Staff is friendly, the rooms are modern, well-furnished, and are kept very clean. Breakfast is very varied.

I had access to the executive lounge; unfortunately, the lounge itself was rather poorly furnished, with uncomfortable chairs. Also, there was a persistent bad smell. The snacks on offer (and the hot and cold buffet served after 17.30) were poor in quality; they weren't what you would expect in an executive lounge.

Everything. Easy to park, great location and all the amenities I like: pool, exceptionally comfy beds, electric teakettle and coffee maker in the room, sitting area in room overlooking the cool rooftop garden. But the best part was being there with my family it felt like home! We could easily go back and forth to each other's rooms, go to the pool or hang out in the nice outside sitting area in front of the hotel.

Had a little trouble with my parking ticket not working one day when we exited the garage. We had to leave the car behind the barrier and get a new ticket from the front desk. But it was a fun mini-adventure, we had a good laugh

Great location. Friendly staff. Guest relations prepared a special treat to celebrate our honeymoon. Especially Nabil from the breakfast staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. The brunch selection was rich and filling. It was a nice surprise to see sarma, a traditional Turkish dish, at the open buffett. Overall, our stay at JW Marriott was fantastic.

The room was newly renovated and it was clean. However, it got really hot at night. We stayed on floor 6 and it was especially humid and hot due to the pool and sauna on the same floor.

Depending on what you're traveling to Berlin to see, determines how good the hotel's location is. Ours was excellent because it is well placed for the Gemaldegalerie and the Resistance Centre, but also fairly close to the Victory Column and other 'attractions'. The hotel is fabulous in so many ways: staff members' helpfulness and courtesy, restaurant choices, above-average room size we had, spotlessness throughout this very large hotel, room and hotel amenities... . Everything was perfect. We had the exec' lounge access, which was a very nice place to nibble on nice snacks and drink some wines or beer after a long day out around Berlin's many points of interest. Fabulous hotel stay.

The room was excellent, an exceptionally large double room, with a view over the city (or the part of the city visible from the hotel). We were also able to make use of the indoor swimming pool, which obviously isn't large, but it's not a bathtub either: It's a real pool. (Although the lockers were all broken and unusable.) The bar was very nice ("retro" feeling), with surprisingly reasonable prices. The steak restaurant also served very good steaks at, yes, highish prices but also excellent quality. There is also a kind of bakery/cafe' on the ground floor as a good alternative to the full breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff. And the hotel itself is quite lovely, with a beautiful lobby.

The location is good in some ways: there are a few museums right next door, including the relatively new modern art museum, the museum of the resistance, and a couple of others. But otherwise it's a bit off the beaten tourist track. You can walk to Potsdamer Platz, but it's a good 20 minute hike. We ended up using taxis (of which there are fortunately many types in Berlin) to go places. As long as the pros and cons of the location are clear, you can have a very nice stay here.

Location in the city center, but in a very quiet area. Nice spacious entrance and very friendly reception staff. During my stay, I needed medical assistance, and the receptionist responded promptly and professionally. The hotel room was spacious enough and had the facilities I needed. Bathroom with a bathtub.

The room and the bathroom are dated. The carpet in the room is a bit old and has stains that won’t come out. The shower in the bathtub is basic, and you would expect more from a five-star hotel.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel the staff were simply amazing. We were a group of 4, with my parents-in-law who are both over 85 years old. The concierge instantly took the bags from them and made sure they were ok. The hotel is beautifully appointed and certainly feels luxurious. Our rooms were of a very high standard - with lots of little details that just made all the difference ( shoe cleaning kit; ironing board and iron; sewing kit; bottled water; lovely coffee - the list goes on). The stand out for us, however, has to be all of the staff. They were all just exceptional. Many thanks.

The only slight downside is the fact there are limitations for eating an evening meal. There are not many eateries that we found in the area and the restaurant in the hotel is a steakhouse - and two of our party were not particularly keen as they don’t eat a lot of meat. There is a superb bus service that runs into some busier areas with options of restaurants. We just needed to be mindful of having two elderly people with us.

Beautiful entrance, clean hotel and welcoming check in. Close to the central.

We have been to few JW Marriott’s in the world and this one is on the bottom of our list. 5 star hotel but no butler at the entrance. I had to drag suitcases by myself… On the way to our room there was plates with left over food from the room service on the floor outside the rooms (next day was still there). Room was nice just enough for a couple. A little bit old… Reception should be 24/7… I have been calling at 1 AM because I needed extra towels but no response… Service and staff needs to be improved.

Beautiful building, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. I stayed here for a week and all my interactions with the staff were handled in an exceptionally generous and caring manner—they clearly take genuine pleasure in taking care of their guests. Generous rooms with perfect sound insulation. Excellent housekeeping. So many great details. Overall: a fantastic version of the thing it's trying to be. A real achievement—the entire hotel team can be proud. Thank you!

It's hard to find things to say. Some small things: in the spa, the men's changing room is too small and some lockers need repair. In the bedroom, there should be more power plugs near to the desk. When the chefs make eggs for breakfast, ideally they would serve them on a warm plate.

Service was good and quick, room was clean and quiet, everywhere in the premises was cosy and well organised. For sure costs it's money.

The pool is not big enough for the size of the hotel and chlore was smelling in the corridor of the floor, where it's located.
