Great location, absolutely perfect for sunset views over Fira. Bus stop is short walk away, and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Beautiful views, far away enough from street to not hear the noise. We booked a local restaurant (Nektar Lounge) to watch the sunset and it was amazing. Our room was very spacious with comfortable bed. We were very pleased with the amount of space and amenities, the room was really cool. Breakfast was very good also. Staff were super accommodating and helpful, from reception to bellboy. Gave us some helpful information and arranged pick up and drop off to the port. Also allowed us to keep luggage there when we were exploring Santorini before our next ferry. Very professional and well run.

Like all the accommodation in this area, be prepared to walk up and down a couple of flights of stairs. As our room was towards the bottom we had a longer stair climb to come back up. However, hotel is excellent at assisting with luggage and bags. The view is also worth it for sure. There is also poor reception for the WiFi in the room so you could really only use it on the balconies. This also meant not being able to use data. Bathroom was fine but the shower was a bit small and the curtain got in the way.

Fabulous location on the edge of the cliff. Lots of common space with Instagram worthy caldera views. The staff were all incredible, especially the front desk person who gave me very helpful logistical information. The breakfast was also nice with a variety of foods and in a decent portion.

I stayed in the small one person room with a single bed, which was a fine size for one person. But mattress was quite old and lumpy (despite the mattress pad they had put over it). Also as my room was at the lowest of about 5 levels (the hotel is built on the edge of a cliff, which is what makes it awesome) but this required a LOT of stairs when entering or exiting the hotel. Good exercise though!

Broken toilet seat which made using it an adventure(lol). mentioned it to housekeeping who just smiled. Should have mentioned to front desk.

The locations and views were amazing. Reception staff were very friendly and polite.

The bell boy/older man was racist and rather rude. Very poor wifi connectivity.

Location was excellent and breakfast was cool. Sunset from their rooms or balcony is definitely worth. It is not a hotel for the party goers but calm and quiet for peaceful people.

For people who stays a little longer, can expect a little variety in breakfast but unfortunately it was the same for all three days. The staff was nice except one person - George - he is probably a good person but very short tempered and probably does not know much about customer service. Pay him some tips and he would be a bit better 😀 rooms are a bit dated but ok.

We stayed in this hotel 25 years ago, and the Kavalari is still very nice after all these years. They arranged transport from the airport, and had a guy waiting to meet us to carry the luggage! They also took the luggage to the car when we left! Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the caldera, and the breakfast on the level down below was pretty good.

But the room was small, the bed was sort of up on a platform - had to be really careful getting out. Not much place to put suitcases or arrange clothes. Compared to some of the more modern luxury class hotels in the area, it felt like this hotel had not made any investment to refresh and keep up with the competition.

Perfect location in the heart of Fira with excellent sunset views from the shared balconies. The staff were extremely friendly. The breakfast was delicious.

In retrospect I would have liked a location with a pool. The balconies are all shared and I had to walk down a flight to get to the one associated with my room. However it was never busy and I always enjoyed my own table and chairs. Really an excellent value for what you get.

It's impossible not to mention the view, the hotel is in a privileged location overlooking the sea and also close to the main Fira bus station which takes you to all your destinations. Breakfast is very good, but it's not like free buffet, it's served at the table you sit at outside, enjoying the view. Friendly staff. The room was very good, all the utensils mentioned in the booking were in the room.

Lots of uneven stairs. Breakfast was the same every day. Internet was intermittent. Jacuzzi didn't work. Hotel is showing its age. Shouldn't command the price without a decent upgrade.
