A tranquil mountain retreat with stellar views Arktos is a charming hotel tucked into the mountainside, offering beautiful panoramic views. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by warm and gracious hosts who were eager to ensure a pleasant stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, well maintained, and featured a private balcony. Our vantage point overlooked the lake and surrounding peaks—arguably the best views in the area. The bed was comfortable, and we slept soundly. Breakfast was plentiful, with a good variety of options to start the day right. While the drive up includes a few winding switchbacks, the road is fully paved and easy to navigate. The hotel’s peaceful setting made a perfect respite from the busier pace of the town below.

We had the double room with the balcony. The room is spacious, well designed and maintained. The views are breathtaking! Bed was comfortable. The host was very nice and friendly, and even waited for our return from our night in the town, just to bring us nighttime delicious drinks.

Probably due to our reservation being off season, and us being the only guests at the hotel, we felt that the breakfast was nice but a bit disappointing, due to lack of fresh products usually found in other hotels in the area, like bread, cheese, ham, cake, and jams. It should be mentioned that we were served nice handmade pastry, omelette, and toast.

Due to a car breakdown, we had to plan for one night. We opted for the hotel in the mountains - away from tourism. We were pleasantly surprised. Super nice hotel, high in the mountains - lovingly furnished, so that you immediately felt at home. The rooms are furnished to a high standard with air conditioning and a fridge. The view over the lake in the valley is captivating. In the morning, a mist covers the lake like absorbent cotton. Simply dreamlike - just like in a fairy tale. The lady of the house is extremely obliging, warm and super friendly. The dinner conjured up at short notice tasted delicious and authentic. The breakfast was extremely rich and excellent. We were completely satisfied.

There was nothing to complain about.

We enjoyed our stay in Arktos hotel which is hidden cozy gem near Ioaninna. The rooms are nice decorated , with comfortable beds and well equipped. The breakfast was included in the price, tasty and with various choices. Katerina , the owner, is very nice , friendly and always helpful. Thank you , Katerina and hope to see you again.

Excellent combination of authentic regional food selections with continental breakfast. Location was perfect. Out of the noise of the city but closed to it. The hotel provides an amazing view to the lake and city of Ioanninna surrounded by green mountains. It is run by wonderful people, ready to offer genuine and warm hospitality.

Absolutely wonderful hotel in the hills above Ioannina just 15 min from the city but so much more relaxing and refreshing during summer. Overwhelming view on the lake and city. Nice restaurant just around the corner. We got so much hospitality and an outstanding breakfast. Thank you so much.

The hospitality of the owner was the best. For us it was a good location. The hotel is up the mountain, it’s very quiet and an amazing view on the lake is really breathtaking. Everything is new, clean and nice-looking. We will definitely go back to this hotel once again.

For this price perhaps the breakfast could be improved with more choice in drinks and fresh juice.
