The view was amazingly beautiful! Staff was excellent and welcoming. Location in Kastraki was perfect. We were so happy we chose Doupiani House. Close to village for dinner at Taverna Gardenia. Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Hotel breakfast was fabulous with lots of homemade foods. All delicious and set in a charming breakfast room. Lovely gardens outside where you could take your breakfast. Would return in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything!

Nothing

Despite torrential rain we had the best two days staying at hotel doipiani. As our taxi driver commented it definitely must have the best views of meteora which we were told means suspended in the sky, and with our room looking directly at them we felt we were also floating in heaven. The staff could not have been more helpful, anxious that we should get the most from our trip despite the bad weather. The heat was on in our room which was cosy and warm, and the breakfast was the best we had in our trip, A wonderful mix of local dishes and familiar ones with absolutely delicious homemade pastries. Thank you all for making our stay such a wonderful one. I can't wait to return some day and experience your exceptional service again but hopefully with the added bonus of sunshine.

The staff was the most friendly and accommodating..gave us suggestions when asked about directions or shopping. Athena was always there to help us. The rest of the staff was also very helpful and kind! The breakfast was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend staying here..you won't be disappointed!

Not a thing!!!

The staff were incredibly helpful and were very detail oriented. The breakfast was delicious and had variety for everyone and included lots of homemade cakes and pastries and even home grown fruits and vegetables. The room was lovely and the view was beautiful. Location was a few minutes drive from the monasteries.

Everything was great! We arrived very late but we let them know ahead of time and the woman who checked us in was very nice despite the lateness of the hour. They upgraded our room free of charge and we had possibly the best view of the whole property! Everyone we passed by was very welcoming and friendly. Out of our 5 hotels on our trip, the breakfast was my absolute favorite in Greece! The milk pie in particular was amazing! There was plenty of parking, and even when it was completely full one night, there was a man directing us where to park in the grass. Everything was exactly what I expected from the pictures, I would gladly return!

The shower is not perfectly ideal, but after a long stay in Greece we understand this is how this country does their showers, and you just get used to it.

Superior Double room was comfortable and large enough. The view is lovely from the front patio (or room terrace). Little terraces for each room have a wall between but conversation carries so it’s pleasant but not exactly private. Easy 10-minute walk into Kastraki village center for a few restaurants or the geologic museum. Nearby Kalampaka (aka Kalabaka or Kalambaka) has dozens of restaurants and tourist shopping options (parking is a challenge). Kastraki is not touristic. Very cold outside during our visit in early April but the room was cozy. Bed was comfortable and the area is quiet. Buffet breakfast is very good. Toast, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, yogurt, honey, Greek pastry (bougatsa and spanakopita), plus other Greek specialties. Superior Double room was comfortable and large enough. The shower was odd. A somewhat high step to get inside and then it’s rather small. We ended up with a puddle of water in the bathroom despite keeping the “door” in the proper location (which might be difficult for larger people). However, water from the rain-style shower head was hot. It was odd that the curtains on the terrace doors were not wide enough to fully cover the doors. Wi-fi throughout the Hotel Doupiani was only okay.

Everything was perfect. It was pure enjoyment to stay in this hotel. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so nice, very organic. Love to come again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Doupiani House. Our room was spacious and with wonderful views of the famous Meteora rocks. It was nice to have a proper bed (rather than a converted sofa bed) for our teen child. We found the level of daily cleaning exceptional. Reception staff were most helpful with our queries about the area. Breakfast was delicious and abundant, with many local products. Service staff were courteous and helpful. Thank you for making our family trip so comfortable.

Everything was wonderful. Extended breakfast ours may help with managing demand during busy periods, but the 7-10am worked fine for us and our schedule.

The Greek style breakfast was amazing with a large variety of options. This properly also has the absolute best view from their outdoor seating area.

Not a single thing

This is one of my favorite stays in many years of traveling. The location was excellent, with striking views of Meteora and the monasteries as well as having the most charming garden with flowers and enough greenery to shield from the midday sun— perfect for an aperitif! Our room was so comfortable with a massive king size bed and a west facing view of the sunset on the distant mountains. Breakfast was delicious— Unlimited espresso, local yogurt and honey, northern Greek cuisine, and some English options as well. Lastly the staff was exceptional! Everyone was so calming and welcoming, creating a true sanctuary to retreat to in the mountains. We cannot wait to return!
