Great view, sturdy blankets, it has everything you need. I'll stay there again in a few months. The bathroom is separate and in my case shared but there's not many units sharing the same facilities so it's fine, everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and they had mosquito nets. I usually don't care about views but in this case it was amazing, it's like you're floating in the river!

No sockets next to the bed, they were next to the door by the table. The access to the parking lot is an extremely narrow underpass that's actually just a bike lane. They went out of their way to mark it and put signs that you can drive through that but I still didn't dare, there aren't that many spaces available anyway. You need to type in the parking garage on the opposite site on Google maps, otherwise it tells you you arrived on the street one level above! I knew that it wasn't right beforehand but there were no separate instructions anywhere how to navigate to the hotel. It cost 12 € for not even 11 hours.

It's the second time I stay at Rotel Inn! Being located next to the train station makes it convenient for those arriving to Passau by train. What I appreciate the most it's the cleaness - even though the toilets are shared, they are always clean.

I tried the breakfast one morning and it is not worth the value. It was on a Sunday, so not many places were open nearby, so it was the ultimate solution. Also, you could easily hear the noise from other rooms. For example, at night I was able to hear people snoring, while in the early morning, I could hear the staff cleaning the rooms, or people taking phone calls, which was pretty anmoying.

We considered this accommodation for one night to be a very economical and undemanding option, but in the end it was unexpectedly comfortable and pleasant, definitely better than we expected. The room is really tiny, but two people can sleep comfortably on the bed without any problems. The bathrooms are shared, but there are many of them, and practically every room has its "own" bathroom just opposite the hallway. The room and bathroom we tried were perfectly clean. The room furnishings are very basic: a bed, a narrow table with a pull-out seat, some shelves, and hooks for clothes. There is a small towel in the room, and you can pick up a large bath towel in the hallway where they are stored. We deliberately did not try the breakfast, as there are several grocery stores nearby. Storing our luggage after check-out was no problem. We arrived by train, but the hostel is located directly on the Danube Cycle Path, so I can imagine that it must be an excellent choice for cyclists accustomed to modest conditions. The low price corresponds to the modest conditions, but even so, it is a hotel with a good price/performance ratio. I really appreciate the view of the Danube and the insect screens on the windows, which allowed us to ventilate the room all night. The common areas were also very pleasant - a terrace overlooking the Danube and various nooks with comfortable seats.

Given the concept of the hotel, the small size of the rooms (almost cabins) and their simple furnishings cannot be considered a negative. You just have to expect this. Travelers who demand comfort and high standards would probably be dissatisfied.

The location was great, and price was fantastic compared to other stopovers in the area.

This is a budget stopover, akin to a hostel. You share your bathroom with others, there are sufficient bathrooms. The rooms are the width of a bed. The whole living area is very dark. If you want a cheap one night stop, then this is your place. The description was open, and I should have known what i was getting, I have graded as I have because I feel that the whole place felt a bit dirty, smelt strange and appeared ready for a revamp. We didn't pay for breakfast, we had a quick look at what was on offer, and it didn't look to be good value for money.

Great location, near the train station and 10 minutes away from the city center. Staff very friendly, especially when it came to sorting out my parking (when I arrived, it was full). Internet worked pretty well. Despite the small size of the room, there was a (small) desk. Useful. Toilets and bathrooms are of a normal size (particularly when compared with the size of the bedrooms). They are shared, but they were always clean Good value for money

The cubicle bedroom is extremely small. The width of the room is basically the width of the bed. If you travel with a quite big suitcase, you will probably struggle to open it, unless you put the suitcase on the bed of course. Breakfast for 10 euros was perhaps too basic for the price.

It is such a great concept - to give (single) visitors a clean place to sleep near the train station at such an affordable price. The bathrooms are plenty and all clean, the room is just what one needs- much better than a capsule, the location is perfect- by the river and a train station. Wi-Fi worked great. Fortunately, I didn’t have too many issues with noise from neighbors, but I can see how it could happen. The window had a burnet, so no mosquitos, but a nice river‘s murmur. I wish such kind of hotel were in every big city.

I wish there would be more hotels like this one - I was travelling by bicycle along the Danube and spent one night in Passau. First of all the hotel location is very convenient: close to the city-center, very close to the main train station and yet in a quiet area with view on the Danube. When arriving by bicycle in Passau I found the hotel by accident before even I started to actually look for it, since it is directly on the way for bicycles (Donauradweg). The site staff was very friendly and there is a secured garage for bikes that you can access anytime with a code and with a button to call the reception. I had a single room with everything that I needed. Of course the rooms are very small but that is part of the concept of this hotel: ideal for people spending 1-2 nights in Passau when travelling on foot, by bicycle or with another small vehicle. The prices in this hotel are low and probably among the cheapest ones of the city. The shared bathrooms/toilets were very clean. Maybe I was lucky and the hotel was not full (although I was there on a sunny saturday night), it is probably a bit more complicated when the hotel is full, therefore potentially noisy and with difficulties to find free bathrooms. But on that night it was not the case, I had a very nice sleep and there were plenty of available bathrooms anytime I needed one. As I was tired and like to sleep in total silence I slept with earplugs - but the night was probably very silent anyway. If I travel again by bicycle to Passau I would definitely book there again. Thanks to the staff!

Difficult to find negative aspects. This is of course this kind of hotel where you go to when you wish to save some money. If you wish to spent a fancy weekend in Passau with a lot of comfort, you may prefer booking a more expensive hotel. Otherwise this hotel is the place to go - cheap and yet very central with friendly staff.

Ubicación perfecta para ir con bicicleta, justo en el camino para bicis al lado del Danubio. Perfect location to go with bikes as it is right next to the Danube's bike path. Comfortable single room for short stays in which people are mainly out but need some solo time in the room. Bathroom super close to the room so it is comfortable. Open air terrace next to the Danube is just perfect!! And breakfast/common room also convenient and calm to work remotely from there with views to de Danube.

Room could have better hangers or clothes racks. They have only small racks but big items like towels cannot really be hanged because they fall down.

Rotel Inn was exactly as described on your website and perfectly answered my need for a place to break my journey before an early morning start. I travelled solo. The location is beautiful, my room looked out onto the Danube. It’s a five minute walk from the railway station and a slightly longer walk (about 15 minutes) along the riverside bicycle path to the town centre. The room was very comfortable indeed for one small and fairly agile person (you have to clamber onto the bed), good bed, opening window with insect screen (no insects in sight on this occasion), spotless toilets and shower opposite. Reception staff was very helpful, atmosphere is welcoming. I would be happy to use Rotel Inn whenever I visit Passau, one of my favourite cities.

Nothing at all. I didn’t try the breakfast. It’s made perfectly clear on the booking form that the bed takes up more than half of the room space from wall to wall, this was no problem for me - indeed, having just spent a few nights in a tent I found it positively luxurious! - but two people might struggle, not so much with the bed itself but with the lack of space to manoeuvre in the rest of the room. Especially if they are tall and well built. But, as I say, the photos are very honest.

The room size is small and basic. The place is clean, the staff is great, location perfect. Place to hold bike for overnight. For the price and location and being clean it was great. Big area for sitting to eat or drink.

Room is small but sufficient for what needs are. A person is not in room much when travel.
