Exceptional staff ... friendly and helpful. Very helpful in arranging transits to airport, station etc. Lovely relaxed vibe in the hotel. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Superb breakfast. Delicious meal at their seafood restaurant.

The hotel is a little out of the way and transport to and from the hotel was not that easy particularly at night. It took some time to get to Fott Kochi and other sights. The bar served nice food but was a bit claustrophobic. Otherwise everything was superb.

The breakfast and dinner buffet was great, a big choice and a good opportunity to test different indian dishes. There were a lot of plants, which was very nice. The price was good. The service at the restaurant was good. The island is quite and close to Fort Cochin.

The staff was not very helpful, when I asked, what we could do in Cochin. The dinner time was with 7:30 pm too late for us. It was loud at the pool, because of some works. There were no opportunities to sit outside in the shadow, except the deck chairs at the pool. There was a restaurant close to the pool, but as soon as the dinner tables were set, we were not allowed to sit there, which was two hours before dinner time srarted, so we could not even sit there, when we were willing to order something. They were willing to order a taxi for us, but then we had to pay three times as much, as would be usual (uber).

Buffet breakfast was very good and the attached seafood restaurant was excellent. We also had a buffet supper in the main restaurant which was fine. Swimming pool area was OK. Staff were pleasant and helpful and it was fine for a short stay. Rooms were spacious and clean

Location is very strange on a man-made island that belongs to the Indian government. It is basically a port and there are huge silos of oil, concrete and goodness knows what else not far from the hotel which have been offloaded there. Most of the traffic on surrounding roads are large tricks. Most of the surrounding houses have been abandoned following a flood a few years ago. Consequently there are few other eating options without taking ferry or taxi to Fort Cochi

Had a memorable break in this property located away from the hustle and bustle of crowded Cochin but still very close by. First impressions are the best and the front desk is among the most important parts of any property. Valerie set the tone when she took time to tell us about the amenities in the room and the property. Her advice on using the ferry to get to fort Kochi rather than travelling by our own car proved to be a blessing in hindsight. We used the ferry to get there and noticed all the roads were jam packed with vehicles and the place filled with people getting ready to welcome 2025. The standard rooms are huge and clean by all standards and you will never come across such standard rooms in Europe, US or Japan for this price. The staff were kind, polite and non intrusive. The property has all standard facilities. The food that we had a la carte from the restaurant was really good. I gave 5 stars because this property served its purpose and we felt rested and rejuvenated after taking a break here.

Hope they could fix the elliptical/cross trainer and the calf raise machine in the gym. The food like I mentioned earlier was pretty good save for the butter chicken which was salty and felt like it was taken from the buffet menu. But these are very few flaws, as we had a nice stay here and felt better off for choosing this for our one day break

Location is a bit weird, don’t expect to be able to do anything on willingdon island - most of it is a naval base. Have to rely on tuktuk then ferry to get to fort cochi quickly, this stops from 8.30pm…later than this it’s a 25 min tuktuk on bumpy roads. That said this is why it is so much cheaper than a fort kochi hotel. They organised a taxi from the airport but this was 3,800 rupees c. 4x the uber rate…may have been cheaper if we had specified a smaller car than AC Innova.

The breakfast spread spread was awesome ! As a family we enjoyed it. The dinner menu buffet spread was also very good. Loved the swimming pool. Well maintained with a staff on duty always present. The gym is also good. The air conditioning was excellent! The lobby area is vast and well designed.

The hotel provides only bottled Bisleri water, of course free of charge. As a hotel that practices sustainability, they should be encouraging the use of RO water to guests and prevent accumulation of plastic water bottles.

Room was spacious. Stayed in this hotel many years ago. I remember it was bustling and busy with very good ambience. Now it is quiet and looks bit dated. Restaurants are very good. Breakfast fare was very good. Staff was polite and helpful. Location is bit depressing. It's in port area with godowns and shipping agency offices around. Willingdon Island is far off location from Marine Driver and Airport.

Hotel looks dated and old fashioned compared to many modern hotels in Cochi. Wish the fish restaurant was air-conditioned.

This was my second time here with a gap of 3 years in between and much hasn't changed - for good. The property still reserves its old world charm with colonial and keralean influence. Decked with Tanjore paintings and with the photographs of the erstwhile kochin kingdom along with few of its rulers, the halls, walkways and common guest areas are a delight to the eyes. The rooms are spacious and dining was a delight, the food is really filling and fresh. The only downside I noted this time was the breakfast which was really dull, bland and lacked varieties and also the limited parking space remains the same, they do have valet parking though. They have a lengthy pool and an ambient poolside with beautifully catered lawns. The neighborhood is really calm and quiet but not so far away from necessities - they have a taxi stand, ATMs, petrol bunks, hospital and other conveniences nearby. This place is best for people who enjoy staying a little far away from the hustle and traffic of the city but not being too detached from the vibe of the city. A good place to bring kids and elders alike or for business travel cause they have excellent wifi round the clock with spacious board rooms and lounges. The staff continues to maintain the famed CGH Earth hospitality, they are really cordial, helpful and friendly and the room service was prompt without any delays. The cherry on the cake is that they have books kept everywhere even in rooms for a short read. I really enjoyed the stay with my parents and will definitely return, hoping that the breakfast issue will be solved then.

The breakfast was very un-interesting compared to the taste and freshness which their restaurant produced otherwise.

We liked the room and its size. Particularly, we liked the breakfast buffet with a lot of options. The hotel is located in a quite place which we liked.

The room didn't have any view. The check-in time was 2 PM. When we reached the hotel around 3:30, their lunch time was over which was only till 3 PM I think. After this, we did not have any option to have proper food. They had only snacks available to order and we had to go out for lunch. I think it would have been better to have lunch on the way to the hotel.

The hotel is very well managed, boasting two restaurants that serve delicious food with exceptional menus. The breakfast was sumptuous. The pool was very pleasant and we were well cared for during our stay, able to order room service, poolside drinks and snacks. Access to Fort Kochi is by tuk tuk and ferry, or by taxi. Because the location is on Willingdon Island, it is not so easy to pop in to the city or the fort, but the peace and tranquility is a plus. The seafood restaurant under the banyan tree provided very special food. The room was very comfortable with a great mattress and regular cleaning. The staff were very helpful.

Be aware that the property is close to an airbase and daytime helicopter and plane flights cross the gardens - a bit noisy. The buffet lunch and dinner was excellent in quality and extensive, but as older people with limited appetites, the cost was prohibitive (1200 rupees per head)….perhaps they could introduce a pensioner lunch rate!
