Despite torrential rain we had the best two days staying at hotel doipiani. As our taxi driver commented it definitely must have the best views of meteora which we were told means suspended in the sky, and with our room looking directly at them we felt we were also floating in heaven. The staff could not have been more helpful, anxious that we should get the most from our trip despite the bad weather. The heat was on in our room which was cosy and warm, and the breakfast was the best we had in our trip, A wonderful mix of local dishes and familiar ones with absolutely delicious homemade pastries. Thank you all for making our stay such a wonderful one. I can't wait to return some day and experience your exceptional service again but hopefully with the added bonus of sunshine.

The staff were incredibly helpful and were very detail oriented. The breakfast was delicious and had variety for everyone and included lots of homemade cakes and pastries and even home grown fruits and vegetables. The room was lovely and the view was beautiful. Location was a few minutes drive from the monasteries.

Superior Double room was comfortable and large enough. The view is lovely from the front patio (or room terrace). Little terraces for each room have a wall between but conversation carries so it’s pleasant but not exactly private. Easy 10-minute walk into Kastraki village center for a few restaurants or the geologic museum. Nearby Kalampaka (aka Kalabaka or Kalambaka) has dozens of restaurants and tourist shopping options (parking is a challenge). Kastraki is not touristic. Very cold outside during our visit in early April but the room was cozy. Bed was comfortable and the area is quiet. Buffet breakfast is very good. Toast, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, yogurt, honey, Greek pastry (bougatsa and spanakopita), plus other Greek specialties. Superior Double room was comfortable and large enough. The shower was odd. A somewhat high step to get inside and then it’s rather small. We ended up with a puddle of water in the bathroom despite keeping the “door” in the proper location (which might be difficult for larger people). However, water from the rain-style shower head was hot. It was odd that the curtains on the terrace doors were not wide enough to fully cover the doors. Wi-fi throughout the Hotel Doupiani was only okay.

Everything was perfect. It was pure enjoyment to stay in this hotel. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so nice, very organic. Love to come again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Doupiani House. Our room was spacious and with wonderful views of the famous Meteora rocks. It was nice to have a proper bed (rather than a converted sofa bed) for our teen child. We found the level of daily cleaning exceptional. Reception staff were most helpful with our queries about the area. Breakfast was delicious and abundant, with many local products. Service staff were courteous and helpful. Thank you for making our family trip so comfortable.

Everything was wonderful. Extended breakfast ours may help with managing demand during busy periods, but the 7-10am worked fine for us and our schedule.

The Greek style breakfast was amazing with a large variety of options. This properly also has the absolute best view from their outdoor seating area.

Not a single thing

I had an incredible stay at Hotel Doupiani House! The views of Meteora were absolutely breathtaking – a sight to wake up to every day. The location is perfect, with restaurants within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. And the breakfast? Simply amazing! A delicious start to every morning with plenty of variety. If you’re visiting Meteora, I highly recommend this gem of a hotel – it’s a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and stunning scenery.

Beautiful property with great view of one of the monasteries! We booked the upstairs room with balcony overlooking the magical rocks, towns and gardens. They have beautiful terrace with plenty of tables and chairs to relax. The breakfast was delicious with home made jams, pie, homegrown fruits (best figs I have ever had) and vegetables. Locally l sourced sausage and bacon, delicious Greek yogurt and honey, etc. etc. The lady at the front desk was very polite and provided many information about the area in perfect English. The owner gentleman was always on the site to make sure that everything was set. Staying here for our Meteora visit was perfect. Very close to nice tavernas and stores.

Stayed at the end of August/early September. Unbelievable hotel, the views take some beating. Hotel bar served beers, wines and shorts. 10 minutes walk in to town where there were plenty of restaurants and shops. Walking trails all lead from the town through the rocks, up to the monasteries and to Kalabaka (many sheltered from the heat within the woodland). The reception staff were amazing, very friendly and willing to help. The breakfast waitresses too were very welcoming in the morning, informing us of the breakfast and the origins of some of the food. We've never spent two hours having breakfast, but with the food, coffee and views, we did here! Nothing to moan about all.

We got the hotel primarily for the panoramic view from the balcony and the AMAZING breakfast! These two both exceeded our expectations.

I am not a complainer, but we really wanted to take a bath and the bathtub situation was not available. I understand why, but we really looked forward to that since we don't have access to a bath where we live. Also, it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room with hot water availability so we didn't have to ask for hot water at the front desk-
