The breakfast was absolutely wonderful and when 9:30 strikes, the staff politely ask if you would like to have anything else from the buffet before they remove 😉 this I found very polite and courteous. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and friendly. The location was great too..

I didn't get a chance to stay long through the days so I wasn't able to notice what I didn't like... However I would have loved to have used a nig bed rather than a room with 2 small beds since I was alone but still this wasn't a big problem that I couldn't adjust too... they even charged my room to a better one ...it was wonderful.

The metro and bus are close to the hotel. The hotel staff is friendly. The breakfast was good and fresh. The pool on the roof is great with a beautiful view of the city. The hotel is located in the center of the city. The furniture in the room is a bit old fashioned but for this money this hotel is perfect.Air conditioning helps in the hot nights.A small fridge as well.

For this money I can't complain about anything. One does not want to expect complete perfection for little money. We had clean bed linen, toilet paper, clean towels every morning, delicious and fresh food, a swimming pool on the roof with a beautiful view.

The pictures on booking.com don't do this hotel justice. The hotel is so clean, from the rooms, to the rooftop. The pool was small but the perfect getaway from the streets and sightseeing on hot days (never busy up on the rooftop either so can easily grab a sunbed). The rooftop also has a bar with 360-degree views of Athens, including the acropolis! Beautiful at both day and night. Food on the rooftop is also brilliant.

There wasn't much I didn't like about the Candia. The only thing I would say is the beds are very firm. However, we did go for the standard, basic, room - so this may improve for the better standard doubles.

The hotel was clean and staff nice. Breakfast was very good value as it had a lot of hot and cold options. Location was close to two train stations and about a 10-15 minute walk to the main square and shops. The photo attached is the view from our balcony.

The downside of being close to the train stations is you heard the squeaking of the rails all the time. (Can’t be controlled by the hotel, but if you need quiet, maybe ask to be on the “no view” side. Also, every night from about 10:30pm to 11:30pm, there was a “furniture moving party” that seemed to be happening above us on the 7th floor pool deck area. Not sure what was happening, but again, if you like quiet, ask for a 3rd floor room on the opposite side. But these were small things, the hotel was still good value for what we paid.

The hotel was within close proximity to the Larissa station which was great. There was a pool and lovely rooftop with a bar, where you could see the Acropolis. The rooms were a good size and they had complimentary tea, coffee and water which we really appreciated.

We had read the reviews about the area and so we were aware that it wasn’t the nicest. Having said that we walked at night to find a great Greek restaurant a couple of blocks away and returned late from the station and walked again and had no issues at all. We stayed twice at this hotel and had a superior room the first time and had no issues with noise from the busy road. When we returned we stayed in a comfort room and the traffic noise was very loud which made it difficult to sleep. If staying there again we would opt for a superior room.

This place is very modest with a small but functional restroom. Beds were the firmest I've ever felt - some may not like them (it was OK for me). This is not a luxury hotel, but is a great value with cleanliness, functionality, a nice view, friendly and helpful staff for a great price. This was ideal for our family as we were out and about every day and just needed a place to sleep. I read a number of reviews about pest control concerns, but personally did not see any insects in my room, in the common areas, nor on the rooftop area where the pool and bar are located.

It is not the ideal location, but we were already taxiing to most activities so we opted for the lower cost versus tourist area convenience. This place was an excellent value - you get what you pay for and I needed a clean functional place to rest and Candia Hotel was perfect for that. I would recommend for anyone just needing a place to rest.

Rooms were great, super clean, beds comfy and it had a fantastically well stocked breakfast. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was good and the location is inbetween 2 Metro stations, on the easy to navigate Athens underground Metro system. We ate at 4 eateries in walking distance, and they were all great. Particular mention for the Egyptian kebab shop up the road, ALI MERAKLI, that we went to twice in a row. The roof bar was a surprise, with views to the Acropolis and a fantastic menu till late. What a find at this price point.

Not the hotels fault, but there are a few abandoned buildings in the area and we walked past a homeless druggie passed out in a doorway. But that is city life, and we nevertheless walked around a lot with our kids. Never feeling unsafe. But Athens is a gritty European city.

I am really pleased with the staff their professionalism and supportive approach to the visitors. We arrived at the hotel in the early morning with our one year old baby, and although the check - in was at 3PM, the hotel provided us the room several ours earlier, at 10AM. Also, the hotel was clean and cozy. The breakfast was quite nutritious and tasty.

The hotel was a little bit old. The door of the bathroom was really difficult to close.

The room was very good but the view of the back was not so great There was lots of food but most of it was cold eggs, meat and etc. Pool was GREAT!! the view from there was outstanding , pool not for swimming Staff was pleasant and helpful

Could not use the phone to make local calls, Breakfast was clod ever day. The outside of the hotel was not great. I enjoy swimming so in that part i was disappointed. View from our room was poor.
