A beautiful and peaceful boutique hotel located near the most charming part of Buda. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and elegantly decorated. The restricted traffic in this part of the city made for wonderfully quiet nights. The à la carte breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared with high-quality ingredients. The coffee was good, and lactose-free milk was available. The breakfast staff were attentive and accommodating to our needs. It’s worth noting that room access is via stairs, which is typical for this type of establishment in historic buildings. The staff were highly professional and exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest; it’s a true gem.

The hotel is in a beautiful old building, but has a sleek and modern design on the interior. We had a nice big suite with great decor, a large comfortable bed and hot powerful shower. The chairs in the room were a nice touch when hanging out in the evenings. The hotel is actually situated in the castle district, Buda castle is a 10min walk away, with lots of other beautiful historic buildings to see en route. The views over the Danube to the parliament building are spectacular! I would 100% recommend staying here!

The towels were a bit small, but that is if I'm being picky...

The inclusive breakfast was very limited to croissant or cereal or fruit. Waiters a bit gruff. Location was fantastic although just street parking 25€ per day.

Very old and tiny hotel. No lounge. Sink and shower in room had very little privacy as no doors! We had one evening meal which was the most expensive out of our 7 evenings and there was 15% service charge and they asked for 5% charge on top for staff! Also got asked to tip when paying 75€ parking fee, never had that before. Very uncomfortable.

Exceptional staff. They had very high standards of customer service and made it a very good stay. We thought breakfast was included in our tariff and were quite surprised that it wasn't. Because the TV was not working properly in the room, they included the breakfast as part of the deal which was very appreciated.

Very surprised by the size of the room and the fact that the bathroom area was open. Even for close couples, it's nice to have some privacy. The toilet was also a converted wardrobe which although functional was not really the most comfortable option. Plus the toilet had one of those motion sensitive lights which kept on going off.

Amazing location, just steps away from the cathedral. From the moment we stepped inside the lobby, we were greeted with such warmth and courtesy, we felt right at home in the oldest hotel in Hungary (since 1696). The restaurant on site boasts great authentic Hungarian dishes. The room was very comfortable. Our only regret was that we could only spend one night.

One tiny detail to note - not a big deal, but it did freak us out a little bit. Being a small boutique hotel, there is no one at the reception early in the morning, which is totally understandable. We had to leave the hotel at 4am to catch our flight back to Canada. The main door only opens after pushing a button adjacent to it. Well, it didn't work. We both tried several times. We started panicking, feeling trapped inside the hotel, while our Uber was waiting outside for us, to take us to the airport. There was no posted phone number anywhere, to call someone in such a situation. Eventually, after trying 6-7 times, the door finally unlocked. But until that happened, we felt very powerless. Still not sure what happened, but it's definitely something worth looking into...

Beautiful boutique hotel in a fabulous location. Spotlessly clean. Great Bistro attached - we had a lovely breakfast here and the staff squeezed us in for a late night desert before they closed.

We were on the second floor - there isn’t a lift - it wasn’t a problem at all for us but flagging in case it is relevant for future guests when booking. We paid to upgrade to a suite as we wanted a bathroom door etc for privacy - some of the other rooms are more “open plan” with the bathrooms.

Gorgeous, quaint, stylish, comfortable hotel! So charming, yet with all the modern conveniences. Loved working at the desk with the windows open to the charming street below. The style of the decor was gorgeous. The walkable location to all the castle sites and restaurants was amazing. We loved this hotel.

It’s hard to think of anything. There is a large construction project across the street as they restore a very old building. Sometimes at night, all the plastic they have covering the building would start flapping if there was wind, and in the middle of the night I had a hard time figuring out what the noise was. It’s a fairly quiet sound, but it’s good to know what it is.

Location was excellent, all staff were very friendly. Breakfast was all fine.

Shower/Toilets doors were made of glass which were transparent! There was also an external door (with had a blind) the outside light was on throughout the night which kept us awake. One of the bedside lights was not working and despite telling the staff, this was not fixed.

What an amazing experience we had! We visited Budapest for a few days of combining exploring the city with relaxation and this was the best choice we could have made. We stayed at the atelier suite and it was one of the best stays we have ever had. It is located in the heart of Buda Castle and it is very close to all the sights of that side but also close to a bus station that can take you straight to Pest. We mostly used scooters to be honest but also the bus which had a very pretty itinerary! The room was amazing and maintained clean and tidy always! Exactly as pictured! The staff was very helpful with everything we needed and any questions we had regarding the city or our stay and always kind and friendly. Breakfast was also great and we had the best croque madame ever! We highly recommend!

The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet area, next to Mathias Church and to Buda Castle. Very easy and quick to get to the Pest side of Budapest with bus or tram. For me the best place to stay in Budapest!! The hotel is small, very sweet, with beautiful bedrooms, very comfortable beds and a good breakfast! If I ever return to Budapest I will definitely stay again in Pest-Buda hotel!
