The property is modern, meticulous, clean and in a great location; a moderate walk from the old town. The breakfast was abundant and excellent quality. There was some confusion with our booking, and we were certain we had breakfast included in the rate but on check-out, were compelled to pay $168AUD. We encourage new travellers to check this component carefully especially if you are travelling from Australia where the exchange rate is abysmal. Also, we asked for supplies to be replenished in our room eg coffee pods, milk, water but this was not provided. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and rooms were clean and comfortable and despite some added costs, it was a lovely hotel and staff were hospitable and helpful

The advertised restaurant open until 23:00 was not a restaurant but a bar with bar snacks only, we have planned our trip around arrival after 21:00 after a long 6h drive with knowing that Germany does close kitchens around 21:00 for food orders. We were excited that this hotel offers food up until 23:00 which was the reason we have choosen to stay here above other options. But after all even we had to walk to the near by petrol station to get food, the room and breakfast room and quality of breakfast food deserves a return trip and a praise to NH hotels. If only there could be a way that food could be served for guests arriving late , this is a constant issue in Germany when travelling from the UK by car.

Nice, clean, quiet and comfortable room, super friendly and attentive service, great location in the heart of town, with walking distance to the scenic and touristy parts of Heidelberg. This hotel has a modest front, but spacious interior. I was put in the "historical wing" of the hotel, with limited access by lift, but no worry, there are young staff with strong arms to help me with my suitcase :-). Soon after checking in, I received a visit from their guest relations manager, who brought a large bottle of mineral water, a small box of chocolates and a coupon for drinks at their bar. She also booked the airport shuttle for me - well, basically one can trouble her for any needs. The room itself, I believe, is newly renovated, with crispy clean bedding, soft, fluffy and shining white towels (very important for yours truly). If you don't mind walking, exit the hotel, turn right, and one can easily walk to the old town, to either climb up to the castle (by cable car) or wander across the old bridge to tread the "Philosopher's Walk", or both. And you'd walk past dozens of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, creameries ... one won't ever go hungry! I booked my room with breakfast. It's a decent-sized buffet, with every possible option for a Western breakfast - cold cuts, hot dishes, soft boiled eggs (one should eat it out of the cute egg cup provided nearby), salads, muesli, fruits, desserts, and lots and lots of breads, with packets of butter and individually jarred condiments (peanut butter, jam, honey, etc). There is a wide range of leafy tea selection, as well as coffee, juices and other drinks. One can also order a-la-carte omelets, eggs Benedict, French toast and Shakshouka etc., at no extra charge. I've been to many 5-star hotels, and this one truly deserves its star rating!

the room was large and comfortable and clean. There were free bottles of water provided for each of us. We also received a certificate fro 2 free cocktails in our room! The hotel was a pretty short walk from the train station and about an equally short walk to the old city.

Our room was right across from a city utility site. When we opened our windows there was quite a bit of noise coming from the facility. This meant we had to keep our windows closed which was a bit disappointing, but the air conditioning worked well and all was good.

The hotel is great, modern but in an old factory. The common area is beautiful. Not very far from the old town and train station. Close to some nice restaurants. Thanks for the free bottle of water every day. They put all my family in the same floor.

The offer a promotion for not making the room in exchange of a drink. It's sad that it's only one drink when the reservations were for two people. Very strict on that, it has not much sense. The staff was a bit cold with us.

There was a wide variety of teas to choose from at breakfast, and the roasted vegetables were delicious. The hotel staff were all very friendly. The air conditioning in the room worked very well during the summer. The hotel lobby offered special lemon and mint water, which was a very thoughtful touch on hot summer days.

The room we stayed in had scaffolding outside the window, which made the view very poor. Also, the toilets on both the third floor and the basement had very weak flushing.

Everything was wonderful. Christian was great at check in and treated us so well. Our room was super clean, large and the bed was very comfortable. Best of all was the breakfast buffet. Delicious! They also treated our dog like family. Would definitely recommend!

Not as close to city center as I would have liked but it that was minor compared to how great our experience was.

Very large family room, very helpful and friendly staff despite not speaking German, breakfast was amazing.

Not the cheapest but felt we got service and standard and location for the money. Parking is underground and we had a high vehicle but the staff sorted something out for us easily, that might be an issue if there happened to be lots of high vehicles visiting at once as most central Heidleberg parking is underground.

Large well-appointed room with a nice bathroom. The whole hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. We parked our hire car in the hotel's underground car park which is an additional cost - this is fine but for a nice hotel like this I'd normally expect this to be included for free especially as it's their exclusive car park.

Our room was a little warm even with the slightly noisy aircon running, this was fine as it wasn't a particularly hot weekend but could be an issue if the weather was warmer. It's a decent 30 min walk to the old town of Heidelberg, this wasn't a problem for us but worth mentioning.
