During our stay we had to call down to reception as there was works and drilling taking place so loudly and they told us it was emergency works - fair enough but my god was it so loud that it ruined the final hours of our stay

The Hotel was wonderful and the room was very comfortable. The location is excellent, with plenty of places to eat and shop within minutes of the hotel. A 20 - 30 minute walk, will take you into the city centre or there's a bus stop, just across the road. Breakfast always had a variety of options and plenty of them. Dinner and a drink in the Bar was wonderful and Regina, one of the staff, was always lovely and helpful which I truly appreciated, especially at the end of a day filled with sightseeing! I highly recommend staying here and will be back here the next time I'm in Budapest.

There was nothing to dislike, my stay was very enjoyable.

The room was exceptionally clean, peacefully quiet, and featured excellent soundproofing. The beds were very comfortable, which made a huge difference after long days of exploring the city. The location is ideal, allowing easy access to key attractions, transportation, and restaurants. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were professional, and helpful throughout my stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly.

I would have appreciated prior notice regarding the deposit policy upon arrival. Also, the WC was located in a very compact, separate space, which could be uncomfortable for those with claustrophobia, like myself. The open-style cupboard may not suit everyone’s. A bidet or a similar feature would be a welcome addition to the bathroom facilities. Despite these minor points,. I would absolutely return and recommend it to others visiting Budapest.

The hotel is a charming old hotel property that has undergone renovation. Both the young man who checked me in and the young woman who checked me out were very friendly and courteous. The design and colour combination is beautiful and beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious. Contrary to breakfast spreads in most hotel chains in Western and Central Europe these days the breakfast buffet at the Mövenpick Hotel Budapest Centre incorporates fresh and tasty local products of high quality. Everything was a feast to the tongue - scrambled egg, raw crunchy and also grilled vegetables, Hungarian vegetable stew, porridge etc. The chocolate pastries are phenomenal. They have very generous amounts of high quality cocoa and they put to shame the most expensive and fashionable cafes in Paris, Milan and Berlin! In short there is a lot of choice and everything is delectable (even the packaged butter and the coffee from the espresso machine is better than any I had in recent years in hotel buffets in Europe and I travel extensively).

Some of the streets around the hotel show signs of neglect and are overdue for a deep cleaning but this is not the fault of the hotel. It is the fault of the mayor and municipality in Budapest who take tourists for granted and fail to upkeep the areas that are outside the posh zone by the river.

My three-night stay was very pleasant and comfortable and Movenpick Hotel Budapest Centre is ideally situated with excellent transport links nearby, like the Metro, trams and buses. I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfasts and my bedroom and bathroom were always very comfortable and clean. It's also great to have a Reader's Corner on the ground floor, which is quite cosy, with a very comfy armchair, reading lamp and a variety of books for reading! It was also really good to be back in Budapest - my third visit this year! So many amazing places to visit, experience and photograph. A big 'Thank you' to everyone and I will certainly recommend Movenpick Hotel to any friend who plans to visit Hungary.

No complaints at all.

It was the best experience ever. A beautiful hotel with good renovation, a spacious comfortable room where I found everything I needed including a steamer instead of iron for clothes, which is just what is needed for a traveler these days, a comfortable chair and table for using my laptop that I always have with me, all utilities in a very good condition, and a good air conditioning system that made my stay on a very hot day even more pleasant. It's worth mentioning a very good breakfast with a great choice of dishes to anyone's taste. It is very convenient that there's a small grocery store just next door that is open quite late. Another plus is that the hotel is just in front of a famous restaurant - New York Cafe, which is one of the landmarks of Budapest. Last but not least, I'd like to thank the wonderful personnel who were very polite and helpful.

The bathroom door opens "into" the bathroom and its structure makes it difficult to close it once you enter. This is rather a warning to the guests than a real complaint as there's nothing to do about it until next renovation. Also, it would be good to place bigger bottles of water in the room - I would even be happy to pay if I knew I wouldn't have to take an extra effort to buy drinking water at the end of the day

The Novotel Budapest Centrum is ideally located in the centre of the intriguing and magnificent Hungarian capital. My bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and clean, with comfortable mattresses. The hallways, main hall and corridors and reception area were very tidy and well-maintained. There is also a small, but cosy "Reader's Corner" complete with armchair and table lamp. I was delighted with the huge selection of food and cold/hot drinks for breakfast in a very atmospheric restaurant and all the staff were helpful and courteous. A big "Thank You" to everyone!

My bed pillows were too soft and didn't feel very comfortable.

The hotel was situated in a great location. The staff was kind enough to provide us with an upgraded room which was highly appreciated and we received the room sooner than the normal checkin time. Room was extremely spacious and comfortable. Very friendly staff and always eager to help.

The cleaning was not thoroughly done before our arrival as the night stands were a bit dusty. Also for a 4 * hotel I would have expected to have slippers available in the room. Shower supplies were not refilled before our arrival (shampoo bottle head was broken and could’t be used). The staff was nice to provide additional towels though when requested. Addressing these small inconveniences would make this a perfect hotel.

Very comfortable room, well sound-proofed, nice shower - a good place to stay if you're looking for a reasonable night's sleep. I also received a room upgrade which was a nice bonus. Lovely building, well maintained, with a sense of space. The no. 4 & 6 tram stop is 2 minutes away - a very frequent service that takes you right across the city. The bar is pleasant with friendly staff and nice food.

There are cheaper hotels, but in my experience they're not as comfortable. Not totally central but this is offset by metro and tram service very close by.
