Fabulous suite with jacuzzi and fireplace, great heated very comfortable and quite EXCEPT for the construction crew hired by the hotel

The biggest problem could have been easily solved … a worker came the first morning at 7:30am to very loudly and constantly hammer the steps leading to my room the entire day. I got the desk to move his start time a bit later , but really no guest wants to be woken by a guy hammering six feet away!

We had a fabulous stay here really lovely room and you could light the fire when cold in the morning Hotel was amazing as were the staff It was walkable to all the sights restaurants etc You had sweets delivered to your room every night We had the opportunity to have breakfast on the terrace on our last morning and we could see the volcano Would recommend staying here it is expensive but if you like a bit of luxury All staff friendly and always said hello

We had breakfast included but you couldn’t have fruit it was an extra cost which we didn’t think was right considering how much you pay for your room

It was exquisite!!! After 35 years I returned to Guatemala, I remember this place to be my escape to pray during the civil war. I cried of memories walking the grounds. It is was so beautiful!!!

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The room was amazing- the nicest we’ve ever stayed in! The bed was so comfortable and the bath was huge. We will definitely return.

This place is like a piece of heaven on earth , not only because its exceptional beauty , tranquility and comfort ; but the way you are treated . The person that I have to recognize the most is Ariana, at the front desk. She showed us compassion, gave us all the support and made us feel confident that she will try the best to rescue and bring to us our passports and others valuables we left at the other hotel in Guatemala City. She made possible that all our documents were kept save there until a pilot from the Convento Hotel brought all of them to us a day after. Ariana became our angel , but she was not the only one. El Convento Hotel at Antigua is full of angels , they are the ones who makes this place unique

The room was nice, I had a workstation, which was great for me as I was working during my trip. The bed was comfortable, and I absolutely loved the shower(this was my favorite 😍 The breakfast was great! Grounds were beautifully kept, and the staff was nice. Loved the location of my hotel. It was very central, peaceful, and close to most things I felt safe at the hotel!

It did get hot one of the nights, and there was no fan in the room. It'd be great to have a ceiling fan or an optional standing fan. Iron/iron board was not included in my room (I'm not sure if that was mentioned in the booking, if it was I won't fault them for that) they were able to provide one when I needed it.

The hotel and all facilities are amazingly beautiful. Even though my room only had one window, the light felt good

Reception and service should be better with this price point. I had asked for an early check-in but still the room was NOT ready even at the normal check-in time. Also breakfast was not included and I didn’t get any briefing from the facilities which would have been nice

It’s a haven on peace and tranquility the perfect place to relax in and close enough to the main attractions of Antigua that a short walk gets you to the centre.

My only negative comment is that my terrace was really noisy due to an air conditioning unit and the air conditioning in my room didn’t work. I did not need it But Sitting outside was very loud.

This is one of the rare hotels that is actually more beautiful in person than it appears in photos. The architecture, the gardens, the terrace, the sitting areas, the candlelit walkways at night - just gorgeous. Every staff member that we interacted with was exceptionally friendly and helpful without coming off too formal. Our room was spacious and perfectly dark and quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious and enough to hold me over until dinner. It may be on the pricey side for Antigua, but for us it was well worth every penny!

Loved this hotel! Immaculate details everywhere. The location is walking distance to everything, it’s very clean, they pay attention to every little detail, the staff are so helpful (they respond right away with WhatsApp), they helped us arrange a shuttle from the airport. And it’s not too big so it feels quaint.
