May 2025

The room was at the back of the hotel and was quiet (as we had asked). It was clean, a good size, there was a tilt and turn window, a good sized double bed, TV, kettle, complimentary bottles of water, glasses, coffee and coffee cream, plenty of towels, toiletries and slippers. The location was, for our purposes, ideal - very close to Westend U-bahn and the 36 bus, good cafés and a Rewe corner shop. We did not book or try breakfast as we had made other arrangements elsewhere in town.

It is a personal matter but the mattress transmitted any movement while lying on it from one end of the matter. I am a light sleeper and so kept being woken by my partner's movements. Next time we stay here we'll get twin beds rather than a double.

The location is great. Close the Palm Garten, the university, the museum of Natural History, and some consulates. Very nice area. The room was fine but it got a bit hot. There was an air conditioner, that was good but it blew directly on the bed. That was not much of my taste.

The room faced the street and it was on the second floor. The problem was that the window in the bathroom had a veil as curtain but no shutter. So, in the night, if one took a shower or just went to bathroom and one switched on the light, people outside might had been able to see. However, this was unlikely because the window was high and the other side of the street was far away. I still felt uncomfortable. From outside of the building I could see other rooms had shutters. I tried to tell the lady at the reception. She did not want to look at the face from outside, but she went to my room to see it. She could not do anything, I understand, but did not consider it important. I will still stay there again.

The hotel looks a bit old-fashioned from the outside and in the room, some of the furniture also clearly was slightly dated. But I did not care that the nightstand was not a design novelty, it worked for me. The bed was comfortable, there were two duvets to choose from (heavy and light) and the bathroom was newly renovated and sparkingly clean. One of the main attractions is the location at one of the main ateries of Frankfurt and near both the inner city and the University Campus, while next to a posh neighboorhood with good restaurants (Westend). The breakfast was also very good, with a lot of choice on breads and cold cuts, cereals and fruit.

1. **Location:** The hotel is within walking distance of the city center and the subway. 2. **Rooms:** The rooms are very spacious, making me feel like royalty as soon as I walked in. 3. **Cleanliness:** The rooms, bed, and towels were all spotless. 4. **Breakfast:** I recommend including breakfast during your stay. The dining area felt cozy, and there was a variety of food options. Even with my dietary needs, I was able to enjoy a lovely breakfast.

A word of caution, even though it wasn't a deal breaker for me: while booking the room, booking.com listed an airport shuttle service for this hotel; however, there is none.

Lovely hotel. We had a very large room for 3 of us. Plenty big enough. Walk in shower, plenty towels provided. Few accessories provided also, body lotion, shower gel shower cap, and nail file came in handy. Breakfast, plenty of choices from cereals, fruit, bread, cheeses, meats and pastries to little hot food and nice selection of coffees and teas. Beautiful area for sitting having breakfast. Staff are lovely. Would stay here again. Not far from train station, 5 min walk.

Very spacious room with two comfy armchairs. Bed very comfortable. Loved the small balcony which had a table and two chairs with cushions. Room at back of hotel so quiet. Air conditioning very welcome. Frankfurt was hot! Great to have a fridge and complimentary bottled water. Lots of wardrobe and shelving space.

The shower floor was slippery for older folk but fortunately we travel with a non slip mat. The basin didn’t have a plug so had to shave/wash face while running the water from sensor tap. The breakfast buffet was well stocked but it was very busy and the layout was a bit tricky. But having said this, we are returning to Palmenhof in October.

Very nice staff, very nice rooms (for the price), parking slot in the front of the hotel. Large rooms, one room (the double one) with terrace. The other room (the single one) with a large bathtub. Good mattresses, we slept well. A nice touch, the complimentary drinks at check-in and in the room. They gave us access to the ice-cubes maker machine in the late evening.

The furniture is quite old fashioned and the keys have a very heavy metal plate attached (it is uncomfortable to carry-on in your pocket. The Wi-Fi needs sign-in every time you depart from the room (like going to the car in front of the hotel) and coming back, we start consuming a huge amount of mobile data in roaming because we thought we were on Wi-Fi...

The hotel is a good standard - not posh, but very clean and well attended. It is excellent value. The team was above and beyond. I returned from meetings well after midnight, so even food delivery options were scarce. Frankly, I had missed the chance to get dinner anywhere! The gentleman at the desk took the very kind and thoughtful solution of just finding me some things from the kitchen - unasked. About 10 min after I went upstairs, he gently knocked with some nice bread on a plate. Unbeatable!

The location is within walking distance to the centre. Its very clean Beds are comfortable The staff were helpful..

The size if the room is small for three persons and the bathroom door is glass I booked thus hotel because they offer car parking. However after booking, they only confirm the booking for one night and they asked me to remove my car second day. However, the staff helped me to find a suitable park for my car

Staff accomodated my change request that they didnt have to! everyone was nice and pleasant. Many hotels in Frankfurt are near the trainstation which is very dodgy - this one is close to botanical garden, with straight way to city centre and not dodgy at all! Bed was so comfortable that after the day of sightseeing I would just fall asleep way ahead of time, like 8 in the evening. Bathroom was clean. It is an overall great hotel, with amazing location and old school charm!

I didnt love the breakfast, it was still solid but if you have some dietary restriction you might want to check with the hotel ahead as the options were traditional and limited. Overall still good value for money.
