The ambiance is a mixture between the old fashioned stylish bar and the more modern rooms. You see a mixture of guests here which is nice. Sport facilities is outside the hotel in an external gym bit those guys are great! Hotel gave me a bottle of water and a towel. Great! Breakfast staff was nice and helpful. Quality dishes

They where doing construction work but decided 07:00 on a Saturday morning was a great time to start drilling. This might be legal and such but in a place which calls itself “royal” you would expect they pay attention to this and wait for a moment later on the day.

I'd recommend the hotel, provided you book a larger type room - looks like the single rooms are less attractive. Yes the reception area is more "Swiss Alpine" than urban chic, but it works! Location is very good, at one end of a long road through all the shops and squares that ends with the rail station. Stadtmitte train station is close to the hotel. The S2 connects to airport - easy! Room was spacious, well ventilated (April). Staff were excellent, daily refresh of room & towels if needed. New mineral water daily. Biscuits in the room, good bathroom, very clean and a huge TV.

1.Memory foam matress makes you hot. 2. If you have windows open the Irish bar and a small sports bar next door makes some noise until 1am at weekends. Double glazing shuts out the noise. 3.Portable showerhead was great but the massive overhead 'forest rain' head didin't work. 4. The hotel evening food menu, it was a little niche, fine dining. However, there are loads of great restaurants and bars locally and in the city.

We had 3 rooms. All comfort rooms, very modern and nice. One room had huge walk in shower, all looked brand new. Parking was ok. Breakfast was nice. Hotel bar was good. Not sure why other people complained about the traditional hotel key… I liked it! Better than a key card which erases near magnet! Hotel has 24h reception and you can leave your key with them if it’s too difficult to carry! The service we received was good, similar to a Hilton.

AC not working in one room but we didn’t give hotel change to remedy the issue, so I cannot complain in my review!

This hotel is a great combination of location, comfort and value. When I visit Stuttgart I like to stay in Stadtmitte, and this hotel is within sight of the entrance to the Stadtmitte S-Bahn, which makes it very convenient, and easily walkable to the main pedestrian zone and shopping. There are also some great restaurants, bakeries and pubs nearby, so the location is perfect. The hotel itself is very comfortable, with a good-sized room, nice bed, and decent-sized bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful, and given the location, the hotel is a good value. I will stay here again.

Was not a fan of the giant clunky actual key, and hope they upgrade to key-cards soon. Since there were two of us but only one key, we would leave the key at the front desk like in some 1960s movie when I headed to work and my spouse headed into town for fun. Granted, that was only a minor annoyance, but still, not what I would expect.

Great location in Stuttgart, within walking distance of pretty much everything around the downtown / city center. They have private parking in the back of the hotel (22€ per night) which is super convenient when you have a stroller and suitcases. Both the front desk and breakfast staff were friendly. The breakfast was really good with a variety of cooked meats, scrambled and boiled eggs, and sorted other fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads, yogurt, ect.

The room key was quite heavy and bulky, breakfast and parking both cost extra, and it took a little bit to replace hot food items at breakfast after they ran out.

The hotel is well located near public transport and to the city centre with the Christmas markets. Communication from the hotel was good in advance and throughout the check in process. The room and bathroom were a decent size. Welcome note and treat in the room were a nice touch.

We were a little surprised there were no coffee or tea making facilities in the room. Would have been aware had we read all the details but had assumed this was standard. We happened to visit when there were protests going on locally and the hotel rightly secured/locked the front door. However when we returned we waited a long time for anyone to open the front door - we had to press the door bell and wait.

This was the best location. Close to lots of shopping and a quick walk to Schlossplaza and the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice to have loaner umbrellas available! Don’t let the plain exterior deceive you, very nice inside!

The breakfast was simple and limited with not all items were refilled when they ran out. The gym is offsite but only a couple minute walk away. It was hard to keep the water from going everywhere in the shower but it had great pressure and was plenty warm.

Nice renovation. Room big enough and luxurious. 33 years ago, when I stayed, it was dark red brown romantic and cozy. I noticed some rooms were still in this decor as I walked by. However, it depends on your taste. Breakfast was sufficient and good, and the dining room was lovely. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The outside of the hotel is more austere 1960s business building architecture. Don't let it or the tiny entry full you. It's quaint and lovely inside. Elevator and stairs are available. The 3 possibilities to park for a price are behind the building, difficult to find, and not signposted. The underground parking may be difficult for larger cars to navigate. There is a laminated direction sheet on the check-in counter, but the directions are needed before you arrive or better signage outside when one does find it.

The hotel was situated in a great location just a very short walk from the centre of Stuttgart. The room was nice and the staff seemed happy to be of assistance.

The Air-conditioning was broken which was a shame. The bathroom seemed a little dated and the shower, although it is nice to be powerful, felt like a jet wash on my skin! This made it difficult to regulate the temperature as it was only half turned on.

Great customer service, where they were able to meet and address all queires - and also went an extra mile to make sure our stay was comfortable. Very happy with the agreement they had with the nearby Fitness First gym, as it enabled lovely facilities to access. Pillows and beds were comfortable, room was clean, and the his-and-her sinks were a big win in the bathrooms

The breakfast service could be more forthcoming that they also prepare/cook eggs for you as you request. All we were asked was coffee - and only on my last day did I discover this when another customer requested it. The gym pass could also be updated, as it wasnt working during our stay, but gym staff helpfully let us in.
