Staff is friendly, the rooms are modern, well-furnished, and are kept very clean. Breakfast is very varied.

I had access to the executive lounge; unfortunately, the lounge itself was rather poorly furnished, with uncomfortable chairs. Also, there was a persistent bad smell. The snacks on offer (and the hot and cold buffet served after 17.30) were poor in quality; they weren't what you would expect in an executive lounge.

Beautiful entrance, clean hotel and welcoming check in. Close to the central.

We have been to few JW Marriott’s in the world and this one is on the bottom of our list. 5 star hotel but no butler at the entrance. I had to drag suitcases by myself… On the way to our room there was plates with left over food from the room service on the floor outside the rooms (next day was still there). Room was nice just enough for a couple. A little bit old… Reception should be 24/7… I have been calling at 1 AM because I needed extra towels but no response… Service and staff needs to be improved.

The room was excellent, an exceptionally large double room, with a view over the city (or the part of the city visible from the hotel). We were also able to make use of the indoor swimming pool, which obviously isn't large, but it's not a bathtub either: It's a real pool. (Although the lockers were all broken and unusable.) The bar was very nice ("retro" feeling), with surprisingly reasonable prices. The steak restaurant also served very good steaks at, yes, highish prices but also excellent quality. There is also a kind of bakery/cafe' on the ground floor as a good alternative to the full breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff. And the hotel itself is quite lovely, with a beautiful lobby.

The location is good in some ways: there are a few museums right next door, including the relatively new modern art museum, the museum of the resistance, and a couple of others. But otherwise it's a bit off the beaten tourist track. You can walk to Potsdamer Platz, but it's a good 20 minute hike. We ended up using taxis (of which there are fortunately many types in Berlin) to go places. As long as the pros and cons of the location are clear, you can have a very nice stay here.

Depending on what you're traveling to Berlin to see, determines how good the hotel's location is. Ours was excellent because it is well placed for the Gemaldegalerie and the Resistance Centre, but also fairly close to the Victory Column and other 'attractions'. The hotel is fabulous in so many ways: staff members' helpfulness and courtesy, restaurant choices, above-average room size we had, spotlessness throughout this very large hotel, room and hotel amenities... . Everything was perfect. We had the exec' lounge access, which was a very nice place to nibble on nice snacks and drink some wines or beer after a long day out around Berlin's many points of interest. Fabulous hotel stay.

Service was good and quick, room was clean and quiet, everywhere in the premises was cosy and well organised. For sure costs it's money.

The pool is not big enough for the size of the hotel and chlore was smelling in the corridor of the floor, where it's located.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel the staff were simply amazing. We were a group of 4, with my parents-in-law who are both over 85 years old. The concierge instantly took the bags from them and made sure they were ok. The hotel is beautifully appointed and certainly feels luxurious. Our rooms were of a very high standard - with lots of little details that just made all the difference ( shoe cleaning kit; ironing board and iron; sewing kit; bottled water; lovely coffee - the list goes on). The stand out for us, however, has to be all of the staff. They were all just exceptional. Many thanks.

The only slight downside is the fact there are limitations for eating an evening meal. There are not many eateries that we found in the area and the restaurant in the hotel is a steakhouse - and two of our party were not particularly keen as they don’t eat a lot of meat. There is a superb bus service that runs into some busier areas with options of restaurants. We just needed to be mindful of having two elderly people with us.

Beautiful building, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. I stayed here for a week and all my interactions with the staff were handled in an exceptionally generous and caring manner—they clearly take genuine pleasure in taking care of their guests. Generous rooms with perfect sound insulation. Excellent housekeeping. So many great details. Overall: a fantastic version of the thing it's trying to be. A real achievement—the entire hotel team can be proud. Thank you!

It's hard to find things to say. Some small things: in the spa, the men's changing room is too small and some lockers need repair. In the bedroom, there should be more power plugs near to the desk. When the chefs make eggs for breakfast, ideally they would serve them on a warm plate.

The hotel is in easy walking distance from some public transport however less mobile guests will probably need a taxi to get to the nearest U-Bahn stop. The room was spacious, well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot, just what you need after a long day of exploring bernin at winter time. The front desk staff really make this place, helpful and cheery at every interaction. Blackout blinds were great for us as we like to sleep in during the mornings and stay out a bit later at night.

Our room was close to the elevator and you could quite often hear people moving around and chatting which did wake us a few times. The housekeeping staff were very efficient and friendly however quite noisy when cleaning the rooms either side of ours (banging walls with vacuum cleaners, talking loudly to each other right outside our door) and they would start early.

My husband and I enjoyed a 2-night stay at your beautiful hotel so much! The most remarkable memory is about the staff members, at reception, at Concierge, at entrance door, at breakfast restaurant, at Berlin Bakery and for cleaning room! They seem like enjoying working there and we could feel that from them! This energy brings a heartwarming atmosphere at hotel! Our unforgettable experience has been added to our memory of our first visit to Berlin… we will never forget!! A big compliment and thank you to all the the staff members of JW Marriott Hotel Berlin!!! We will definitely visit again from Northern Germany.

The only disappointing thing during our stay was the omelette I ordered from the buffet for breakfast.

I can't deny that I made an excellent choice for the JW Marriott Hotel Berlin during my stay in Germany. I was able to visit incredible and historic places, enjoy local food and also have the opportunity to discover places that I would never have thought of visiting. The staff at the JW Marriott Hotel Berlin were completely attentive to me and willing to help me whenever I needed them. I also can't forget to mention the wonderful, varied and delicious breakfast. The room I stayed in was completely clean and very tidy, it was one of the best and most cozy rooms I've ever stayed in. One of the strong points is undoubtedly the location, which is around a 35-minute walk to the Brandenburg Gate and other surrounding attractions. I would like to thank the hotel staff for their kindness and for providing me with incredible days while I was in Berlin.
