- Great location in the centre of Ubud - Friendly staff who were very accommodating and communicated well via whatsapp over anything we needed and also extra tours and guides etc

- We found the beds to be quite uncomfortable although i appreciate this could be a personal preference - The shower pressure was absolutely terrible

I want to start by saying I hardly ever write reviews, especially not good ones . But This has been one of the best experiences of a budget stay I’ve had in Bali .. I decided to keep booking longer as the more I stayed the more I liked it. It’s in the city centre it’s really clean comfortable and quiet I was unfortunate enough to get violently sick from food poisoning And the lady at the reception Desak Anggreni was my absolute hero she cared for me kept me rehydrated I had her number so I could text her if I needed her. She had a doctor on call if I needed and she really did take such good care of me that I felt so happy that I was in such a good place to be sick, in a foreign country alone.. she is still taking care of me on my recovery. The beds are five star hotel quality the most comfortable I’ve slept in in Bali and that’s including big flashy hotels I’ve stayed in. Also The breakfast is great here and it gets delivered to your balcony so you can have it in private..

The pool area isn’t very big i’m very shaded so bad for sunbathing.. the pool also isn’t very big but you can get a few strokes in and it’s a nice cool pool after a long day walking in the city..

The room was very comfortable & cold, didn't even need A/C but it was good that they had it. The shower water was hot and had very good pressure, which is impossible to find in Bali! It even had amenities, like soap, shampoo, shower caps, I brought my own thinking for that price, they probably didn't have any but they did!

The key was a little tough but it was fine, you just gotta jam it a little - The staff there helped us out the first time. Luckily, there was parking for a motorcycle but if the are was fully booked, it might have been a little difficult. There were other reviews that complained about a whole bunch of stuff, I think they're crazy, this place was 100% awesome and worth the price.

We really enjoyed out stay. The staff were friendly and always willing to help us book a tour or answer any questions we have. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious with good coffee. The location is in central Ubud so easily accessible to anything you might need. Highly recommend!

The room was lovely and clean, the bed was super comfortable. I had a room upstairs which is a lot better than down the stairs. Location perfect... Astana House is in a small compound with other Houses similar to it. There are a total of 3 separate dwelling's.

Mmmm Not sure really... Oh that"s rights the towels were stained... New towels they defiantly need. We didn't know when we booked that it was in a compound, we thought it was only one building as per the picture.

This small guest house is located in the center of Ubud, very close to main touristic attractions. Monkey forest, Ubud palace, Saraswati temple, market, many cafes, spa, shopping centers are in a short walk distance. And at the same time it is a quiet place. They have a small swimming pool to relax. Mrs Putri at reception was very friendly and helpful.

It would be good to have more light in the bathroom close to the mirror.

Would 100% recommend Astana House. Staff cleaned the room every day, breakfast was plentiful, the air conditioning kept the room at a good temperature, the bed was very comfortable, staff were very friendly and the location was perfect! The staff also facilitated a last minute request extend our stay without any problems.

Where do I start. The family are just so kind and friendly. They are always willing to assist and breakfast was super. I got addicted to the pancakes. They can assist with laundry and I had lots of deliveries so they found their way to my room. It’s in the middle of Ubud but just like a tiny oasis. I am already going to return.

For me the bed was a bit firm but that’s just my preference. I really have zero complains. Everything was fantastic

Breakfast we good, and brought to my room every morning. I was out for one morning as I climbed up Mt Batur and they put come fruit in my fridge for when I got back.

Not directly accessible by car so if you have a lot of bags, there is a little walk to get to the stay.

Great location close to shops and restaurants. Small, family-run business. Although close to the main streets, still quiet and secluded. Pool area was great for a quick dip in the afternoon. Banana pancakes for breakfast. Yum!

TV had no service. Air conditioning was OK, but room was a little stuffy at night.
