The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable of the local significant places. They told me about the changes with the National libraries of Greece (which I went to visit and found it was closed!) and told me where to go instead. Close to metro, market, attractions etc and staff is 24 hrs!

I was on the third floor and no lift. The stairs are wide with handrails and solid so are safe to take my small case and backpack but it was not easy to go up and down plus no info about the stairs on the website or at least I couldn’t see it.

The location is great, it is at walking distance from the Acropolis and from many bars and restaurants. The receptionist ( sorry don't know his name but he was from Palestine) was very friendly and useful. He answered to all of my questions and gave me good tips about the area. I had only girls in my dormitory and we got along pretty well and we visited the town all together and went to the restaurant too.

The area is one of the best but weirdly enough, it looks sketchy . As a solo female traveler I didn't like some of the streets close to the hotel but it was only at night that I didn't feel comfortable but most of the time I was with the girls I met at the hotel so it was ok. At the last floor of the hotel, they are sometimes drunk foreigner guys so just stick to your floor!

The staff was very nice and understanding and let me switch (with no extra fee) to a girl's dorm that was on a lower floor. The people were nice and friendly.

The shared kitchen space is actually on the roof and there's only a fridge and microwave. Luckily I had a plate and cutlery of my own. Also I think there were bed bugs because I have a bunch of red itchy spots on my body..

Actually I liked the fact that this is a cheap hostel with corresponding standards (good value for money, but a few oddities and imperfections as you might expect in this price range... nothing bad, just not luxury but what do you expect ;)). As a not too picky backpacker I feel at home in these kinds of places. The travelers I met at the hostel were very nice too, way more open to friendly conversations and such than in the previous, more "posh" hostel I was at right before in Athens. The location is also great. Don't be fooled by the maybe disconcerting look of the street the hostel is in, it's a perfectly safe neighborhood. You'll be very close from the highly touristic areas of Monastiraki and the historic center as well as from Omonia, which is a bit more sketchy (I don't really recommend hanging out near the main Omonia square at 2 in the morning even though it is much better than it used to be...), but also full of nice and more authentic places tourists don't go to very often... Personally I like it. A bit further away but still largely within walking distance I can recommend the Keramikos area, there are nice bars and restaurants over there and they're not only frequented by tourists. I know I'm a tourist too, but some are annoying ;)

The hostel has various imperfections, like a few missing shower heads, sometimes capricious air conditioning (but usable with a bit of fiddling), kitchen not in such a good shape... But in my opinion, nothing really bad given the price. The "biggest" downside for me was the absence of lockers in the room (there seemed to be some in the common areas, but I didn't ask if I could use one). I just hid my valuables in a way that seemed safe enough to me, I don't think there's much risk really.

The room was shared with 4 people total which was nice. It was great to have a terrace at the top floor as shared space to meet people if you're traveling solo. Location was great and the people working there were very nice.

There were no lockers in the rooms so if you want to put your stuff in a locker you'd have to use the lockers in the hallway for 2 euros per use. There was only one chair in the room (which was occupied by someone's stuff) so if you had a top bed you'd have to climb up to sit somewhere.

Great location, nice rooms, nice beds, nice terrace on the top floor, super clean toilets.

The lockers: you need a 2€ coin every time you open it, so you can’t really use them to store your things. You can leave your valuables at the desk. There is no real kitchen, you can’t actually cook, but there is a microwave. I was here for one night only, which was perfect. I think it’s a little too basic if you need to stay longer

very nice hostel on a quaint and quiet side street. close to everything, within walking distance or easy access by local busses. Hostel facilities lounge, kitchen, terraces and the helpful staff are superb. Easy way to arrive from the airport, about 20 minutes by local bus get off at the beautiful yellow dome Cathedral of Agios Minos. it'll be on your right. walk across the street to the Pharmacy. Continue down 1 block where the street ends, turn left and walk less than 2 minutes. Hostel is on your right.

It was walking distance from all the big attractions I was able to make friends within the dorm environment

There was no lift and carrying 22kg of luggage up 4 flights of stairs was exhausting There was nowhere to personally wash clothes
