I wasn't sure what to expect with Pelican Hotel, as it was incredibly reasonably priced. Santorini is notoriously expensive for accomodation and we were travelling during peak times. I rarely give 100% on all categories for a hotel, but Pelican Hotel absolutely deserves it. 30 seconds walk from the main square of Fira and a 3 min walk to the main bus stop to the rest of the Island. I was travelling with 4 senior citizens ranging in age from 85 to 65 and was really worried about steps and climbing. This is one of the few hotels in Fira Centre where the taxi can stop right outside the hotel. We were given 2 rooms on the ground floor, with a huge balcony in the larger room. Beds were incredibily comfortable in what resembled a cave style room. My parents loved how close it was to all the eateries and shops and a fantastic local bakery. This hotel made their holiday. There is also an amazing flower decked restaurant affiliated to the hotel called Pelican Kipos which is highly recommended. The staff could not have been kinder and made excellent recommendations for local eateries.

Nothing - superb stay.

The hotel is in a great location for the town of Fira and is within immediate walking distance to so many shops, bars, restaurants and some amazing views. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The staff are the shining star of the visit, they were so helpful and kind and couldn’t do enough for us. Many many thanks to them.

One section on one side of the double bed mattress was very flat and uncomfortable but the other half was fine, we had another bed so it didn’t cause an issue. We forgot to mention this to the staff on our short visit but I’m sure if we had mentioned it to them it would have been dealt with immediately.

We only stayed one night but the staff were lovely. As we had a late flight, the luggage was stored, shower and towels provided for later in the day (much needed after a visit to the old port!) and helpful service. Location was great and room had everything we needed. Thank you!

Nothing hotel related specifically. We visited Santorini 16 years ago and loved it. This time we didn't like Santorini's mania - crazy amount of tourists so prices are exceptionally high, buses packed and a feeling that the cyclades have lost their charm. Thira feels like a huge bus terminal with a constant flow of traffic, crowds and a sense that as much money needs to be made in the shortest amount of time. We won't be back this time...its a shame!

Margarita was wonderful and so accommodating. Our flight was late and she stayed up to greet us… the location is perfect, especially for older people as the taxi can stop right outside the door… close availability to restaurants and shops…. It was perfect for all our needs.

Great location in the town but taxis can stop outside so no dragging luggage. Very clean, nice big shower & the lady on reception is very friendly & welcoming. We ate at the restaurant a couple of evenings before & 7 out of 8 of us said it was the best meal we had had in Fira. The previous 3 had all been at top rated restaurants with Caldera views.

A little more basic than we are used to but no less than I expected for the price, it was a one night stay on our last night. There isn’t a lift so the case had to be carried up a small flight of stairs.

Excellent location, clean, modern and staff were very friendly. Simple rooms but had everything you would need including an area to hang clothes, fridge, good air conditioning and full length mirror. Room also had a great balcony which overlooked the street. Definitely would stay again!

Not a negative because everywhere in Fira is a struggle with a suitcase! but there were a number of steps on arrival to get my room which I managed but could be a struggle for some guests.

The room was as shown on the picture. Very clean with daily room service. The beds were comfortable and the staff was great. Margarita, in particular was extremely helpful in helping us with any questions we had or directing us as needed. The location was very good not only due to proximity to the city center but also the main bus terminal to take a bus for any activity or other parts of the island including the airport and the ferry ports. Everything was within a few minutes walk. Even though we were in the city center noise was never an issue in our room. I would highly recommend.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful and nice! The lady in the mornings was especially lovely but all were great. Location is amazing and easy to access from airport and bus hub in Fira. Rooms were lovely and met our needs perfectly.

There is no one at reception between 10:30pm and 8am so occasionally it’s very loud in the lobby area which echoes throughout the whole hotel at even 2am and there isn’t any staff person to tell them to quiet down.

Central Location, less steps to the room, and staff are very nice. Air conditioning was working quite well, and a great restaurant “kipos” next door for breakfast and meals, great service and food quality there. It can be a bit noisy at night and most sound is reasonably well insulated. Everything looks fairly recently renovated. Good value for money and no swimming pool, and not luxury but basics are ok. Good for a short stay. Can get to hotel with a car / taxi. No need to drag your cases through pedestrian areas.

Rooms not very big but just adequate even if you come with 2 large suitcases. Allocation a bit noisy but not a deal breaker (I am a light sleeper).

Location is excellent - steps away from the main pedestrian areas in Fira, less than 5 minutes walk from the bus stop, but still accessible by car so arriving with luggage was easy. Lots of great restaurants nearby as well. Rooms are clean and look much nicer than in the photos. Bottles of water were provided for all guests. The rooms are completely noise proof - the restaurant outside the hotel was pretty loud in the evening, and you could not hear a thing in the room. The staff were also super welcoming and helpful.

Restaurant adjacent to the property (same owners) has a lovely atmosphere but the food isn't great for the price, there are better options nearby.
