+ Great location. Literally a few meters from the shopping mall and a few minutes of walking from train station. The room was very well designed and the day I arrived , house technician came and installed a new TV. The price is uncompetitive. Self check in and check out works well and guidances from the hotel staff were clear. The mattresses were very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. - My carpet wasn’t fully clean. Looked like somebody was eating a bread on it before I came. On the window’s stool was dirty napkin. There was an option to do checkout and leave the baggage till 18 o clock of the check out day in the hotel so I used this opportunity. When I came back around 14:40, the front doors from the street were locked and I couldn’t enter even after entering the code. There was another man at the moment who wanted to leave his baggage there and do check in later, but for him it wasn’t working either. Then luckily appeared a man who had a key and opened for us. So I am not pretty sure if the doors from the street should be closed or not or if the system was broken.

Segafredo capsule coffee machine in room with 3 different capsules, a bottle of mineral water which were replaced every day or as wished. Cleaning comes every day. Bathroom with toilet was clean, 3 pieces of towels. Price-value ratio is appropriate.

The radiator was not heating, it was ice-cold all time. The room could be a little more warmer. There is a rim on the wall around the bed which is very dusty, it might be always forgotten to clean.

The check-in was smooth. Instructions were sent in advance and were clear. There was a garage to store our bicycles. The room was clean except for a few spiders in the corners. The location was right in the center. Definitelly a nice place worth the money.

Spiders inthe corners made the first impression of cleanness worse. The mattresses and pillows were quite soft. There wasn't really a good place to park right next to the door. There is however a parking garage nearby.

Lovely room which was very comfortable and suited our needs. Very well located in central Passau and easy to explore from the place. The check in machine, which provided keys and allowed them to be deposited at check out was unusual. We only saw one member of staff, a cleaner, in the morning as we were leaving.

There was a coffee maker, and coffee supplies, but nothing for tea drinkers. No where to go to find more supplies when the small amount in the room ran out.

My son and I walked from Passau railway station to Hotel Herdegen which was a very straightforward walk. We had received excellent check-in instructions so checking-in was not an issue for us. The location is very good as a base to explore Passau and located near to the railway station. The room itself was fine for us - we were only here for 1 night. It was comfortable enough and the bed linen, towels, etc were clean. The checkout was 11:00 which was great for us. That was a plus!

For the price I was happy with the room.

The self-check in/out with the code worked perfectly! No more worries about arriving in the middle of the night. It was easy to handle, everything was marked, I could find my room easily. The room was clean, well maintained, with amenities I didn’t even expect for this rate. Great location too. Right on the rim of the pedestrian zone, so you can go immediately shopping, sight seeing or a have a brunch in the city. It is in walking distance to the train station, but there are several parking possibilities in the surrounding too.

Inexpensive. Good location. Extended my stay by two nights, the process was easy and smooth.

No air conditioning, though a fan helped. Generally a bit worn out place but fortunately clean. At least room 19 had some occasional machine noise going on. Pillow was way too soft offering no support at all. However, this seems to be a common feature in German hotels, so it might be the way Germans actually want their pillows.

I stayed here for 3 nights. The single room is small but very tidy and quiet. The bed and shower were comfortable and the coffee maker worked well. Every morning the number of coffee capsules was refilled. The self-registration system was convenient. You also need to checkout automatically before 11 am. I went to the checkout box at 11:01, so it didn't work. As it was cleaning time I found the cleaning lady and gave her the key, she said she would check me out.

As almost everywhere in Passau, the hotel did not have air conditioning. There is no fridge or minibar in the room. The pillow was filled with feathers, some people like it, but I'm allergic. So the cleaning lady gave me an extra blanket to put it on to avoid contact.

The place is very well located, close to the University and the bus and train station. Ideal for short stays, clean and pleasant. There is no contact with staff, but the instructions on how to access the room are clear and they were delivered to the email one day before the reservation.

The wifi instructions are in the elevator, maybe they could include this information in the instructions email or in a brochure in the room.

Whilst the hotel is centrally located and close to very cheap parking, it is beside a significant construction project which looks like it will take a LONG time to complete (see photo taken from our hotel room). Check in was easy and self explanatory. No refrigerator in the room BUT I found a very helpful staff member who allowed me to use the staff's refrigerator to store some medicine that needed refrigeration.
