If you want to spoil yourself while visiting Mystras and the Taygetos mountains area - Kyniska Palace is the place for you. It offers luxurious suites, beautiful pool, rich breakfast and even gym and spa.

The place needs a bit of an update. The breakfast room was not air-conditioned when I came down in the morning, air-condition was turned on only when I arrived. My friends told me that the air-condition in the gym didn't work well either, but maybe that was a one-time technical problem. They also said nobody welcomed them when they arrived to have breakfast, there was nobody there to serve them coffee, and the warm dishes were cold.

Half board an breakfast were super nice and tasteful. The staff also was so friendly and helpful

We didn’t like that the pool is open to visitors. We pay a significant amount in order to relax away from the noise. Additionally I would suggest to widen the hours of pool, 10 am is late in the morning and 19:00 early, especially during a heatwave.

We were a group of 21 adults, and this hotel was exactly what we needed. The Suites are very large and comfortable The area is surrounded by olive and orange trees and the smell of the nature was great. the staff was excellent and we even had a chance to make our own party after dinner. thank you

The location is also very convenient—just a few minutes' drive from the Mystras Archaeological Site, making it a great base for exploring the area. With its welcoming ambiance and excellent service, I’d highly recommend this hotel, especially for groups!

We visited the area in the off-season, so it might look very quite, nevertheless beautiful

I recently stayed at Kyniska Palace Conference & Spa in Mystras in April 2025 and had a truly pleasant experience. The hotel is beautiful and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean and very spacious, which was perfect for my family—I stayed with my wife and two children. We booked the half-board option and really enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast provided; the food was delicious and satisfying. The hotel is located close to Mystras, a historic fortified town in Laconia, Peloponnese, situated on Mount Taygetus above ancient Sparta. In 1989, the ruins of Mystras—including the fortress, palace, churches, and monasteries—were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site features a museum and partially restored ruins that are absolutely worth visiting. I would definitely recommend Kyniska Palace to anyone visiting the region. It’s a great base for exploring the rich history of Mystras while enjoying comfort and great hospitality.

Firstly, everything is extremely spacious with huge living rooms, bedrooms, multiple balconies, and ample parking space. Everything is very nicely designed and the staff (of which there are many) are notably pleasant and attentive. Dinner was delicious, breakfast had many options but was a bit poorer in quality than our other hotels. Only two drawbacks - the hotel is very close to Mystras and Sparta, but there is nothing in the immediate vicinity (which means it's very quiet) and secondly, the spa facilities are a bit disappointing. The pool is small, the hamam smelt a bit musty/ mouldy, and the changing room design is a little off.

Excellent hotel with very comfortable suites located in a very beautiful place next to Mystras & Sparta. Very kind people and good spa with excellent ladies performing the therapies. Congratulations for the EV chargers available in the parking of the hotel !!

Everything was perfect, the only thing I would suggest is to consider having bigger TVs since now there are very economic models with 50"++ inches and the suites are really big 🔥🙏 Again, thank you for the perfect stay and the professionalism of the staff.

Yannis and the team are incredibly welcoming and care for the needs of their guests. We were very happy with our stay at the resort and the facilities. The location is convenient as it is equidistant between Sparta and Mystras archeological site. The food, decor of the main hotel building, services and spa are all first class. Highly recommended

The hotel is well located, close to Sparti and the archaeological site of Mystras, easy to find with parking on site. Although it seems to be relatively new, the decoration is somewhat poor/all fashioned. We stayed for one night and might have been the only guests around. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were also offered an upgrade to a very well sized suite, which was much appreciated. There is also a very nice good sized pool, which unfortunately closes at 7pm.

Although the beds very comfortable the pillows were oversized and very hard making for a very difficult sleep and a soar neck the next morning. The A/C was also noisy and the shower somewhat uncomfortable. As we were probably the only guests (no one else showed up for breakfast) the self service breakfast trays were completely empty. However we were served ala carte a very rich and complete breakfast. The lady that served us breakfast was dressed like cleaning staff, which did not do justice to the hotel standard.

It wasn’t clear to us that the kids were not allowed to swim in the indoor pool as it is not advertised as such on booking.com. They were kind enough to make an exception for us. Just beware of this rule if you plan on swimming out kids indoors (the outside pools were still closed). Great hotel, relaxing atmosphere. Excellent breakfast. Good bed. Nice spa. Nice people. Close to Sparta and Mystras.
