The hotel is great, rooms are big, breakfest is awesome. there is a gym and a spa for the guests.

There are certain aspects of the service that are odd.. We arrived early and the room wasn't ready, but we were offered to uogrsde to a more expensive room that was available. we were promised to get a text once the room is ready, we never did. Upon checkout, we asked for a late checkout, we were told it's possible but also for an extra charge... I feel that an expensive hotel of this magnitude should not try to optimize charging guests for minor service things like these, especially since the hotel was half empty due to the season.

Facilities: We were thoroughly impressed with the overall quality and ambiance of the facilities. Staff: • Matias (General Manager at New York Café and White Salon Restaurant ): Demonstrated exceptional professionalism, friendliness, and a welcoming demeanor. • Martin, Teodora, Zina, Adrienne, and Zita: Each staff member was notably helpful, accommodating, and exhibited a genuine passion for their roles. Their dedication significantly enhanced our experience. • Rebeka: Proactively addressed an issue with our room by providing a thoughtful written communication, which we greatly appreciated. Spa Experience: We thoroughly enjoyed a rejuvenating 90-minute couples massage, which added to the overall relaxation of our stay. Overall, the combination of outstanding facilities and dedicated staff made our visit truly memorable.

Dear Anantara New York Palace Budapest Team, I recently stayed in Room 536 and would like to bring to your attention some maintenance issues that require attention: 1. Door Lock: The door lock was malfunctioning, raising concerns about security and ease of access. 2. Bathroom Facilities: The shower and bidet experienced drainage problems, leading to water pooling on the floor during use. I recommend a thorough inspection and prompt repair of these issues to enhance guest comfort and safety.

I had a wonderful stay at the Anantara Hotel Budapest. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience very welcoming. The on-site dining was excellent, the spa and the indoor swimming pool was a great way to unwind. The location isn’t right in the city center but still convenient enough for exploring. Overall, a great hotel for a relaxing and luxurious stay. Book your breakfast included and you will have breakfast every morning at the stunning New York Cafe, which is part of the hotel otherwise you do have to queue to get in as it gets extremely busy. I would definitely go back!

The location is not as central as I expected, but an Uber taxi to the center is only €6 and I also enjoy walking so it was not a big hassle for me.

Gorgeous & spacious room & bathroom, friendly staff, good room service offer with easy in-app ordering, plenty of toiletries including for the bidet, comfy bed, big TV with Chromecast, excellent location, spectacular architecture, including the elevators. I liked the steam sauna which was very effective. Access to amazing tables at White Salon with fantastic views (without the noise & bustle) of New York Café

The Eggs Benedict I ordered from room service had way too much sauce hollandaise on them for my liking. Sauna area was small and temperature in the relaxation room (which was noisy and rather bright) too cold for me.

Adored this hotel! Have stayed in luxury hotels in regions where service is considered to be extremely competitive (Middle East and Far East etc..) and this was one of the best stays. I had planned to stay in Budapest only a few nights but extended my stay just because of how much I loved this hotel. The property is absolutely stunning, rooms are spacious and wonderfully decorated, and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel taken care of and welcomed. The Anantara app / webpage also makes it easy to navigate everything as a guest, from ordering any new amenities, seeing menus of the onsite dining and room service, spa menu, timings of facilities etc. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful… breathtaking location inside the New York Cafe - and wonderful wonderful selection and spread with delicious ala carte options as well. The staff members all went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. The Atrium lobby is also stunning with amazing coffee. Loved coming back there for a mid day break. The spa is very nice with a sauna and very zen relaxation area and extensive menu of treatments.

It’s no doubt the most beautiful, elegant hotel we’ve stayed in. It’s super clean with very attentive staff and the most exceptional breakfast. It has those wonderful touches you would expect from a 5* - for example, turn-down service. The Piano Bar cocktails are a must!

Location wasn’t so great - felt like the hotel did not fit the surroundings. I would recommend to stay nearer to the river, maybe Hilton or Hotel Clark on the Buda side or Radisson or Verno House on the Pest side. I also felt that the New York Cafe is somewhat prioritised over hotel guests. For example, the live music plays for only 15 minutes in the hotel lobby and seems to play for hours in the cafe. Also as the location isn’t great, the view from the hotel rooms is just rooftops (and not very attractive ones) with also a huge crane right outside. For me, it’s not worth any upgrade to a balcony unless you wish to enjoy your morning coffee with the crane driver ;) My recommendation would be to stay elsewhere and visit the New York cafe.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (If I could give more, I would) From the moment we stepped in, we were treated like honoured guests. The food? Divine. Starting with breakfast and continuing through every meal (including room service), it was consistently delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly made with intention. Whoever is behind that kitchen deserves a standing ovation—and a raise. The staff is in a league of their own: warm, professional, attentive and attuned. Every person we encountered—from the front desk to the cafes/restaurants to spa attendants—made us feel genuinely cared for. We had a small issue with the air conditioning on the first night, and they handled it immediately with direct communication and efficiency, which increased our trust and appreciation. We came to Budapest for this hotel, and ended up spending most of our time within its walls, which speaks volumes. The spa facilities were so enjoyable and relaxing, we truly melted into them. The location is perfectly central yet blissfully quiet. Our room was spacious and elegant, and I must mention—the bathroom? Stunning. I found myself admiring the design more than once. And the bed... cloudlike comfort. We slept like royalty. Most of all, it’s the people who make this place extraordinary. There’s a culture of care and excellence here that I wish more places would encompass in their essence.

One small feedback: as this hotel is understandably popular for its beauty, guests and outside visitors often come to take photos(Instagram central haha). We noticed a professional photoshoot in the lobby/seating area during one of the afternoons, with ring lights flashing directly into other guests' eyes. While we appreciate the magic of the space, perhaps a bit of timing regulation or discretion would preserve the experience for everyone. Early morning shoots would be more considerate for shared spaces like the lobby. But tbh the hotel staff are doing their best to manage the "content creators" since in this digital age ppl often lose sight of spatial awareness and the lines of virtual reality and the offline world are blurry.

The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about the hotel and the Concierge was helpful booking my requirements. One of the greeters just inside the front entrance, brought my luggage to my room and showed me and explained all and functioning of my room contents.. I enjoyed the time and my late lunch food in the NY Cafe,,, and the pianist..the decor is beyond words.

In. NY Cafe, my female servers’ shift finished, just after I received my dessert. I asked one of the new shift servers to please take a photo of me with this special dessert. (My 56th wedding anniversary with my husband behind in Canada ) knowing he would live that dessert, he said he won’t do it but would ask another server—WHO NEVER CAME TO TAKE MY PHOTO—. I was at table #25.., Oh well

All is great with the hotel and staff. Staff is always helpful, including reception, room service, restaurant, bar and spa. When small inconveniences occur with pool, the staff immediately suggest nearest facilities at same rating hotel with a free transfer to and back. Upper management is always in touch with personnel to help and satisfy customer need, - what a great service class- an example for competitors and partners! This Hotel, the bar and White salon restaurant, the New York cafe I would suggest as "must visit" in Budapest for those, who value best accommodation, food and service in Europe. It is a convenient own garage parking with straight lift to the hotel. The air quality in corridors and rooms are good. I also have an impression, that all latest WHO recommendations for COVID-19 prophilactice are kept and strictly followed by personnel.

Beautiful hotel, a lot of character and history, wonderful Acqua di Parma amenities in the room, very comfortable and equipped room, super attentive service, not only in the reception but also in the spa and restaurants. Best fitness center I've seen in a hotel, brand new TechnoGym equipment. Breakfast is served in the New York Cafe, what an ambience and we've been pampered by Zsolt, making our start of the day special. We celebrated our wedding anniversary in a memorable dinner in the White Salon, thanks to special attention from Domokos. Location is also excellent, you are in walking distance of main attractions and can also experience less touristic restaurants in the area. I would recommend booking the spa in advance, great value and service.
