Loved the service- the staff were polite, prompt and their work was impeccable. The room was spacious enough, with sliding storage drawers under the bunks, one for each guest/bunk. The attached bathroom was absolutely pristine, and more importantly, it stayed that way throughout my stay, as there were staff who'd come in and clean it everyday. The wifi worked well, the common areas- the indoor common room as well as the terrace- were beautifully maintained and kept very clean. The food was exceptional, with a small buffet breakfast each day and other items made to order for the other meals. Overall, 10/10 would recommend.

I like that they have a terrace area which is open and widespread and contains many tables for sitting, relaxing and also dining, they also have a cafe on the terrace which offers delicious indian cuisine, they also serve breakfast on the terrace which is terrific because of the open area, for fresh air and sunlight in the mornings. There is also space on the terrace to workout or practice yoga, I like that a lot. They also have a couple of dumbbells and barbells. The staff are respectful and efficient, Suresh in particular, whom is very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Did I also mention that the hostel is located at the heart of the fruit market for the health conscious.

I don't like that the hostel doesn't have curtains on the beds, like I have seen at various other hostels which can be mildly irritating when room mates turn on the light at night when I am trying to sleep. Another important element is the signboard of the hostel which is very small and it makes it difficult to locate the building, even when getting something delivered to me.

From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff. The hostel's common areas were always buzzing with energy, making it easy to meet new people and have a great time. A huge shoutout to the in-house chef! Every meal was a culinary delight, and I loved trying the local dishes they whipped up. It was a fantastic way to experience the authentic flavors of the city. The crowd here was amazing. Everyone was so fun-loving and easygoing, making it feel like I was hanging out with old friends. We had so many laughs and shared incredible experiences together. If you're looking for a hostel that's both comfortable and full of life, I highly recommend Locomo. It's the perfect place to meet new people, explore the city, and create unforgettable memories.

The main thing here is the proximity to the airport. It was nice having water bottles in the room. 247 reception. Music at breakfast was cool. Location was good for walking around nearby through veg markets.

Entrance can be a bit scary when coming late at night as the front door isn’t on the road but inside of an alley. Several flights of stairs up so it’s a problem if you have a heavy suitcase. (Won’t be an issue for backpackers.) Minimal English spoken at the property so communication was a bit difficult. Good thing for translation apps! Breakfast starts late and has very few options- 8am and no tea or coffee is served before 8 am. Door lock on private room didn’t work properly.

My stay at Locomo Hostel Mumbai was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The atmosphere is vibrant, clean, and welcoming. This was a great place to stay for the night between flights in Mumbai. Super close to the airport and to a train station, making a day trip into Mumbai very easy. Our flight out wasn’t until very late at night, but the staff were kind enough to allow us to store our bags for the day and even let us hang out in the common areas while we waited for our flight. They also booked an Uber for us to the airport. Highly recommend.

Only thing was I was unable to pay by card on arrival, which is too much of a problem but if you want to pay on arrival make sure to bring enough cash (ATMs are also close by, although may not have enough cash in them)

A hostel with very European vibe. Fantastic rooftop, especially cozy in the evening - it was so nice to look down at busy Mumbai life. We felt very safe in this place. A lot of foreigners. The breakfast was limited but tasty and sufficient. Complimentary chai in the afternoon. Friendly and very helping staff. 3 min walk from the metro station that can bring you anywhere. Not far from the airport - the road was not busy. We enjoyed our stay and consider to come back.

The entrance to the building looked a bit strange, if not to say shocking (old entrance like no one lives inside the building), but once you reach the hotel on the 3rd floor, it is all okay. Also, there is a security guard downstairs, who can help to navigate.

I liked this location of Locomo better than the other one in Santacruz (I stayed in both). This one is just a 2 min walk from the train station, very convenient. Also, this Locomo hostel has proper hot water in the shower and good water pressure. They have a very nice terrace with a good view to watch sunsets and socialize, also the social vibe at this hostel was better: I met some nice people. The breakfast was good too. You can also book tours via hostel or get useful reccomendations where to eat and so on. They can keep your luggage after check out.

It's not that I didn't like but something to keep in mind: as Mumbai is a big and expensive city, a lof of Indians move there for work and studies, and before they find proper accomodation, they stay in hostels (some for weeks, months, etc) with huge luggage. So that makes hostels lose a bit the travel vibe.
