Located along the upper alleys below the eastern bastion of the Acropolis, there can hardly be a better position for an apartment to - be out of the hot afternoon sun - be closest to the best Tavernas and Ouzerias of acropolian Athens - be within a few minutes walk to the southern entrance of the Acropolis (to avoid the crowd) - be at < 5 Minutes walk to all sites (except Hadrian’s Gate & the Olympian Zeus temple (18 Minutes).

We stayed in the roomy 2 bedroom apt. which had a lot of space and a kitchen. While in the middle of the bustling Plaka area, it was super quiet inside the apt. We especially liked the rooftop deck.

The towels aren't replaced daily unless you pay a fee.

We stayed in Room 1 on ground level with an entrance on side street. What it lacked in view was made up for simply walking into a cool room from the 34C street. (Though the air conditioner does not run while you are gone.) Four flights of stairs will give you an amazing view. We were literally around the corner from the most photographed street and the north entrance to the Acropolis. All that you need is available to make a simple meal and the French press was perfect to take to the roof for morning coffee. 20 steps away was a breakfast restaurant- if you prefer. Go to Zorbes for dinner the mixed grill will make other jealous!

The location was absolutely perfect! Nestled along a quiet street, but just steps away from the lively Plaka neighborhood, and about 2 short blocks from the magical Plaka stairs with all the restaurants tucked into the mountainside leading up to the Acropolis. This neighborhood has EVERYTHING. Charming narrow streets, restaurants, shops. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Acropolis. And you can get to the bustling Monastiraki neighborhood as well in about 10 minutes by foot. The apartment was spotless. And perhaps the best part was the host - Sakis!! He was so helpful with everything, and gave GREAT local recommendations. Thank you!!! I highly recommend this property. I'll definitely return.

Nothing. It was perfect!

The location is unbeatable. It was an easy walk to the sites, dining and shopping and the view from the rooftop is amazing. Sakis is a wonderful host that met us upon arrival and suggested wonderful options for dining in the area. We would definitely book here again.

There was nothing to not like. Do know that the Plaka area is very old and this building is also old so while it's very well maintained, some modern conveniences such as an elevator are not available. This wasn't an issue for us at all and it was good to get some additional stair climb in.

Sakis both called and texted us once we landed and met us at the property as soon as we parked even though it was pretty late in the day. He arranged parking and walked us to a place to eat just around the corner. We were pretty tired, but it was an AMAZING start to our vacation. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything around Plaka. Even though it's near so many busy taverns, the room was still pretty quiet. The view from the patio is beautiful, it overlooks a 12th. c church and of course the Acropolis wall up there! The room is simply furnished (we stayed at Apollo I believe) but very clean and it had everything we needed, small fridge, kettle and utensils. Sakis is an incredible host and we were so happy to stay there. Ευχαριστώ poli ❤️

Our recent stay at Acro&Polis, hosted by the gracious Sakis, was an absolute delight and exceeded our expectations in every way. Sakis's exceptional hospitality, particularly towards my elderly uncle with low vision, made our Athens getaway truly memorable. Upon our arrival, Sakis demonstrated incredible consideration by recommending a suite on the first floor instead of the originally assigned second-floor suite with a marble spiral staircase. This thoughtful gesture ensured ease of access for my uncle, emphasizing Sakis's commitment to guest comfort and well-being. The recommended suite turned out to be a haven of cleanliness, space, and comfort, offering a perfect blend of convenience and luxury. The location in Plaka was nothing short of amazing and surpassed all my expectations. Plaka's charm, with its cobblestone streets and old-town ambiance, provided a perfect backdrop for our stay. The proximity to fantastic traditional restaurants and the convenience of having everything within a 10-minute walk made our exploration of the area a true pleasure. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Athens. A special mention goes to the diligent housekeeper (whose name unfortunately escapes me). Her dedication to maintaining the cleanliness of our suite was exceptional. Each morning, we were greeted with a spotless living space, a testament to her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. In conclusion, Acro&Polis, under the attentive care of Sakis, offered not just accommodation but a home away from home in the heart of Athens. The thoughtful accommodations, superb cleanliness, and prime location in Plaka make it the ideal choice for anyone seeking a truly immersive and comfortable experience in this historic city. I wholeheartedly recommend Acro&Polis and look forward to returning for another wonderful stay in the future.

Fantastic central location right next to the Acropolis. Good air conditioning, lovely kind host who was extremely helpful…. Booking a restaurant and a taxi on departure for us which was very much appreciated! Very clean and great comfy beds and good wifi. Would definitely stay here again!

A little tricky to find the hotel but this can easily be avoided by simply asking for the host to arrange for a transfer or taxi to take you straight to the door. Which we hadn’t done! Small bathroom but very functional! Also, we have 2 small kids so this wouldn’t be an issue for all guests but some streaming/ smart TV’s would’ve been really handy as we had 2 tired kids on arrival who just wanted to relax and watch TV before going off exploring the next day. Minor issue… as most don’t want to watch TV when at such an incredible place! Lastly, the power goes out each time you leave the room as you take the room card…. Which means the fridge turns off too…. This was our biggest frustration. I’m not sure if there was a trick to this though!

The location cannot be beaten, It is about mid-way between the Acropolis and the Ancient Agora and a very easy walk to both. The property is in the heart of Plaka (easily the nicest part of Athens), with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops in easy reach, but it is quiet, especially at night. The roof terrace is lovely with stunning views and is a lovely spot to enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down. This was out second stay at the Acro&Polis and we will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Athens. The WiFi is very good and communication with the owner was easy and helpful. Can't recommend this place enough.

We loved our stay here at acro&polis. The location is perfect, in a quiet but not too quiet spot. Walking distance to cafes, shops, acropolis and other ancient sites. Extremely clean and comfortable and Sakis was so friendly and helpful. This property has the most incredible rooftop with views across all of Athens, great for sunset. Highly recommend booking this spot and if we return to Athens this is where we’d stay.
