Housekeeping was poor. I had to ask for the room tio be cleaned. The shower leaks all over the bathroom floor. I had to use the to soak up the water. The bathroom basin was blocked and wasn't fixed. One if the bed side lights didn't work.

Located in the heart of the city that never sleeps, The Excelsior offers a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. Despite the vibrant energy surrounding you, the hotel provides a serene environment where you can truly unwind. Our room faced the main street, but thanks to excellent sound insulation, we enjoyed a restful and quiet night. The staff at the hotel are exceptionally friendly, and our favorite was Elisabeth, a delightful and warm conversationalist who made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast offered a great variety, with a special menu of different omelets and egg dishes that are freshly prepared to order. It was the perfect start to our day.

As mentioned, the breakfast is diverse, but after a week, a change in variety would have been appreciated. Additionally, if the hotel had a sauna or spa, it would have exceeded all expectations.

Overall more good than bad. Some highlights: - Helpful, professional staff. - Centrally located. - Very comfortable bed. - Excellent breakfast. - The complimentary chocolates in our room on arrival was a nice touch.

- The air conditioning did not work in our room so the room was uncomfortably warm. Unfortunately it is too noisy outside to sleep with the windows open. - Lots of street noise late at night, even mid-week. - We ordered some food at the bar in the evening and, despite there only being one other table at the time, the food took ages to arrive and when it did finally arrive it was lukewarm at best.

Perfect location, in walking distance to everywhere. Very nice street. Very nice design and decoration in the building. Wide, modern, super clean room with every facility you can need. Very good breakfast menu and wide range buffet. Service is perfect. It was a really good start to the day having breakfast in the mornings in a very cozy restaurant room. The staff was super friendly, smiling and helpful with every need. The vale service is a huge plus, we could easily leave our car in the front of the hotel and enter our room in seconds. In our next visit to Thessaloniki we will definetely stay in The Excelsior. Thank you for making our holiday unforgetable.

the location is amazing, it's one of the best corners downtown - stores, the sea, the restaurants all at 10 mins distance. Even when you go downstairs you have the fantastic restaurant and two bars - what a start for your vacation:) Staff is gerat and were kind to park the car for you with one of the 24/7 parkings the hotel works with Highly recommended place for your stay in the city!

bathroom and restrooms are a bit weird and small, especially with a small kid once you close the restroom door a kid can't open it at all

We are visiting the hotel for the 3rd time and we are extremely happy about the service. First when we made the reservation I asked the room not to be next to the elevator however I got the room next to the elevator when I went down to the reception to ask for the room to be changed it was changed immediately without any problems which means the customer satisfaction for them it is on first place and I would like to thank you and to say I am very grateful. The second thing which I would like to mention is that this hotel is super pet friendly they are treating the pets as member of the family not just a pet. For my dog they have left dog shampoo and conditioner, a really soft towel special for her and treats. It was amazing and I was impressed that this hotel care for the pets, I wish more hotels to be like them. The people who work at the reception are very polite, nice and helpful.

One negative site which the hotel can improve is the breakfast. They can provide more choice in the breakfast menu

The staff was excellent, and breakfast was superb. Little touches like the turn back and chocolates were lovely.

Our shower unfortunately leaked everywhere on use but the receptionist apologised profusely when we told her and assured us it would be dealt with immediately. The one thing that was very annoying was from about 21.00 to midnight someone on the floor below seemed to be moving furniture very loudly indeed.

The historic corner building wqas very attractive from outside, and enhanced the streetscape. Breakfast was good, and the breakfast room charming. Location was excellent. The hotel was a refurbished large historic house, and was consequently atmospheric It was really nice to have quite a large balcony, yet for the glass doors to the balcony to be very soundproof on a busy corner.

The lift is tiny. But then, it IS an historic building, so getting a lift in at all is an achievement. Ideally, the Reception area could be larger, its a bit cramped. But again, it IS an old house.

Location is on of the best and has parking so you don't care about anything.

This time we were a bit disapoitned as hotel was overbooked and we didn't get the street view room we wanted. We got one facing the back building and there was noice from the air conditioning and aspiration in that back yard. Shower in the bath was leaking.

The hotel is located in a prime location . The room, amenities, wifi, food is very good. some minor maintenance issues. .In the bathroom - the handset dismenteled during use (it is obviouse this was not for the first time In the Toilet - the tap is leaking from the gusket. I hope the maintenance team will fix these issues because it effects the overall experiance. . Nevertheless, i like this hotel very much and not for the first time. keep it up!
