After seeing both towns, we prefer Kastraki over Kalambaka. It is more peaceful and authentic. The hotel was very nice. The area where the breakfast is served has a nice fireplace that made it very comfortable for the cold nights during our stay. The room was spacious. It had a living room with a nice balcony where we sat and enjoyed the view of the town and one of the mountains. The owner is very nice. We had good conversations with him. He was very attentive and always making sure we had whatever we needed. We recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

The host was incredibly friendly, helpful, and hospitable! The staff went above and beyond, even calling us in advance to confirm our check-in details. The guesthouse itself is picturesque and exceeded our expectations. The hospitality truly stood out—staff members assisted with our luggage and carried it to our rooms. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and featured comfortable beds, making for a pleasant stay. Breakfast was delicious, offering a good variety of options. Upon check-in, the staff took the time to explain the local area and Meteora, suggesting a morning tour, which we decided to take. It was an amazing experience organized by Visit Meteora. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here—our only regret was that it lasted just one day!
Nothing!

The property was amazing, the position to the rocks. The rooms were exceptionally set out, beds were amazingly comfortable. The service provided by Kosta was brilliant, very informative, is a great help with organising tours and just an amazing person. Would thoroughly recommend the property at every level.
There was nothing to not like everything was fantastic

This is a lovely small hotel run by a family and their service is overall outstanding. The converted old-home to hotel is located at the bottom of the rocks of Meteora and makes the stay particularly memorable. The room were beautiful, clean and well kept. Breakfast was very nice as well. We all liked the place a great deal. The road to get there is a bit tight and requires attention by the driver; this is however something that cannot be fixed easily!
We had an overall lovely stay in Kalampaka and it was mostly to our stay in this Archontiko! Not clear that there is anything negative to share indeed. If you decide to stay there, a good choice off the center of the town!

Absolutely fantastic hotel that has a lot of charm and character. The room was incredibly spacious with a large bathroom, kitchenette, living room with a very comfy sofa and large bedroom. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in my whole life. There is a lovely garden area with seating and parasols with great views of the Meteora rocks and scenery. The breakfast was also very good. Within minutes walking distance to the village with tavernas, bars, supermarket etc. Only a 5 minute or so drive to the city. Meteora itself is just 3km away. The staff were most accommodating, polite and helpful. Couldn't recommend any more. Great place to stay and would definitely go back.

This is small but cozy family-run hotel. The suites are spacious with a bedroom and a living room. One of our rooms have Meteora view and we enjoyed sunset in the balcony. Breakfast is good, and the dinner restaurant that the owner recommends is also good. Please DO try!
The location is not central, but I am not complaining. I actually prefer this to other hotels in Kalambaka. However, if you do not plan to drive by yourself, this wouldn’t be a fit for you. If you are driving, please please follow the instructions that the owner provides you for direction. First go to Kalambaka, and the set your GPS for the hotel. Otherwise, you will be making turns and turns at a roundabout 100 meters away, but not finding your way.

The location was well located right beside the rocks. Dinos who took care of us at the hotel was delightful. Breakfast was fantastic with fried and boiled eggs, local pastries, cake made by his mom!, fruit, cheese and meat, yogurt, etc. great coffee and the best orange juice I’ve had in recent memory. Breakfast is served in a cozy room with fireplace when it’s not warm enough outside. Our room was very comfortable with a great view. We could walk to local restaurants nearby. Note it is at the top of a steep hill. We were given recommendations on restaurants and a halfday tour of Meteora. Take the tour! Driving and parking up there is a nightmare.
The bathtub was large, which was very nice. But the showerhead (handheld) was inconsistent in temperature with low pressure. I had to bend my head under the tub faucet to wash my hair. For just a couple nights, it was no big deal. The drive up to the hotel was daunting with tiny roads. If you are not a confident driver, I do not recommend driving to it.

What a little gem in the heart of one of the most beautiful places on earth! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special with a complimentary bottle of wine and Greek chocolate. The service was exceptional from check-in to check-out. We loved the homemade jams at breakfast. I especially loved the history of the hotel. Their recommendations for dinner and day trips were perfect. Thank you for your hospitality.

Location was brilliant. The garden was beautiful for relaxing in with a beer and a book after a busy day touring. The owners were genuinely lovely people who know what hospitality is and they were generous in every way. A complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. Crisps when I was having a beer in the garden. The breakfast included in the room rate was also generous- cereals juice breads coffee poached eggs spinach pie apple cake - you name it - they had it. A mixture of continental and full English breakfast. The room has a separate lounge area with kitchenette, coffee pods and bottled water. The bedroom has a large comfortable queen size bed. The furnishings are rustic country style and very homely. Alberta and her husband were great communicators and offered us suggestions for dinner and sights. This property is a hidden gem - 5 minutes walk to town of Kastraki but also has a great cafe/bar across the road called Qastiro which served fab platter of sausages and those famous Greek potatoes!
