An Absolute Gem I'm Reluctant to Share! Honestly, I'm tempted to write a terrible review just to keep this place a secret. My primary fear is that if word gets out about how phenomenal this hotel is, it will be perpetually sold out, and I'll never get to stay here again on my travels. So, for my own selfish reasons, please disregard everything I'm about to say. Our arrival was... eventful. As a modern, tech-savvy family, we were ready for the "no-desk / self-check-in" experience. The only problem was that the universe (and the email server) had other plans. No confirmation email meant no access code. We found ourselves standing outside, luggage in hand, staring at a door that was decidedly not opening. I braced myself for an ordeal and dialled the support number. The lady who answered the phone was nothing short of a miracle worker. She was extraordinarily prompt, exquisitely professional, and radiated a helpfulness that immediately put us at ease. In what felt like mere seconds, she resolved our predicament, and we were in. The only remaining wrinkle was an additional hold placed on my credit card, on top of the booking.com payment. The next morning, we met Martin at the reception, a true gentleman and a master of hospitality. He listened to our situation with genuine empathy, apologized for the inconvenience, and solved the payment issue with such grace and efficiency that he didn't just fix the problem—he completely saved the day. And then there was the breakfast. Let me be clear: after 40 days of eating my way across Europe, from Lisbon to Vienna, this was hands-down the best breakfast of the entire trip. It wasn't just food; it was a culinary experience. To top it all off, the mattress was divinely comfortable, and the entire hotel was immaculately clean.

If I could rate this hotel 20 stars out of 10, I would. So, please, do me a personal favour and book somewhere else. I hear the other hotels in the area are... adequate. But if you're willing to risk it and have one of the most pleasant hotel stays of your life, orchestrated by a team of absolute legends, then, by all means, book a room. You won't regret it—but I might when I can't get a reservation next year!

Good evening! As usual in recent years, in the fall I came to visit the city of Passau. (we have been coming for 18 years, every year). In the last 3 years, I came to this hotel in the apartment on the ground floor because I appreciated the fact that it has an exit in front of the apartment, in the garden and it is very quiet. The apartment was spacious, clean and we felt very comfortable in it... we stayed in the afternoon after coming from a walk, with a lot of pleasure in the garden to relax in the fresh air.. The breakfast was very good...and when I say that, it really was. Congratulations to the hotel management, as well as the entire staff! Everything was very good, including the fact that the parking lot was in the hotel yard. We liked the location, we liked the city (as usual, we also took a walk along the banks of the Danube and the Inn river. Congratulations to the hotel management and congratulations to all the hotel staff!

Everything met my expectations. It is not the first time I have stayed at this property, and it will not be the last time.

Disappointing breakfast. I don't have anything that we have to pay for breakfast, but I want to have more choices of options and not have to ask the waiters to replenish what's finished from the self-service area every time. Very, very small offer for breakfast, which diminishes the excellent experience with the accommodation

Every year since 2006, we come in autumn to visit the city of Passau because we like it very much. I stayed in a comfortable apartment, on the ground floor with an exit to a small terrace with a table and two chairs. It was nice to spend the evening outside in front of the apartment. The staff at the reception was very kind. The breakfast was very good and varied. The meatballs were very good. I liked that there was also watermelon and melon as fresh fruits. The coffee was very good.

The door to the terrace had a strange way to open it...you had to push/press it, then turn a small knob...this was difficult...it didn't have a normal handle...but the person from the reception from the afternoon program (a young man) was very kind and helped us several times with great kindness. We thank him!

The hotel offered clean and comfortable rooms with the added benefit of secure locked parking. The self-service check-in process was efficient and convenient.

Access to the reception area could occasionally be challenging due to other guests. Dining options were limited on-site, with the nearest restaurants around a 10-minute walk away.

Front desk staff friendly. Good grocery store with a short walk has seating areas for eating. Brick oven pizza at Padu, across the street, was very good.

Small room on noisy street, above parking lot with tables for smokers and loud talkers late into the night. Frequent ambulance sirens. Beware of weekday loud road construction. Room: basic: no tea kettle, no fridge, and one plastic glass for two people, stained carpet. Saw bottles of water on housekeeping cart, but wasn’t included in our room. If you want breakfast, book ahead because price is prohibitive onsite. Given quotes of 14-17e pp. Bottom line: would try somewhere else. Note to cyclists: hotel is 2k uphill from the train station.

Clean and air-conditioned. Very convenient with an online check-in system that allows you to check in at any time after the announced time. Good location..

It would be nice if the outdoor parking was bigger, as we had a box on top of the car and the underground one didn't work for us. Also the single beds were a bit narrow...

I've liked that they have a digital check-in thing wich was fun to play with and do it myself, the staff was friendly, the room (family room) was super ok value for money.

The location was a little bit strange, maybe because it was a bad neighbourhood of Passau?

We liked everything. Location is very quiet but still easily reachable from the city center. The first time we took a taxi which cost 10 EU, there are also several bus lines passing through but we preferred to take a stroll along the river and it took about twenty minutes to be in the center. Our apartment was very clean, with very comfortable beds, big bathroom with a bathtub, outside terrace, electrical kettle, selection of teas and coffe to prepare. Breakfast was absolutely great too. And there is a very nice Italian pizza/pasta restaurant just across the street.

Good budget hotel with friendly staff . Secure underground parking and good breakfast buffet

The rooms are outdated and there were some stains on the walls . Given the fact that the price wasn’t astronomical I would still recommend it if you’re looking for a budget friendly stay in the area.
