Thank you, Ibis Hotel Hamburg! I arrived in Hamburg early in the morning by ferry from Malmö. Although the check-in time was at 3:00 PM, I was already at the hotel by 7:00 AM. Two hours before my arrival, I had messaged the hotel saying that I was very tired and kindly asked for early check-in. The staff were understanding and kind — they welcomed me at 8:00 AM without any extra charge. Thank you so much for your hospitality! I truly appreciate your care. I wish your company continued growth and success. From now on, whenever I travel, I will choose Ibis hotels!

Good location, close to train station but also Alster lake. The night it rained and thundered, the hotel receptionist helped us to order in pizza delivery (we don't speak German) and was very cheerful and helpful

We had breakfast in the hotel one morning. We did not know we should have booked it the night before, I feel there should have been some info in the paperwork for me so that I knew we should do that. We had the breakfast believing it was €15 pp, as stated in my paperwork (through Booking.com). When we settled the bill on check-out we found it was €19 per person. This is a big increase (around 25%!) and I feel I should have been made aware of it before choosing to have it. We don't think the breakfast was worth that much money.

I made 2 separate bookings for 2 nights in a row when they were pretty full. Staff worked hard so I could stay in same room both nights AND away from elevator so it would be quiet. Great location, easy walk from central train station. Important to me that staff was at front desk to check in and out. Staff very helpful and friendly. It was very valuable to me that I could store my bags for the day before checking in late afternoon. Rooms clean, beds comfortable, have all you need. Area seemed safe. Cost not bad for central Hamburg.

I don't like that the listing did not tell you that when you check in, you must give them your birthdate to get your room. That would have been a deal breaker for me if I had known it when I booked. There is way too much data collection going on here. Birthdate is not necessary to recover damages customers may do. What good reason is there to demand it? They already have our credit card number, etc. IBIS: you owe it to us to tell us this BEFORE we book the stay!

I really loved the hotel overall—stylish rooms, a comfortable bed, and a practical location made for a great stay.

To be honest, considering the stay at this hotel wasn’t inexpensive, I would have appreciated if luggage storage on the day of departure had been offered free of charge. Charging €2 for lockers felt a bit out of place and unnecessarily cost-conscious for an otherwise high-standard experience.

Overall cleanliness. The spacious and clean bathroom. The comfortable bed, sheets, and towels. The double doors that keep out the noise from the hallway. This is my second time in Ibis ( the first was in Berlin ) and both experiences were outstanding.

The slow elevator at this particular Ibis. But I am nitpicking. Overall not much.

This is not a fancy, luxury hotel. However, it is a crisp, clean, modern, value for money, hotel. The staff were excellent, helpful at all times. The breakfast had a good choice of food (cooked, cereals, yoghurts, cold meats and cheese, breads and pastries, fruit etc) Location was excellent, the nearby street 'Lange Reihe' had a large range of types of restaurants (with a full range of prices as well). It felt a very safe and chilled area.

excellent location, only 10 min to train station and to the Alster, very friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English, checking in and out was smooth, could leave our luggage at reception after checked out until we travelled which was helpful, clean, room was nice and comfortable, good value for money considering being in the centre of Hamburg

the lift was playing up some times - it did not respond to our electronic room key and always took us a level higher, railway tracks nearby meant a constant noise level if the window was opened (however, with the window shut the noise was not noticeable)

The room was very quiet, despite the train line nearby. I could see a nice big tree outside, which was nice. Room was very clean, everything worked. The staff was helpful -- usually I have issues with getting an invoice, here they made it right away -- thanks Bogdan! I didn't have breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. But they have coffee machine (2EUR) downstairs, with normal mugs that you can take to your room, instead of paper ones. I liked that.

Since I should complain on something, let it be. One night I stopped by at the bar in the lobby to grab a beer, but the barman didn't seem happy... But it's just nothing really.

The location is perfect. It's close to the train station, also to the Alster, to Jungfernstieg. At the same time, it's located on a quite street. The hotel had bike places in the garage which for me is a huge bonus. The room is the perfect size for a short stay. The breakfast was nice and cozy.

To be honest, I can't think of something that made a negative impression on me. Given this central location and the affordability of the hotel, I don't think the hotel lacks anything essential.
