The room was very large and newly decorated. It was just like the pictures on the website. The breakfast was very nice, quite simple but very enjoyable

We were told by the gentleman at reception that the rooms for booking.com visitors are not in the hotel. The hotel seems to have taken over an apartment in an apartment block and converted it into 4 hotel rooms. This was across the road and up an ally The view out of the only window looked out on the small very scruffy carpark of this block. The approach and entrance to this room was very scruffy and felt very isolated and although inside the decor was good and as the picture on website it was not at all what we expected when we booked. As it was NOT in the hotel

Lovely located, nice staff, excellent breakfast

Many rules and menaces what will happen when rules ignored inside the hotel.

First I was looking for a hotel closer to downtown Koblenz, but I am happy I chose Kleiner Riesen. From the café/breakfast room we could see the locals jogging and walking their dogs on the promenade along the Rhine and admire the big cargo ships passing by on the river. It was quiet during the night, and the beds were good. I liked the way the rooms were designed. The glass wall separating the sleeping area from the bath room adds a certain lightness and lets the daylight into the bathroom. Even if it was a single room there was a balcony large enough for a small table and a chair, and in the distance one could glimpse the castle Stolzenfels!

Possible improvements: Free parking and maybe a croissant in the breakfast buffet.

The location is actually quite good. It's easy to park, and it's only a 10-minute walk to the old city. The room was spacious, the breakfast was good with a nice view over the river. The beds were actually really good and quiet so we slept well!

The staff is mostly international with little German or English and most of them seemed very inexperienced. No effort was made to ask if we actually enjoyed breakfast or our stay, let alone help us find our way around Koblenz. The hotel is definitely dated, it's clean, but everything is seventies.

Good location, with a lovely view of the Rhine. Easy to park there for a cost of 12 euros, although there was cheaper on road parking, which the hotel staff did tell us about. The room was large with a balcony overlooking the Rhine. In easy walking distance of the old town, where we went for dinner( the hotel doesn't have a restaurant)

Nothing to really dislike. The only thing that let it down for us was breakfast. We were asked what time we would go for breakfast, when we got there at 9am, the buffet was seriously depleted. We asked for eggs which were replenished , but choice wasn't as good as other hotels we'd stayed in Germany. Also the hotel is closed at 11pm, so not possible to have a late night drink.

This was a wonderful stay for our 2 nights in Koblenz. Very close to where we wanted to tour in the Moselle Valley and the Rhine Valley. We had two rooms, one in the hotel and one in the additional building which was just around the corner. Beautiful rooms! The breakfast each morning was really great, with a lovely view of the river. We walked along the river both evenings on our way to dinner. The staff were very nice and there to make sure that you have everything you need to have a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again!

Patrick Baumgarten is a super hero!!! My friend lost her cell phone while cycling along the Mosel. Some kind person found it and turned it in to the hotel they were staying at. Patrick coordinated a taxi ride to the hotel for us, had the chef prepare food for us to take on the taxi ride (since we had arrived late at the hotel) and poured a beer for us to drink as he carried our luggage and escorted us to our rooms!! I have never experienced that outstanding level of customer service anywhere in the world!!! Well done Patrick!!

We were at a wedding that went very well. All our guests enjoyed the Hotel and loved Koblenz. When we visit again we will stay at this Hotel

One of our party required Gluten Free food that you said you could not provide. You should be able to accommodate this. It is not difficult to do. We travel to lots of countries to small Hotels and they manage it.

Beautiful location one block from river A bit of a hike to get there from train station but was worth it

A bit of a walk pulling a suitcase from train station and we didn't figure out how to get our suitcases in except up the stairs- once inside we discovered there is a ramp not at all obvious- would recommend a sign on the front door notifying people of other options to get it with suitcases!!!

Charming hotel next to the Rhine River. The breakfast area, which I think also serves as a bar, had lovely views. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We parked on the street for just fifty cents per hour.

The shower is a bit tight, so it may not be ideal for larger guests. I would recommend the hotel to install blackout curtains on the room terrace door, because the early morning sun woke me up at 6 AM.
