Loved the fact that it is a pet friendly hotel, they take care of a very cute, old stray dog and also they have a lovely cat in the breakfast area. Breakfast was one of the best, a lot of variety and they cook you eggs just how you want them. As suggested by its name, the hotel has a modern look and the room has a cool vibe. The parking space is not their own so you have to pay for it. Very kind and helpful staff, really appreciated the way they spoke to us.

The room was clean in general, however they could pay a bit more attention to details, our foot towel was already dirty.

I can say without exaggeration that this week at The Modernist was one of, if not the best hotel experience I have ever had. I have the incredible hotel staff to thank for this, they helped me so much, gave me hundreds of recommendations for restaurants, cafes, bars and activities which turned out to be unique experiences. They were also always open for a little chat. Don't hesitate and book this hotel. It is very centrally located, you can get anywhere in the city very quickly and don't have to rely on cabs or public transport. The breakfast buffet is huge and there is something for every taste. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are very clean, you feel at home as much as you can away from home. The minibar is also stocked with only local products. The rooms are also very quiet, even though they face the street. All in all, a perfect hotel experience - as a person who travels a lot, I can only recommend it.

I don‘t know if there is anything negative to say.

The location could not be any more central. It’s 2 blocks from the waterfront, 2 blocks from a metro stop right in the heart of Thessaloniki. The breakfast included a dazzling array of sweet pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, every type of milk, yogurt, coffee, fresh orange juice, eggs made to order—really a lot, well presented, and wonderful staff to assist. Indeed, the staff at all times greet you enthusiastically, warmly and try to help you with travel solutions, restaurant recommendations. The bed and pillows were comfortable. External noise wasn’t evident; and I rarely heard anyone outside my door, despite being near an elevator. I would definitely recommend it.

The room and bathroom didn’t have enough shelf space. You can shuffle some things around to make space, though. And I did have a balcony :)

In this hotel, special attention is given to details and guests. Cleanliness and the daily supply of water and coffee are a priority, all the staff are exceptional, starting with the chambermaids, passing by the ladies from the kitchen who are the smartest and most talented ever met in the hotels restaurants, up to the charismatic Ioana who made us cheered up the day of departure by giving us the warmest and most attentive assistance. Breakfast has selected product, including, in some days, fresh juices. A small suggestion would be to introduce several hot products, including eggs, of which each person would take much less than what goes into the omelettes prepared on demand.

The only minuses would be the very tight space in the restaurant at breakfast, the stepped platforms on which the bed sits in some rooms, the noise of the street and doors at night and the fact that although in the room with two guests I remember that when booking I asked for separate beds, the request was not forwarded to the hotel, but this it's a registration problem on Booking, not of the hotel.

From the moment you enter the hotel until the time you leave, such a great, warm welcome to make you feel at home. Have never seen before such a great team, they are happy and they make you happy, always with a genuine smile on their face! Thanks to everyone but have to especially mention Christos and of course Pavlos (next door hotel’s coffee shop) and thank them even more for their naturally warm greetings. The hotel is right in the center, very convenient to wherever you want to go. Breakfast room may seem small at first, but has everything you might ask, from vegan choices to fried eggs. A huge thank you to all the team. We had a great stay.

The location is perfect it's in the heart of the city ,it's next to st.Theodoras church still the sound proof walls won't let you hear anything, the breakfast is amazing on the the terrace..staff are super attentive and friendly.

Our room was very small 16m :(( 2nd floor,and no space or cupboard to put our 2 hand luggages there was a table kind of thing with a few hangers on a tube..also our room was close to the stairs and we could hear through the door people walking up and down..

The hotel's location is in the top city center, in a minute walk distance to the main street and to the sea, but in the same time it's far from the noise. The breakfast is healthy and delicious. This is not just a modern hotel. Its concept, design, atmosphere, culture are much more than a great experience. It is adding value to the environment of the modern traveller. We met smiley and positive people on the reception. We never met such team - congrats to the manager for the perfect team selection. Thank you team for all your efforts, for the city landmarks, restaurants and parking recommendations. We will deffinately visit you again!

On an issue that appeared with the room - the team proposed us directly the best solution, so for our next visit to Thessaloniki - we will choose your hotel again :)

The rooms are clean, Art Deco chic,spacious (Thessaloniki standards) and prompt a homely feeling to them. It was lovely to see unusual amenities such as Marshalls Bluetooth speaker and a copy of the Feast of The Goat in rooms. High ceilings and ambient lighting aid to rooms being relaxing . The staff showed great hospitality- welcoming and happy to provide assistance. Having spoken with the staff it is evident they feel strong loyalty and care for their hotel and client satisfaction. Great location, breakfast with various options, fast wifi, everything was clean and tidy. Attention to details; copies of The Monocle, merch organic smorgasbord and local art , elevates the quality of experience in to millennial luxury.

Top-notch friendly staff and perfect central location. Possibly cleaner than my home. I loved staring at the cool tiles of the historic building. Modern and cool room, with Bluetooth speakers and Youtube on TV. AC went Brrrrrr (kudos to the AC for saving our life). It has a fantastic breakfast area with a fascinating variety of quality breakfasts. I'd definitely stay there again.

The room was on the small side but didn't bother us.

We had an excellent 3 days stay at the Modernist Thessaloniki! The staff was amazing, super helpful, friendly and engaging. The room was big enough for two people. We had a small balcony looking to the street, which was a nice plus after a day full with walking. The hotel is extremely central, just a few steps away from the sea and the main square as well as surrounded with plenty of number of cafes and restaurants. The breakfast on the rooftop was amazing! The breakfast staff was exceptional, we were asked our preference for the egg and it was prepared as we wish. I strongly recommend this hotel whoever wants to explore Thessaloniki!

The room was a little bit small for a longer stay and the sound isolation was not the best. But it is normal given it is converted from an old building.
