotions. Didn't try the breakfast as £11 is a bit much for us but we did get a large bottle of still water provided in the room alongside the tea and coffee options.

Lift and door having to be operated by phone with no option of a card was annoying. Was worried battery might die. Girl on reception at arrival seemed to think I was mad asking for a card option as well. Area is a little rough around the edges but the price reflects that - try not to hang about the station for extended periods if you can help it!

Conveniently located near East Station, I loved the Nespresso machine and plenty of power outlets, especially near the bed. I love that you only get room service if you need it and the breakfast was nice. The whole concept of the hotel is appalling to me, that’s what I need when I travel for business, and frankly I do not need much else.

The room’s window face directly another high building. Basically there is no privacy unless you close your curtains completely. I don’t think this is something they can fix, though. It would have been perfect if it also had a gym. That would make it my perfect choice for business trips.

Hotel Emma by Schultz is a great option away from the city centre! The decor is tasteful and thoughtfully designed, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere throughout the property. The location couldn’t be more convenient—right in front of the train station and just steps away from the iconic East Side Gallery. The breakfast offers a variety of options, and there's plenty of space in the restaurant area.

The only downside I can think of is the paid luggage storage service. While it’s convenient to have the option, it would have been nice if this service were complimentary, especially considering the overall quality of the hotel.

We were in Berlin for a show in Uber Eats Music Arena and hotel is located perfectly for that purpose. Railway station Ostbahnhof is literally over the street that connects from one side airport by 20 min and from other side the city center (f.E. Alexanderplatz) 5 min ride. Great bonus is that also Uber Arena is just 10-15 min short walk away. There is a 1.3 km long fragment of historic Berlin Wall preserved next to the hotel. Hotel itself looks quite new and modern, rooms cosy and decorated with great taste. We've been in quite many hotels but Emma by Schulz had one of the best bed in terms of mattress (likes those who prefer rather stiff). Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nothing really, just if I have to say to add something - breakfast was sufficient but nothing too special but everything was there.

I found the hotel a pleasant place to visit and spend time, and very convenient. The check in and out couldn't be easier, it was all done via an app, and as this also opened the doors there was no need to keep hold of a room key. The breakfast was excellent. The bathroom was far more spacious and modern than I'm used to. And the location of the hotel, near Ostbahnhof and next to the East Side Gallery, was very useful too. The vibe is friendly, youthful and alternative.

The food available for meals is a bit basic; it's essentially just burgers, which are fine but not worth staying in for. The breakfasts were much better, but were on the pricey side. The bedroom wasn't huge, it got a bit warm, and there was some sound and light from the traffic outside. And while there was a room to leave your bags, it wasn't secure. These points don't take away much from what was overall a very good experience.

We liked the location a lot. It is across the street from Berlin Ostbahnof and hence convenient to move around. Other wise the Hotel is located next to the famous Berlin Wall. You can take a walk along the wall after a good breakfast at the hotel. People travelling with car can park their car at DB parking lot across the street for a price of 9€ per night.

The breakfast was organized this time at the 1st floor, not at the their regular cafe, which made it a little crowded and felt the spread was not as good as I had the previous time.

I highly recommend this stay! It was very attentive and convenient. Fairly priced as well. Loved the location, decor, cleanliness, luggage room. Very helpful. Also appreciated the good AC during August!

Only negative thing to say is that I had to submit for a cleaning multiple times before someone cleaned our room finally on the last day of our 7 day trip. The first two submissions to the front desk just didn't happen??? The third one finally did. Not a big deal, but not ideal either. I still completely rec this hotel!!!!!

Amenities are a nice surprise! It's very clean. The location is great, to be next to the East side Gallery makes you go live The Wall over and over from different perspectives. There is a delicious coffee shop at Ostbahnhof, shopping nearby.

The staff was very nice but had no experience in tourist information. They didn't know about a laundry place or where to rent bikes or Postdam. They misled us with luggage storage that ended up being expensive

The hotel was right next to east side gallery, the station, and cafes and restaurants. We loved being able to watch netflix and the staff were very friendly.

The room wasn't completely clean on check-in. We found two blonde curly hairs in our bed (we have black hair) and there was shower gel in replacement of where hand soap should have been. We had to go to the common room to put our drinks in the fridge which was good to have but not as convenient. The toilet roll holder was dusty where the toilet roll was sitting as well as around it; this isn't hygienic.
