I thought I would get very little for my price but it was an EXCELLENT hotel and great surprise! I enjoyed the full kitchen, bathroom, closets galore and bright space. The location was convenient to get to any area of Berlin. I have no regrets for having chose. This location and have already spread the word to friends. Maria Rosa the manager was super helpful as well.

Please leave instructions on how to use the cook top. I am unfamiliar with induction coolers and texted the customer service but they could not guide me. Maria Rosa the manager finally showed me how to use it the next day.

Very simple check-in with a kiosk in the lobby. Large room with comfortable cooking facilities and equipment. Comfortable bed, nice and firm. Nice view, good curtains to block out all light. Good bathroom facilities.

If I can nitpick, it could have been nice to get a second pillow.

Clean room with a kitchenette, quite spacious for the modern standards (well, the bar is not high). Very decent bathroom. Nothing to really complain about.

The automatic check-in procedure could be more convenient. They sent me many messages (FAR TOO MANY), often repeating, with check-in instructions. Then, when I arrived to this hotel, the automatic-reception-desk terminal asked me for some number which I do not think ever occured in all these messages. Then, when I was unable to produce this number, the terminal agreed to identify me using my birth date and to create the hotel room card. This is all absurd. Why don't you simply send people a single message with a 6 digit code to use at check-in ?

I often stay here when I visit Berlin for work due to it's location - very convenient for the Technical University and the S9 to the airport from Zoologischer Garten station. The apartment was well appointed, with everything you need for a short stay. I appreciated the complementary coffee pods, and access to both a kettle and coffee machine. The apartment was warm and comfortable with zoned lighting. The bed was comfortable and the room nice and quiet, despite its proximity to a busy road - the curtains blocked light well, ensuring a good night's sleep.

The room felt a little tired compared to others I've stayed in at the property - the toilet seat hinge was damaged and the bathroom wasn't quite as spotless as in previous visits (previous guests' razor covers left in the shower, for example).

I booked this studio for the location, which was perfect for me. Depending on time of arrival, the check in contactless, or at some times personal. I had an airline delay of one day, and asked for an early check in time on the next day and was happy to have it granted. I was met by Mr. Lee who gave me a tour of the property and explained aspects of the studio. He was a big plus after a long and delayed trip from the Southwest US. Everything was modern, up to date, and complete. The balcony has wonderful city views, and I really appreciate having a toaster, The only thing I didn't like is something I find all over Europe, a comfortable bed, but so low to the floor, getting up requires extra ingenuity for a 75 year old senior . Since that's the case everywhere I have stayed in Europe, I can't fault the property. Highest ratings all around for this gem.

The bed so low to the floor, but I came up with a way to adjust posture and launch myself to a standing position without destroying my knees. I repeat this is more a senior problem and doesn't change my 110% satisfaction with the SMARTment and the people there.

This is a service apartment, so don't expect service like a hotel - no breakfast, 24 hour concierge, or luggage storage. Super clean, amazing view from our room with balcony. Kitchenette is small but it has everything you need, with dishwasher and microwave too. Salt and condiment can be found on the ground floor. Bathroom is great. Particularly like their 3 in 1 shampoo and hand wash - perform much better than I thought! Would be better if 2 bottles are provided so I don't have to bring them into the shower and out for washing hands. Check in is simple.

What is most important to me in a place to stay is that it's very quiet and dark, and at a good location. These aspects were PERFECT! I loved my little apartment, which was functional, spotlessly clean, and tasteful (plain, modern). The high-tech communications, check-in, etc. were great. I especially want to compliment a man named Hong Guan Lee, who was more than a typical apartment manager: friendly and kind, helpful, hospitable, and attentive to every detail. Very nice!

My only suggestion would be to add a comfortable chair, or upholstered armchair, for relaxing, reading, etc. This would be an improvement especially for longer-stay clients (I stayed for 3 weeks).

I had a delightful stay at SMARTments! The location is incredibly convenient, with public transport just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the area. Despite being compact, the room had a cozy, welcoming feel, perfect for relaxing after a day out. I was especially impressed by the small kitchen – it’s well-equipped with everything you might need for a quick meal or snack, which is a thoughtful touch. The bathroom was spotless, and the entire space felt clean and well-maintained. Overall, it’s a perfect choice for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and value around Berlin!

The room was very clean and it was cleaned by room service every week. Staff was very friendly and open to solve an issue. The property is located next to zoo in a very strategic position in the Berlin area. The room was equipped with good furniture even the dishwasher was available with detergent, a fridge, the AC comfortable bed, sheet were changed every week by the room service. Room was also very quiet and overall the day was very pleasant.

I have not complaint at all concerning this property or the stay.

Great location, despite being far from the city center, it is well connected and in 15 minutes it is possible to reach the most famous areas. Very good area, the neighborhood is peaceful and with several bakeries for breakfast. The rooms are clean, cozy and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Although the staff is only available in person for two hours in the morning, they are very responsive via booking chat.

We might suggest to give the possiblity to check-in before lunch and include a storing room for the luggages.
