The room was OK with mostly everything that you need. A balcony with a beautiful view of Acropolis was stunning!

Breakfast. There was no choice for people with dietary restrictions. I could only eat the eggs. The staff could not help me, I don't think they even had any idea about allergens.

The Astor made our stay in Athens better than we hoped! The location was perfect - walking distance to everything you could want or need. The rooftop area with the view of the Acropolis took our breath away. All the staff, from front desk to the bartenders and breakfast crew, were cordial, professional and seemed liked they genuinely cared about our experience. The room was comfortable, spotless and the bathroom shower was lovely. Do not hesitate to get the breakfast included package. The quality and variety of the food was delicious. We loved having a nightcap on the roof gazing over Athens. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

There's nothing not to like!

The hotel has had an upgrade over the last two years incorporating sleek marble finishes and clean lines throughout. The location is 10/10!!! It is literally steps away from Ermou (shopping & restaurants & Cafes galore) which is pretty much the heart of Athens and of course sightseeing is easy from there. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well decorated with comfy beds. The breakfast is substantial and varied with many sweet and savoury options on offer. The view at breakfast is something spectacular, I will describe as jaw dropping. They have opened a rooftop bar space (with a quiet vibe) which was previously only open for breakfast time which is a bonus. This now allows you to enjoy the view in the evenings from the perfect vantage point without having to book an Acropolis view room which is obviously more costly. The 24 hour front desk is always a bonus, as is the accessibility of Taxis at the front entrance making it easy to travel to the airport at a moments notice. I’ve stayed here many times and opted for a smaller room this trip to accommodate for the increased prices due to their refurbishment and I wasn’t disappointed. Definitely recommend.

We would have been thrilled about this had it not been the horrible smell coming out of the bathroom. Also the room was next to the elevator therefore the room had a lot of unwanted noise...

We stayed at this hotel as a group of five friends, and the experience was simply perfect! The location of the hotel was ideal, close to all the main attractions and the best restaurants. The beds were especially comfortable, ensuring us good nights of sleep after full days of activities. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I am very sensitive to noise, and in the middle of the night, I called the reception because it was noisy from the street. The staff changed our room in the middle of the night without any problem, and I am very grateful for that. Additionally, I want to highly commend Lefteris, the receptionist, who helped me a lot by fixing a portable luggage scale and saved us from paying overweight fees at the airport after all the shopping. Thank you so much!

the room at the first floor that is in front of the road - the noise from the road was loud.

Location was great, room was very comfortable and the rooftop bar had the most amazing view of the Acropolis and Parthenon. Staff were friendly and helped us organise a decent taxi driver that didn’t scam us!

This is not a major deal as we fully understand we are in Athens - a vibrant bustling city. We were at the hotel Saturday and Sunday night and the party noise was pretty loud on the streets until really late - about 2am. It didn’t bother us at all as we travel with ear plugs but it bothered our friends so just a heads up. The benefits of this hotel outweighed the noise inconvenience in my opinion.

We loved the breakfast each morning. The coffees were delicious and there was a very nice buffet. Overlooking the acropolis was of course amazing! We loved going up to the roof before dinner and having a drink and watching the sun set. We love that each room we rented had a view of the acropolis. The lobby is also very nice. There is a bar on one side that opens to the street, and there is also a sitting area that was so convenient to met up with our newly-discovered relatives.

The rooftop doesn't actually have a bar, the drinks get ordered from the lobby bar, so when we arrived at 11:45pm for a nightcap on the roof, they sent us downstairs.

Great city hotel in the perfect spot! This is a great city hotel in an amazing location – right in the heart of Athens. The view of the Acropolis is absolutely stunning, probably the best you’ll find anywhere! The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re spacious and comfortable. The staff is super friendly, and the breakfast is varied and tasty. Perfect base for exploring the city on foot. We really enjoyed our stay!

Small downside - that the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. We managed just fine. it might have been because we were on the 7 floor.

The Astor hotel is centrally located in the heart of Athens, walkable from most locations. The hotel is very clean and presentable. The breakfast options were excellent and then view from the top floor restaurant area is excellent. The staff was very courteous and helpful with luggage and concierge services We felt safe walking out late at nights in the neighborhood.

We paid for an Acropolis view room but got an obstructed view from the balcony. The Acropolis was visible only from the far-right corner of the balcony because the rest of the view was blocked by the building across the road. We were in room 702. Any room from 703-710 would've been better. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and did not close properly. Opening the sofa bed left very little room for moving around or even opening out suitcases. Space was limited once the sofa bed was opened. Housekeeping did not close it so the room felt very small.
